1321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I keep my BNB or Sell it? on: February 04, 2023, 10:04:30 AM
Hi, I'm new to here. So just want to ask your help or guide.

I have currently 800$ worth BNB. These are got from NFT that I sold back months ago that I got from airdrop. So what i need to know should I convert it to stable coin or should I invest it for bitcoin? Because my friends say that BNB don't have a future anymore. So I'm fully worry about this.
keeping it is a good decision, and exchanging it for bitcoins is also a good decision. As long as Binance is still operating and still a big exchange, then the potential for BNB to become a more expensive coin has great opportunities. in fact, during a bull market, many assume that BNB will reach a price in the thousands of dollars. Well, I don't think it's something to exaggerate if we look at the current popularity of Binance. Apart from that, exchanging them for bitcoins is also a good decision. there is no need to explain the quality of bitcoin. if a bull market occurs, then bitcoin will be one of the cryptos whose price rises high. Between the two decisions you will make, both can have a good outcome.
In today's situation where Binance is still one of the trusted exchanges, keeping BNB as our asset is, of course, a good choice. But we also have to remember that not all the time the price of BNB is high, it can be possibly low. Holding is a good decision as well but I think it was regretful also if we let the pump end without doing anything like selling some of it. I'd say that investing is not just about holding but also selling. Buy during the dip and sell them during the bull season.
1322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 04, 2023, 09:23:45 AM
I suggest you watch Figueroa vs Fulton and see the work rate of Brandon:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YfRYixUEj4

But he is moving up to 126 lbs and fighting a natural featherweight, so this fight is really very interesting and hard to see who is going to win. Magsayo is coming off from a big lost against Rey Vargas and the same with Figueroa against Fulton. So they really need to win here to get back on track to become another wold champion.

Thanks for the video bro  Smiley.

Figueroa is a volume puncher and the work rate is amazing but the question now going into this fight against Magsayo is if he could bring that work rate and power to the Featherweight division which is the natural weight of Magsayo, that's what makes this fight 50-50 for me.

As we can see on the last fights of Figueroa, he is a slow starter so i think Magsayo should exploit this weakness and attack early to get the KO or at least filed up points so that if this will go the distance, he could win by decision.

Based on that work rate yes, he is a volume puncher, but he doesn't have the power, no sting in his punch that's why Fulton was able to withstand his attack and even Fulton seems to go down, he was able to hold and then comeback again.

If only that volume will just have that power, maybe he will be a great boxer.

As compare to Magsayo, not that much volume, decent work rate but he has the power to send Figueroa into the canvass in this fight.

Magsayo suffered his first defeat on his previous fight, so this is a very important fight for him. He needs to ensure a win here and it will only happen if he has improved from his past performance which he lacks stamina. I hope Magsayo's career will still grow, it's just sad seeing a champion losing his career due to successive losses.
1323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 04, 2023, 08:22:30 AM
Terrible week gambling here.  Going to take it down to just 2 games tonight hoping for at least a 2/3 to get back on track.

3 home teams 2 favorites and 1 dog

Wizards -3
Boston -10.5, how can't you take this team lol
And last gimme the Rockets +8 at home.  That's a lot of points to give while at home.

Good luck everyone.

that is why I haven't made my bet for today's game, I am taking a break for today's game but still going to watch the action from the comfort of my home,
I guess the spread of the Celtics was so attractive to trap bettors, LOL. I didn't expect that the Suns will have a huge lead at the early quarters, it seems like this team gets better and better against a strong team, I also remember when they have double figure underdog against the Memphis, but they came out strong and dominate the home team.

On the Wizards bet, it was a big disapointment because they just can't protect their lead, they're up 20 points and lose by 8 points in the end.
1324  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Currency trading without knowledge on: February 03, 2023, 01:23:02 PM
I would say that "It was not the best decision". We can't just throw money too easily and that much more if that is hard-earned money because we can't just put trading like gambling where we rely on luck otherwise, forget about trading.

Having a basic knowledge of trading is the very least requirement and even using trading bots won't simply work. We have to consider and invest first in knowledge for this is the tool to success or else, losses are only what we get. I don't think that is what we wanted to happen, so we don't need to push ourselves if we are not already ready for this.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 03, 2023, 11:09:44 AM
I don't like the idea of him picking the same race like having a fight against another Filipino who's also aiming for the belt. But who knows, this is boxing and the position is vacated so, they can have each others hand on line and pull it.

If that's how it will go, then no choice but to face each other. Besides, it's not really in Donaire's camp to decide who will be his next opponent.

For now, who's gonna be the one that will be put as a mandatory fighter to challenge the WBC Bantamweight is still in question.

Let's follow the progress of that story.

I agree with you, although we don't want to see both Filipino boxers fighting as we only have few boxers who reach at a high level, but this is business, it defends on the organization and everytime a boxer will have a fight, they always sees it as an opportunity to shine, regardless of whom they'll face for that particular fight.

TNT is again ahead in the first half.

TNT 52 - Magnolia 39. Do you still remember what happened against the NLEX? they struggle in the 2nd half, so I like to take chances here, betting on Magnolia ML and +11.5. Let's go, best of luck to me.  Smiley
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The goodness of long-term investing in cryptocurrency on: February 02, 2023, 09:35:13 PM
If you could invest long term with whatever you have, that is going to be pretty much something that you could always have a feeling about and I think it would be something quite difficult to handle.
Long-term holding is really difficult for a person who has no plan to do it. Because it was not just all about saying "I will hold" but also, it really matters how we respond to the market changes, some got influenced by FUDs and sell their coins.
Quote
I am not saying it is going to be easy or anything like that, but at the  very least we are talking about something that would be impossible to get away from if you make money once. Think about it this way, lets say you bought bitcoin at 1k and somehow managed to hold it until it is 20k, would you sell at that point? You made so much already, why not wait some more? It's harder when you first start, but eventually it gets easier and easier, and I think will be done.
It was pretty easy if we have multiple sources of income as it certainly doesn't have any reason to touch our crypto investment and sell them not in perfect time. But based on your cited example, I have to sell my Bitcoin as well. Waiting for more is somewhat called it greediness because having a $19k increase is already huge money and profit that we can't just ignore.
1328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still holding your coins #btc on: February 02, 2023, 02:18:34 PM
I hope I could but sometimes we need to do so for a very important reason. But I'd never feel any regrets about doing it because at least I earn some since I bought them at $18,200 and then sell at $20,500. Well, that is not bad at all but again, if I already have another option, I would really love to hold it until the next Bullrun, yet the time hasn't given me some favor.
So, anyone who is not selling their Bitcoin, congratulations because you are making far from being tempted by the few pumps. There is a huge reward that awaits you years from now.
1329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 02, 2023, 10:47:35 AM
I won my first game bet, I got a live bet Phoenix ML when they are down, the odds is 2.00 and I'm happy for it. Now, going to the 2nd game, I think I'm now tempted with the odds of ROS, they are still winless, so I'm expecting that they will play harder to beat the undefeated converge team.
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 02, 2023, 09:10:49 AM
Memphis Grizzlies had to earn their last win against the Pacers and I agree that they must be feeling very confident at home, but then I really don't know if the Blazers can be underestimated with how they've also been playing lately, it sure would be one hell of game to watch, but I really just can't pick a side between both teams, I might check out for value in either the Overs or Unders and ride with what feels better between either option, I'm very much likely to just go with the Under 237.5 currently @ 1.80

Either way, it's still not that sure who will dominate the game because just like what you stated, the Blazers is not an easy team to defeat as they've been giving quite a good performance lately while the Grizz just came back from a long lose streak and both of them just had their first win after a loss. Still, I think it's much safer to go with the Grizz.

And I'll be adding the Warriors as well, they seem on a nice win streak for now and I don't think that the Wolves will be the ones who will stop that streak.

I guess I couldn't have been more right about the Grizzlies vs Blazers, that the Blazers couldn't be underestimated and they proved just that, Memphis Grizzlies controlled and led for majority of the game, so I was kinda curious to see how it will all play out with my Under bet, the Grizzlies just couldn't stay locked in the 4th Quarter and lost control of the game down the stretch, so they ended up losing the game with exact opposite mentality which they showed against Indiana Pacers which got them that win.
It still went under despite the high volume of 3 point shooting. Lillard gone crazy in this game, he was shooting very well in the 3 point line, I must say that they are lucky that's why they won the game, but if it's a series game, I believe Memphis will win that series.

As for the Warriors, I don't even have any word to the say about them, other than their game play looked way better than that of a team barely above the 0.500 PCT mark 🙄

Warriors gave up their good lead and lose in the OT, I did not finish watching the game but when I left, they were like leading a double digit already and seemed in control of the game.
1331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what do you expect from cryptocurrency? on: February 01, 2023, 01:54:29 PM
When cryptocurrency was just down for more than a year, it was assumed that the dream day is coming again. In the meantime, the situation of the market has moved from Red to Green. As the inflation decreases, the crypto market will return to that previous state. Now just waiting for that day. Although many of us thought that we would see a big bullish in the next year but crypto might not wait until that time. This year it can be fixed at a better stage and next year we will see the appearance of Crypto Bullish.
The bear season is not over yet and I was still seeing that this year the market remains bearish.
We can't say that because if we see the price of Bitcoin surpass $20,000 we are going to be bullish. If we can take a look at the previous two bull seasons, it started after halving and it was been predicted to come the next year 2024. This it means that this year 2023 has no hopes for it.

We are glad to see the market is up a little bit, maybe that is for now. But if we think about Bullrun this year, it is too far from happening.
1332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Every thing are Controlled by Time, Even the Bitcoin Price . on: February 01, 2023, 01:16:17 PM
Every thing are Controlled by Time, Even the Bitcoin Price .

The Bitcoin Time Machine will determine the price of Bitcoin in the future.  Currently few Bitcoin whales are controlling and manipulating Bitcoin price.  I think, all the Bitcoin exchange should be regulated to only make the sale for other Bitcoin owner without them to transfer Bitcoin in the exchange.  P2P transaction is the best way to buy or sale Bitcoin without going through a third party like those Bitcoin exchange.  Every individual must be able to buy and sale bitcoin from the person and to the person.

What do you think ?
What I think is that whales are not controlling Bitcoin, they can't change the nature of the project and it will remain decentralized no matter what. Whales are here to enjoy the market, that is true but being the owner of the entire crypto market. I admit that manipulations occur in the market but if we talk about the control of Bitcoin price, I certainly doubted it.

We have to be aware of the market volatility and the price of Bitcoin will pump or dump normally, not because it was being planned to what will happen next otherwise, Mr. Satoshi had failed.
1333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 01, 2023, 10:18:52 AM
TNT and NLEX are now playing, I had TNT -3 in this game, it's the battle of undefeated teams but I believe TNT is the better team, so let's see if this bet will win.  Smiley TNT is now controlling the game as they have better executions compared to NLEX, also it's a high scoring game, so over will likely hit easily.
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 01, 2023, 09:25:43 AM
I think the game plan is to really test Spence chin here, Thurman has power, not sure if he still possesses that kind of power that he is known to be. No need to compare his fight to Manny though, he has learn his lessons on that fight, he already admit that he make a lot of mistakes there.

Style make fights, Ugas fall on the Spence trap, although he had times that he hit Spence and he made his knees buckle several times.

That's why I say that Thurman should go all or nothing in this fight and maybe he can pull an upset.

That's what I want to see, but you know, Spence is a durable fighter, he even goes toe to toe against Porter, and seems like nothing happened to him. Well, maybe Thurman is better and has good power as he also beat Porter. I'm expecting to see a toe to toe fight as these fighters are both aggressive, so we might likely see a KO here.
1335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: January 31, 2023, 09:37:39 PM
Can shiba inu ever get to $1 in the next bull run or more years to come??,  though nothing is impossible, but i don't think it can get there,
And is the project still good to invest in?
In order for this project to increase its price, they have to cut its total supply as other projects did. But if they do nothing, we can never expect to reach it at $1, even $0.1 is still impossible.

I won't say it was not a good project to invest but remember it was a meme coin - you already know the consequences it brings you back if you invest in them. I'd rather invest in Solana as I could feel confident with this project than risking to Shiba Inu. I can't afford to put something in which I have no trust and the question OP if you have?
1336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: beginner in Crypto on: January 31, 2023, 09:02:00 PM
As a beginner in Crypto with a limited budget would you recommend purchasing the lower priced NFT's?
I think you need to do some searches about the crypto market, particularly with NFT because I will tell you that buying them is a big mistake. Investing in crypto is not only about the price (low) but what we are about to consider is the potentiality of the project. Nothing has been said that we have to purchase in huge amounts, in fact, we can do the DCA strategy if we have a limited budget.

Well, I might not change your view toward NFT projects but you should be careful with them. The majority of them are scams which is why your chances to pick the best one are very slim.
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 31, 2023, 11:08:20 AM
Do you guys think that Orlando Magic can make playoffs this Season? Or least play in tournament? They played well in their last game with the 76ers!
They are not that far from the 8th rank of the Eastern conference which is the Atlanta Hawks. 5 games back, it is still reachable and we have lots of games remaining before the season ends. This is the reason why they are playing harder every game. I think they can reach the play-in tournament if they can keep this kind of energy especially defeating teams like 76ers or other strong teams.
After this one, it will 76ers again at the same arena, I doubt they will give it to them again, Embiid will make sure they will win this time.
But after that it may be an easy road, Timberwolves and Hornets. They better steal those games from them and then back at home with more energy against the Knicks.
Magic is a big surprise this season, they may not be consistent in winning but what's important is they are winning and beating good teams like the 76ers. Thing is, we only think they are a weak team because they are undervalued by the bookies making them heavy underdog in the betting odds.
1338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 31, 2023, 10:19:54 AM
I don't want to be pessimistic but Converge is just in the usual trend, winning in the early games of the elimination then get suddenly kicked out of the playoffs by SMC or MVP teams but still i'm hoping that it will not be the way this time around and it is good for us bettors since games in the PBA will be unpredictable and underdog teams can win anytime.
Last season, I was surprised that MVP teams didn't even clinched into the playoffs. That's the first time it happened in the whole history of MVP teams.

That maybe a sign that something is changing. That might be a sign that some independent teams might be capable of competing against these 2 giant franchises like what Converge is doing right now. I'm not that optimistic at all since we've seen numerous seasons already that it has always been SMC and MVP competing in the playoffs, but just maybe. Maybe we see a bit of changes in the league this conference. We don't know, but I'm hoping that they'll break the trend this season.
They struggle with choosing an import, and I think some of the players are injured so they are not in full force. Hopefully this team they will be healthy, and as we can see on their import, it looks like he is a great import that could really help the team and able to play with chemistry to the locals.

Any news on Berto Bolick guys? Have read that his stint in Taiwan will materialized as NorthPort and him can't agree in a contract.
I saw on a Facebook post that Bollick might have a short stint on Taiwan as his contract in NorthPort expiring soon. Snow Badua predicted that he might be Japan-bounded, but it seems like Taiwan is the next destination for him. If he will go there, he will see the 2 big centers Howard and Sim Bhullar there. Cheesy

Good choice for him rather than signing with the SMB, he will get a good salary better than the others but it's still very low compared to the contract he'll have playing overseas.
1339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a good idea to just register on casino on: January 28, 2023, 02:49:54 PM
There is this thing about shopping and airlines that when you check and forget, they send you bonus or discount for your possible shopping/trip. Same holds true for casinos, if you just register and leave they will send you some bonus to get you started playing.

  -  What do you mean by the register and then leave?
Didn't you register because you want to experience being able to play and take advantage of the other bonuses?

I'm sorry I can't get your point here mate, Do you mean that if you don't want to play you will give me a bonus equal to gambling just so I don't have to leave, is that what you mean?

If you are familiar on his example about shopping and airline. These companies always send voucher whenever you have unfinished transaction on your account so that you will be tempted to continue the purchase with the use of voucher. He is thinking that this might be applicable on gambling since some casino send special promotion on newly registered accounts. Although I find this absurd since most of the casino promotion even for special case like new registered has a very hard requirements to complete. So collecting is just a waste of time because you will still need to gamble just to get the bonus money.

I think simply he is just trying his luck on registering to multiple casino and see who will give a promo offer that will gave him a good benefits.
The site has an attractive offer for gamblers and so OP gets some idea of taking advantage of it but not literally because he wanted to gamble with them. Anyone who has that kind of mindset could easily get tempted but can't blame them as well, in fact, it was a good offer and we are not forced to gamble or deposit first before getting those vouchers and freebies.
This is an example how some gambling site get abuse because of their promos and bonuses - I guess that is something they need to change.
1340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: January 28, 2023, 02:25:03 PM
even though it has a high risk, altcoins are still very attractive because they also offer quite high potential. Even some altcoins can increase by hundreds of percent within a month. as an example is Aptos. and maybe that's one of the reasons everyone is into altcoins. but for the long term I am not interested in altcoins. But to get profit in the short term, I chose altcoins. someone told me that we get in before the hype is about to happen and we get out when the hype reaches its peak.
Because even we think that the majority of the altcoins are worthless and of no use in the market but some of them have been found to become potentially profitable and sometimes it was even more profitable than Bitcoin.
x1000, x10,000 - this all can possibly happen in altcoin if you are too lucky but we also have to keep in mind that investing in altcoins is too risky. Many people had also lost a huge amount of money for the wrong investment. This is a reason why we should always be careful and make sure that we are choosing the best altcoin/s.
