1101  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: September 24, 2017, 11:27:29 AM
I usually sell when I gain 5-20% of the profits from the altcoin business. I think if I did not sell at the time then surely the altcoin would drop because the whale and the investor would sell very quickly.

I am even ok with 3% gain because it gives me confidence and a sense of assurance everytime my tradingview gets notifications that I have just earned 3%. With .5 btc, in each trade, getting 3% gain is god enough but when your bankroll is small, you really can't appreceiate much your earnings..
1102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you like slot games ? on: September 24, 2017, 11:05:48 AM
I don't really gamble slots online actually no live also. I like blackjack funniest game to gamble in the world.
its hard playing with luck and that's how slot works unlike some other gambling games which you can use some mathematical or
some analytic idea though its still not guarantee that it will work and still a game of chances,.
No doubt that gambling is pure luck. Sometimes our strategies for some specific games produce results according to our expectations and sometimes we are destined to face the defeat. Slot is a game which is free of any strategy and only luck can help you in winning.
I have a little different opinion because of my experience. Gambling is not pure luck. Basically it depends on the game which a gambler is playing. If someone is into dice, slot or roulette then it is all and all about luck whereas a person who is a poker player or place sports bet, he can name victory by using his skills.

Precisely.. dice, slots, and related games are based on pure luck while poker games and sports betting involves a level of skills in order to get more chances of winning your bet. Although there is no guarantee that you will always gonna win, at least the more skillful you are the more chances that you are gonna win.
1103  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: September 24, 2017, 10:47:03 AM
I do not trading everyday.  I only can get profit about two day per week so it is unpredictable. I wish I have huge capital so the I will get significant profit although only twice a week.

Actually that is good enough - 2 days of closing trades on profit a week. That is already a good percentage of having some winning trades - when you have a good number of bankroll, you will see significant gains even with small price change in the market.
1104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: September 23, 2017, 04:07:05 AM
Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.
Bitcoin was ones favorite currency in the dark web. But in the present Bitcoin already go out of the dark. 99% of transactions are already legitimate transactions. Dark web already have a new favorite cryptocurrency called Monero  because of its anonymity and security. Using bitcoin on illegal activities are already old recycled news.

both cryptos can actually be used in either dark or in legitimate transactions.. It really depends on the holder of the bitcoin and that is the beauty of it because there is kind of freedom to do it without being trace versus fiat money.
1105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: September 23, 2017, 04:05:13 AM
Earn without investment of course takes a long time, now bitcoin price feels expensive, maybe many people waiting for the best price to buy bitcoin, I think it is the wrong way, immediately buy bitcoin then we immediately get profit.

If you have the capital or big amount of money, you can start buying bitcoin.. I guess now is quite the right time to buy one or wait for a month or two until the drama with damon and china closing bitcoin exchange is finally stable.
1106  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift? on: September 23, 2017, 04:02:53 AM
It is a good idea, but I think it is not for all. It may be highly appreciated if you give it to thech enthusiiast or to someone who trade. It is considerable like a gift card. Just make sure it will be used in a right way for it to be appreciated more.

I don't think so that it needs something that fits.. This is just my personal opinion because newly wed couples nowadays are majority are into internet already and using bitcoin and researching about it is just a tip of a finger and they can truly appreciate if they see the of it..
1107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: September 22, 2017, 12:08:44 PM
There are many way to earn bitcoins without investment. You can now start earning Bitcoin by completing tasks for members of the forum. You can join campaigns and complete task on services. You can join signature campaign and earn big big amount.

with the signature campaign, you are still investing something - and that is your time. For reminders, time is really valuable than money because the former is a limited or scarce resource. You can not get back a lost time but if you lost money, you can earn even more in some other time. What I am saying is that there is really no way of getting bitcoin without investment.
1108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: September 21, 2017, 11:30:57 AM
If I will gamble usually what I really want is to gain profit while enjoying the game, unlike other rich people who really enjoy gambling despite them loosing a lot I would rather think about my financial capability first. We know that gambling can also lead to some people to get addicted to it but for me I always maintain a clear mind to immediately stop before I hit my limit. I don’t want to be like those people who gamble until dry even their assets are also used as a collateral. I will gamble if I can see profit specially if I know I have a higher chance to win.
nice thinking mate, if you got some edge and you feel that you can win then its nice to play gambling it will twice the enjoyment, enjoying while
earnings from your activities is most of us love to feel when playing, better to put it that way and never to get attached too much.

and if it is no longer fun anymore, you need to better stop that gambling session at once before you get even more disappointed. gambling is really relieving to some and that is their way of having fun and entertainment but not really for profit - they have other ways to earn with gambling that is just for fun and to kill some time Smiley
1109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you like slot games ? on: September 21, 2017, 11:20:35 AM
do you like slot games ?
I have a thought that i haven't won in slot games everywhere. It's even hard to hit a small prize and it seems impossible to hit the maxi jackpot. Probably i don't have luck with this one2

Not only you but many people are not lucky in gambling. If all gamblers can be lucky then all casinos need to close by now. These games are for just to give us enjoyment so always try your luck with a small amount and don't over spend just to win the jackpot. If you target only jackpot then you may lose all your money before hitting the jackpot.

that is true. there are few lucky ones out there but the house edge advantage is always at play - hence, some gamblers will win lucky and most are losing because the house edge advantage is applying to all bets. If you are lucky and win, cash it out already and don't bet more because you might lose it all Wink
the basic concept on how the slots machine prize built are like this : 100k players spent average $12 each. 1.2 million dollar in total , the house edge take 20% from it which means $240k and give the rest to 1 or several lucky players and repeat. that's what makes people get interested, the prize are so high , there's no harm really to give it a try with a couple bucks, as long as you didn't get overaddicted with this.

That is a good number there - but hey, that is really high house edge advantage of 20%. That is really reinforced us to just play for fun and entertainment because sooner or later, you will really be eaten by the house edge advantage - unless you are lucky enough.
1110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading vs Gambling on: September 21, 2017, 11:16:49 AM
If you're a lazy man , you will definitely choose gambling. Why? All things you have to do is just checking some teams, head to head history, who got injury bla bla then use all the logic to guessing and if you're lucky ? Easy double money. But with trading, your choose is very important and it's a long term decision.

Wow, make sense.. With the sports betting, I really have no problem with it because it involves some level of skills and not just based on pure luck. That being said, I will for sports betting. But from time to time, I play dice games just to kill some time and have some fun time..

Trading is more of a serious business and you need to check many factors and establish patience as your main virtue.
1111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: September 21, 2017, 10:59:54 AM
I haven't read through all the pages on this thread (obviously) but if Martingale is being recommended by some people, please do not follow it. It is one of the most dangerous techniques for so many reasons and people have done fortunes when trying to use it (particularly on roulette).
Martingale is even more risky than gambling itself. I think if someone wants to adapt this technique, first of all he must divide the amount he used to gamble with. For instance, if someone bets with 30 dollars, he must go for $2, then $4 then $8 and so on hence increasing the number of bets but not the total betting amount while playing the same game. This way, his chance of winning increases without any great loss.

Martingale is not a 100 % reliable although it helps with increasing your chances to win and giving you enough sessions. However, I would suggest that when you have some winnings already, better stop and cashout before you get eaten by the house edge advantage..
1112  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift? on: September 21, 2017, 10:54:06 AM
If they understand and use bitcoin, i may consider giving them bitcoin as a gift, but if not, i will gift them something else. It feels wrong to give something so volatile as a gift to people who don't know about it.

I think it would be cool once they will start asking about it and they will realize what just they received as gift from you Smiley It will be as equal or even great with any personalized gift. Who knows, the newlywed couple will be wealthy soon because of bitcoin and because of you.
1113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: September 21, 2017, 10:49:16 AM
There are so many ways on how you can earn Bitcoins. You might need to invest your real money without having to think you are going to loose because it will definitely appreciate.  more so, you will definitely have to invest your TIME and patience. There are those who do bitcoin mining. Some relies on advertisements viewing and captchas but it is time consuming and the earning is super low. As far as I know, signature campaigns offer a lot of profit than any of these mentioned, except you are ready to invest alot of money. Once you're earning from the campaign I suggest that you put a little portion of it in investing. But be wise enough to know when to put in your money and when to withdraw especially now that the value of btc is a little unpredictable. Good luck!

Just like in regular and ordinary fiat money - you can either get bitcoin with investing money or time and effort and most of the time, both. In other words, there is really no easy way to get bitcoin and you need to work for it or invest money to it and earn gains..
1114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: September 21, 2017, 10:45:35 AM
How does one Put down Gambling for good?

Just need to find another fascinating occupation because of which there simply will not be time and desire to play gambling again. I went into the analysis in the trade and I lost time for the game.

It takes more than that. If it is just so easy, there wont be a need to setup counselling center for gambling addicts. There wont be so much social resources to help these people. Family support, social supports, friends support are very important and it cannot be done without any of those for those serious addiction.
gambling does have a very difficult thing to eliminate when we have been addicted. maybe only a few percent of people who can leave bitcoin well and easily. the rest are those who will continue to play gambling until they lose the money they have. when conscious then they will think that gambling is not a way to earn income, gambling is basically a pleasure that can not be separated from our nature respond to gambling as an entertainment.

I agree, since our mind are already tied to gambling and the brain always urge us to gamble when we are addicted.  This is what we called gambling taking over our lives, trying to recover the control would not be easy but as long as we are deterimined and dedicated to end the rule of gambling in our lives we can do it.  Besides, once we decide to quit and serious about it, i think we can escape from the grasp of gambling obsession/addiction.
That is so true. It sounds easy to give up on a habit but the reality is exact opposite. It is like; most of us cannot live without using cell phone for a day. We will keep on thinking about texting and internet whole day.

Gambler's state of mind is none different from us. It is just we are addict to different activities but the behavior remains same.

that is right - everything started with little game session, trying to gamble a little, and then when it becomes regular already, you are forming the habit of gambling and it is not that easy already to get rid of a habit because you are getting used to it already how much more gambling addiction.
1115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: September 21, 2017, 09:54:07 AM
Everyone wanted higher bitcoin price and we achieved this but another problem become transaction fees. When bitcoin's price was low, we had to pay also low fee and now when it rised, we have to pay high fee in bitcoins and plus that high fee is more higher with current price. Is this fair? The higher the price, the more money miners have with bitcoin exchange.
To my mind when price becomes high, we have to pay low fee and when it becomes low, than fee has to be high. To my mind it had to be done like this from the begining.
I'd say fair is a good term for the bitcoin fee, when compared to things like bank transfers and other transfers, it is considerably low. I think it is a fair price especially when comparing to other means of moving money large or small, the speed is typically much faster, 90% of the time it is cheaper to transfer using Bitcoin. All around it is just better.

Although I do hope that eventually with time and more transactions that the fee will not rise any more or require more bytes fee per BTC sent. I think it is fair but could become worse into something un-fair.

Aside from the very fast transaction, it is also in anonymity - this is what makes it very valuable and I would pay bigger transaction for that as much as I can. Here is the thing, with typical fiat money transaction online, you need to first undergo some identification and all that and it takes some time complying them all before you can start transacting in an instant
1116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: September 20, 2017, 06:15:56 PM
Nothing is wrong or right in this life. Right and wrong are just a perspective, but if you put it that way, it will be called "Misbehavior". To clarify, you did not know how to behave in order to get a good result. Gambling is tricky, once you enter its field, you became paralyzed. It is like fighting monsters in a huge jungle. If you know how to behave and be smart, gambling will be beneficial for you. You will earn much money. So, it is up to you to decide whether or not it is beneficial.

Yes, gambling can be useful if you use it wisely. If you flirt with them lightly, then they will just ruin you with every game. They really look like the world of the jungle and you need to have a good preparation for playing with them.
Gambling offers a lot of lessons, if somebody is ready to take them! The best thing about gambling is one discovers his true self, he comes to know what type of person he hits, whether he chooses shortcuts or is a determined guy who has no hunger for money. However, it is a dangerous game and one must put limits to himself.

Totally makes sense.. Because I really know myself well that I am not really that have a high-risk appetite. I am ok with winning little versus winning big with big bankroll at risk. I also realized that there is really possible ways that a person can earn very big as long as he/she is that lucky.
1117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable on: September 19, 2017, 09:57:02 AM
A day will come where everybody will own Bitcoin (or at least 90% of society). After you get everybody onboard it will be difficult to manipulate the price like that. Bitcoin will become more stable and people will be less scared of it.

With the current price swing of bitcoins going at least below $1000 in just a matter of hours due to China pronouncement to close exchange rates to some big financial institutions that handle big investment with fiat money saying that bitcoin is a big bubble comparing to tulip investment, it can only be less  affected by these manipulations and inside trading through regulations (government regulations to be exact) but this is really not the main goal of bitcoin in the first place. Hence, it will be each investor call whether or not to hold or sell their bitcoins..
1118  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: September 15, 2017, 08:12:40 AM
Hello All,

What you think is the best investment to gain steady income in btc without actively doing anything?
So no trading/gambling/loaning etc.

Steady income more likely to be 'small & secure' than 'big & risky'.

Thanks,
BR Oinas
For me there are no steady income maybe you have to invest in many businesses so as if you are not successful to one then you have another one you own too.
There are many ways of steady income and I think if you invest with great care, you can be millionaire without making hard efforts. Trading is a great effort by many who want to change their financial conditions and chase their dreams. Trading is my best choice forever than investing.

yes, if you are skilled enough when in terms of trading, you will advance in life financially. There are also other factors like the amount of bankroll or capital you have in place. The more bankroll you have, the more potential earnings you could have in the process.. Although there will be some losing trades and winnings - not all winning all the time no matter what level of trading skills you could have.
1119  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: September 14, 2017, 11:16:23 AM
If I have invested money in altcoins then I never hold them too long and sell whenever its giving me at least some profits as it can be bought again when price dumps and bitcoin is an long term investment for me so I will not sell till it achieves my desired price and till that time I will keep them safe in my wallet.

This is the correct way of trading altcoins in the cryptocurrency world - we should set a target amount of gain as our exit or sell even before we made our buy. This way, you will not get much of the emotion side of trading and instead just follow on the pre-planned trading.
1120  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift? on: September 13, 2017, 07:15:12 AM
Sure.

But ... certainly only limited to friends who use bitcoin only.

It doesn't necessarily have to be limited to friends who use bitcoin only, though it may be hard giving bitcoin to someone who has no single idea what you have given them and preferably better when given to someone who will appreciate it much better but you can actually use it to draw someone in on the knowledge of what bitcoin is all about. That makes it a +1.
Bitcoin is definitely going to be on top and I think in coming days it is going to be an option for giving Bitcoins to married people as a gift but people should accept it. The demand for Bitcoin is kept increasing so people who are aware of Bitcoin will surely accept Bitcoin as their Wedding gift.

There are still many people who have no any idea about bitcoin and it is actually a good sign because it means, we are with bitcoin up to its rising further.. And when many people will going to like and love the idea of bitcoins and they will start investing on it, then we are on the right position to gain a lot. I think it is more exciting more newly wed couple who have no idea about bitcoin and they will be given some for a gift.
