1281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 18, 2023, 09:43:24 AM
I agree, it is better for Magsayo to be slick, and quick and must launch a scoring punch rather than a knock-out punch.  This way he can compete against Vargas in scoring.  Besides not putting much of force on the punches can render him more mobile and quick.  He should know when to launch heavy knockout punches and the scoring punches.  Sadly, Magsayo is all brawn and not using his brain during the fight against Vargas.

For sure Magsayo's camp is already aware of those problems. If ever given a chance again to face Vargas, those problems will surely be addressed. Let's also consider the fact that Magsayo isn't really outscored in the match as he won the one judge.

Surely Magsayo has learned a thing or two about Vargas's strength and his weakness especially recently when Foster revealed how to defeat Vargas, although I'm not sure that Magsayo can use that one because they have a different fighting style and Foster is quite slick, that is why Vargas failed in his attempt. This time, Magsayo should level up his game because he will get embarrassed for sure if he didn't learn something from their first encounter.

Magsayo stated the he expected to win that match but decided to respect the judge's decision. It means Magsayo didn't really being overwhelmed by Vargas' strength. Also new to Magsayo's experience fighting against a long reach and much taller compared to him.

Figueroa has the same specifications as Vargas with height advantage and long reach. Magsayo will use his experienced fighting Vargas in his fight against Figueroa.
One difference though is that Brandon is more of a brawler type of boxer, face first and are not afraid to engage his opponents in the middle of the ring or even in the corner. We have seen him in that Fulton fight wherein he narrowly lost.

And if Magsayo is looking for a rematch with Rey Vargas, and so is Figueroa against Fulton. Same mindset of Mark, he thinks he win and he disagree with the judges score. But he can't do anything for now. So this two are looking for a big win in their clash.

Both are in a same mission to take back their loss glory and if given a chance for sure they will really aim for another title fight, I like he idea that both of them will be aggressive and will do all the best that they can do to win the fight, the outcome of the fight is the entertainment to all the fans who are waiting for another great view when watching fighters inside the ring.

We will know or conclude if who will be the one that will earn that chance to move to another fight and chase for the belt.

This fight will be very unpredictable for sure. Although I'm obviously rooting for Mark Magsayo, if he performs the same way as he did in his last fight, then I won't be very hopeful that he can win this one. This is a redemption fight for him since he was once an undefeated fighter but suffered losses against Vargas. The way for him to climb back up is to start winning again.
1282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 18, 2023, 09:32:23 AM
Hopefully, coach Chot will be mentored by coach Tim in terms of executing a system that will work for the whole squad.

Not with the running gun plays, but a system that will maximize all the talents of each player inside the court.

Perhaps Coach Tim should be the one coaching Gilas Pilipinas. Criticism of Coach Chot will never stop as long as he remains the coach. There is a lot for him to prove because our national team has not been performing well in international competitions. I believe it's Coach Tab's fault; he set a high standard that is difficult to follow and exceed.
1283  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If You Could Start Over, How Would you Learn Day Trading on: February 17, 2023, 09:57:16 PM
Many people will seek out mentor to trade on the first day, but after that they will be independent enough to do so. I ran into the same thing due to my ignorance of how it works. I have budget for trading, but I need to understand the market and the platform I'm using and how to secure my assets. Maybe a good move would be to teach yourself, but it's a lot harder from day one.

Some one can develop an interest in trading over time, that includes joining a community of traders or something like that. The more people we meet talking about trading, the more knowledge we will get. This is important to note because when we only do it ourselves, we tend to get stuck in developing our abilities.
Perhaps, that is really what will happen because we can't just rely on our mentor for the whole but rather stand on our own and make our own decision. Besides, the purpose of having a mentor is to teach us and it was easy and very clear than online tutorials. At the moment that we are ready enough to make a trade alone, that moment also makes us think that mentors are not needed anymore. Because what I see is that trading is continuous learning, the more we do actual trading, the more we can get ideas that can help us to improve and discover more things.
1284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake paid promotions on Twitter on: February 17, 2023, 01:48:45 PM
Actually, this issue is very common these days because it was easy to manipulate the minds of the viewers on social media, especially if it is coming from known personalities. It was hard to say but I think we should also have to know that Twitter has now become a medium for huge scamming events and a lot of people got tricked and lose their money. And this will give us a lesson why we should be careful in dealing strangers and not easy to trust them especially when talking about money, talking about investment.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: February 17, 2023, 09:31:07 AM
I agree Haney should be focusing on his incoming fight against Loma or else he would find himself slipping away from his title if he doesn't focused on his next fight.

It would be a big mistake for Haney to underestimate Loma. Although Haney is one of the hottest boxers at the moment, there's no room for complacency when facing a skilled boxer like Loma. That's why I prefer to bet on older boxers, as they are veterans who have been in many different battles and have proven to be great. In my opinion, if we compare the fights of both boxers, I would say Loma has won more quality fights.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 17, 2023, 08:57:11 AM
I thought that I saw some news that Westbrook has begun talks with the Clippers after being given permission by Utah Jazz. Personally, I think the Clippers are the best landing spot for WB right now. He is already established in the city after playing there with the Lakers. The Clippers have lots of shooters that will benefit from Westbrook, and he already established chemistry with Paul George. It will be good to see him play with Kawhi and Paul George.

Westbrook is not a totally bad player now. While his performance declined with the Lakers, he still had impressive stats when he played with the Rockets and Wizards. I wouldn't be surprised if he landed with the Clippers, as right now, the team needs someone aggressive enough to spread the floor, and Westbrook can certainly deliver that.

It's just a matter of chemistry that's important for the team, since Westbrook already has the talent. His shooting has improved, and his athleticism is still there.
1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a crypto project reliable and trustworthy ? on: February 16, 2023, 09:32:18 PM
In terms of projects, I don't think that luck should be associated with their success. That's what I think and believe that everything should be worked out and they have to do it based on what they're conducting by working on that project.
But we as individuals, I think we tend to believe with luck when we invest on a project that suddenly made us interested on buying it.
We surely did believe in luck when we invest on a project that we will earn profit and I don't think that it is wrong to be like that or to think like that. We all have our ways on what we do either on investing in a project or other things. We sometimes did have our unlucky moments as what shamm posted and it doesn't mean that it is because of the project's luck that we didn't earn profit. I can only say that a project is trustworthy if it continues to exist after it is launched rather than turning into dust.
Nothing wrong with seeking luck but this is should not be our practice, it is good to practice investing in projects that are really profitable and we know it can happen. Because we can't just rely on luck here, even though we are a newbie must not think about it but rather improve our knowledge and skills to determine what is a good project and what is a worthless one. Otherwise, we are just investing like gambling and the chances are slim - 50/50. I think we can't afford to have that chance of winning or losing because what we want is to earn.
1288  Economy / Economics / Re: A steady source of income is a man's bottom line to support his family on: February 16, 2023, 02:06:48 PM
We can say that having a good and reliable source of income makes you not feel any worries and could live peacefully without thinking about where to get money for daily expenses. It was a responsibility not just for the man but also for the woman who wants to have comfortable life to give to the family. The more care about the future, the more we are eager to work hard and earn more money because in this time, we can't rely on others to help us but rather make our own way to survive.
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting fraud in Brazil 😦 on: February 16, 2023, 11:50:30 AM
This is so rigged, and unfortunately, we can't prevent it in sports as long as sports betting exists. Big events have larger betting limits, making it easier for players to wager on specific outcomes and make easy money. However, if they get caught, it would mean the end of their career and future prospects.

A rigging scheme that is hard to detect is beneficial for them, as it does not put their careers at risk while still allowing them to make money. However, this case seems to be quite different
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 16, 2023, 11:30:43 AM
Magnolia is currently playing against NLEX.

I noticed that Smart Sports no longer has a live stream on their Facebook page. What happened? Why are they no longer sharing the live stream? I am currently watching a live stream from an unknown streamer, but the audio quality is not very good.
1291  Economy / Speculation / Re: How was your belief formed? on: February 15, 2023, 09:39:25 PM
when talking about our money and investing , we must always put trust into that matter  no matter what comes out because this will also build your confidence and skills. boosting your inner belief and idea and going to progress and success.
that is what motivates us into investing and not negativities .
It's true what you say, the trust that is formed will produce results that make us more productive in investing, something we cannot see but we can be sure of it will move by itself in our mindset and heart, the more we come into contact with bitcoin every Day by day we are increasingly curious about what bitcoin can give us and that curiosity makes us understand many things about bitcoin which encourages us to have even better skills to increase our investment in bitcoin. But to be honest, I personally also sometimes feel doubtful for some time but I'm always reminded of the initial purpose of investing in bitcoin and why I believe in it.
Doubts are normal but the moment that we fully understand how it works, it definitely changes to positivity. As long as we have an interest to something like Bitcoin, we never stop doing research and do found why we have to trust this kind of investment and can make an argument against our friends. As we have a solid purpose of being, no way we could stop until we reach our goal and to prove to the people around us that we are not a failure and to show them that we are not wrong in what we say.
1292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching children Bitcoin is not in vain on: February 15, 2023, 09:09:47 PM
Bitcoin is digital currency that is being widespread almost all the continent, and some people notice the development of Bitcoin very late, and it enables some people not to invest in Bitcoin in far back 2009 and 2010. Therefore i noticed that teaching children of Bitcoin in early stage and mostly children that is up to ten years and above, inculcating the functions and the importance of Bitcoin in children will make them to develop widely with the knowledge being inculcates with them already. I think that Bitcoin is good to be known from youthful age. I have noticed that assuming so many of us notice the important of Bitcoin in time we would have all be a partial millionaire if I'm not mistaken of being a full millionaire.
It’s not a wrong move to educate children about bitcoin but never expect that they will get completely the real meaning of bitcoin especially that bitcoin topic is quite complicated. But at least, the fact that you start inculcating to them the value of bitcoin and how it will be more profitable in the future, then they will always remember and be aware of that. But expecting them to be millionaire in the future because of bitcoin, that point could mean letting them feel about being pressured about bitcoin which I think is not supposed to happen since they will be the one to chase their luck and life.
Giving them some overview of the market and how it applies just enough for a kid. But if they discuss about investment, that is somewhat complicated to understand which only ended up being less effective and can still be forgotten. I believe that giving them financial education and advice is quite a good idea and forces them how to value money. Because they soon fully understand crypto investment, about Bitcoin when they are old enough to handle stress and when they also have an interest.
1293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis vs Ryan Garcia on: February 15, 2023, 10:43:19 AM
It is definitely sure though that someone will be knocked out. This fight might not go to a decision so I will be monitoring the odds on knockout rounds rather than just taking the win or loss which ain't profitable unless you are betting for the underdog.
Knock out rounds would be profitable if you think Tank can knock out Garcia, I think it would be in late rounds e.g. 7-9 rounds or 10-12 rounds. But for me personally it's really hard to see knock out in this match, so I will watch for the odds on winning method Tank via decision. It should be high because he's have a high KO rate. As long as Garcia isn't too careless and only want to hit Tank, he wouldn't get knocked out.
A KO is more likely to happen than this fight reaching a decision. Both fighters are KO artists, so what else can we expect? We've seen Ryan Garcia get knocked down before, and if I'm not mistaken, it was in the early rounds. So if Davis lands a punch that knocks him down this time, I don't think he'll be able to stay in the game for much longer.
all Boxers has a potential to bring their opponent down in one punch but this needs timing and strength .

Yeah Ryan Garcia have been knocked down once so there is always a chance to make this two , while Davis is also a strong fighter , this will be either a early knockout or a fight of stamina and skills to maintain their feet standing .

But personally , I am for garcia here .. Grin

I'm glad we are on the same side, mate. Garcia is also a KO artist, and although he has been knocked down once in his career, I would not underestimate his chin. He has trained hard for this fight, so I'm sure he will stand up again if that happens. On the other hand, Davis is known for his strength, but I like Garcia's size advantage in this match-up.
1294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 15, 2023, 09:39:58 AM
And this is the Celtics without Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
No Marcus Smart as well.

This is also why I doubted betting against them. Seriously, Derrick White is getting better on the offensive end and playmaking for the team, that's the 3rd consecutive game with a double-double in points and assists. He just needs the minutes and it's showing up, this is how he played in the Spurs back then.
He already gained that message, he is one of the reasons why Celtics have improved as a team. Not only his offense but his defense as well, his basketball IQ as well is high and he doesn't look pressure on the court, he played with great concentration, so I would say, they really need him in the playoffs, and do things like he did in the past.
1295  Economy / Economics / Re: In your country, today is money the real root of all evil? on: February 14, 2023, 09:41:11 PM
Money, of course, has 2 different sides, it can be a devil or an angel, but for now what is happening in my country is more of a devil, this is because many people do anything because of money, the poor can rob money, the rich can bribe the government to commit crimes such as clearing land, burning forests, and so on, nowadays many people are not ashamed when they are caught in corruption cases, when they have money then the law can be easily bought.
Some people had used their money to extend their power and that is a problem in my country, Yes, it was indeed used for bribery and able to control politicians and authorities which I see it should not be but somehow, it has been a common practice in our place (and it might also happen in other countries).

Not all are having this way, some had used their money for good and for helping poor people but I say that due to greediness of power, many people had changed because of money and they'll turn different from being good to have a bad attitude.
1296  Economy / Economics / Re: Can one achieve financial independence through crypto currency? on: February 14, 2023, 01:23:26 PM

Given these factors, the dream of financial freedom can come true by using crypto currency?
Not really but we can consider this as one contributor to our financial freedom.
Looking for financial freedom can't just get solely to crypto investment but this can only be possible when having multiple sources of income. With the volatility of the market, it was found to be a riskier investment that couldn't guarantee assurance which is why some people will say that crypto investment is not a passive investment.
1297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 14, 2023, 08:03:37 AM

But I would like to see how Inoue will change that point of view too. There's no competition left in his former weight class and this is the obvious reason why he climbed the ladder. Maximize that young career of him and gain more fame by dominating another weight.
My prediction is, he will just be a bit surprised in the first round or maybe until the second round but he will definitely show us a good fight when he finds his rhythm.

Inoue is an extraordinary boxer, he dominate the division before he move up, and since he still believe he can achieve more, that's the reason why he moved up and challenge the champion. The most interesting part here is never a chance that people think Inoue would lose, I mean, you can see on the betting odds, Inoue is the heavy favorite, so that represents how majority think on his chances to win this fight.
1298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 14, 2023, 07:21:45 AM
it is a decision for Magsayo , like what most votes here now and I am sure that with his confidence and advantage he will get this title .
though Figueroa on the other hand is great boxer but this is not for him now , the Filipino Moxer has all the potential to partially take this win.

Just being a biased here that's why I'm in favor to Magsayo. But I consider Figueroa as a threat and not that easy to beat.

Both are eagerly want to become a champion and expects them to show all their best to be the interim champion.

Since Vargas lose recently against Foster, the winner of this match will have another challenge to think as they will have to go against Vargas to fully claimed the belt and being a champion.

Same here, I'm also biased, and honestly, I think Magsayo is not yet a complete fighter based on what I've seen on his last defeat. Well, I'm just hopeful that in this small ample of time that he is preparing, hopefully I'll see a major improvement. He is a KO artist, we know that, but he is not so dominant like other boxers who still remain undefeated now.
1299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What most gamblers do. on: February 11, 2023, 11:49:07 AM
Well, the majority don't have especially if you are already in addiction but I know some (wise) gamblers do savings.
It is too hard to imagine but most gamblers made gambling their priority over saving or investing. What they have earned has been used to gamble hoping to get lucky and multiply their money.

I don't say that gambling makes poor people become poorer but this is really about how we manage ourselves into this. It was not a problem to get involved in gambling but the problem is that if we got addicted to it.
1300  Economy / Economics / Re: Important tips to note when considering switching career path. on: February 11, 2023, 11:17:13 AM
There are several reasons why a person could think about leaving their job for another.
1, salary - it is very common to someone would take a bigger offer, especially this time when inflation gets worse
2, environment - working together in toxic environments seems not healthy and could make you unproductive, and leaving them seems the best option
3, Distance - if we already have a family, living far away is not easy. If we have the option to work near them, I think we should take that even though the salary is not really competitive enough compared to our previous job.
