And now looks like the S6 was "not offered"... so they kept it all to themselves? Tongue

Not offered = have chips + could make something S6 shaped + lets just wait. The S*even* has to clear rack space of something earlier to be sold in any volume, but there wasn't enough of an improvement to do that.
1122  Economy / Reputation / Re: I am doing an update on my trust list. Please give input. on: September 07, 2015, 09:10:57 PM
Thread moved to reputation, I guess that's right? Maybe meta needs a trust subsection as most of the spammy threads would also fit into there.
1123  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [BitBet] BitFury's ASIC WILL WORK WITH POWER < 1 W / GH/s on: September 07, 2015, 08:25:13 PM
Whenever BitFury gives efficiency numbers (J/GH), they never give the all important GH/mm^2 numbers.

Why would we give such revealing information to our competitors? And I don't really understand why the end user even needs to know about this? He cares for $/GH and J/GH and delivery times. GH/mm^2 is engineering porn. Our figures are NSFW Wink

That's the type of transparency which is good for everyone. This shouldn't become an industry which relies on "this tiny 20g portion of cake is only 100 calories!" style marketing. If you're going to claim a power efficiency (J/GH) it should be:
  • The power efficiency of a marketable machine at the wall (J/GH)
  • Or the real world power efficiency of a chip test at the predicted machine voltage (J/GH)
  • Or a full voltage / power efficiency curve similar to Bitmain (J/GH graph)
  • Or nothing at all

Currently it appears you've got a graph of J/GH and have simply quoted the lowest J/GH at the lowest voltage possible, even though you know you'll never ever run a machine that slow. We understand you have VCs to appease, but that doesn't mean you can't still play the gentlemanly game. Everyone loses when manufacturers revert to unsavoury marketing, such as the latest bitcoin miner I designed which achieves a record breaking 0.000 J/GH! You can preorder it today and get free staples along with your stapler miner! VCs hit me up, you'll want to fund the market leader over here!

Does that explain why others are often skeptical about your claims? Even if they're true, its impossible to know if its 10% or 90% marketing fluff.

If they're permabanned can they even log in? Most of the permabanned accounts I see are never logged into again.
1125  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [BitBet] BitFury's ASIC WILL WORK WITH POWER < 1 W / GH/s on: September 07, 2015, 08:56:03 AM
Bit of a weird thread to bump, but I'll believe it when I see it. The last 3 chips have never been independently verified or even seen outside of a super farm.

Considering they make up nearly 1/3rd of the network alone .... thats evidence enough.

Of power claims? Its only evidence that they have money, and $60M buys you a lot of miners and a lot of PR.
Dogie, shame on you Smiley Bitmain pays you also for PR Smiley
I remember times when Bitmain and Spondoolies were competitors on B2C market and Dogie pushed tons of shit on Spondoolies, Guy Corem answered Dogie.. and there was again and again.. What was it? PR
Regarding "buys a lot of miners" - do you have some inside? Did BitFury bought their miners? Whom? Bitmain?? It would be a sensasion  Grin

I haven't been contracted by Bitmain since May, so no they do not "pay me for PR". I've also generally been a supporter of Bitfury, who had the top spot and a near perfect score in my guide for a long long time. Guy claimed that the rating criteria specifically targeted them when it just didn't as it was applied on BFL first, and they still had 88/100 score. The rating criteria are designed to protect buyers, and their claims that they'd be able to finance the next generation without preorders or investment did indeed turn out to be false.

Back on topic, all I said about Bitfury is that no one has actually ever tested their miners who is able to speak about it, and so its hard to really take their repeated claims seriously. If you think I'm paid for PR, why don't you talk to Bitfury's actual PR company or their Head of Global PR.
1126  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Quickseller escrowing for himself on: September 06, 2015, 05:20:31 PM
Well, if QS only got guts and post a summonable address here or somewhere else - we would indeed file a Civil Lawsuit for Defamation.
Of course you wouldn't, not unless you're willing to shell out $100-$200k for a lawyer over 2 years, and can prove and quantify damages. Do you have $100-$200k to waste?
1127  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'm a legendary member! on: September 06, 2015, 03:13:21 AM
Jeez, I bet my RNG is right at the top of the range then before I can get there they'll raise the requirements again.

(Screw the personal data farmer google).

Better Google than pretty much everyone else. At least Google is using it for advertising and trying to keep it out of the hands of the NSA. Unlike Microsoft who gives them a direct feed lmao.
1129  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Quickseller escrowing for himself on: September 05, 2015, 04:54:10 AM
If this type of analysis does become a useful tool on the forum I can see lots of applications, for example in detecting account sales.

It would probably break on sold accounts as there would be so much old counter information muddying the new poster's style. Unless you manually cut it off at the proposed sale date and analysed the two sets separately.

I've found 2 other ways. Popup email notifier for Gmail on chrome, or auto-refresh a tab on Firefox to prompt the PM popup.

1133  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S6 - Not For Sale? on: September 02, 2015, 10:56:30 PM
I believe the S5+ was basically your S6

The S4+ was "basically your S6". The S5+ was basically your 3xS5+ on steroids.
1134  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 02, 2015, 07:21:21 PM
stop fighting like children!
We want s7 competitor from Spondoolies already !

Perhaps you need.
I do not need an increase in network Hashrate.

For me is SPONDOO - LIES TECH dead. R.I.P.

What's laughable is all of the comments on them becoming KNC like with a one sided post from someone regularly bashed on the forms for having shit integrity. I am very interested in what Spondoolies has to say and am keeping an open mind given the circumstances..

The account has been online every day since they were posted.
1135  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [Closed] Dogie's BITMAIN AntMiner S7 "Guess the Price" [Prize] on: September 02, 2015, 02:22:28 PM
No problem, thanks all for participating. I'll lock this now, PM me if anyone needs anything.
1136  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5+ is available to order, 7.722TH/S 0.445J/GH on: September 02, 2015, 02:21:40 PM
I'm still interested in parting ways with an S5+ if anyone wanted one.  Preferably in the US for shipping reasons.
I'd consider it to do a review I guess. I don't like missing models out, PM me.
1137  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] B's A More Ethical & Trustworthy Miner Sellers Trustworthiness Guide on: September 02, 2015, 02:19:17 PM
Why does it not surprise me that BAN (BitcoinAffiliateNetwork) are involved in this?

I opened a scam accusation against them ages ago about their phony "giveaway" of miners to fake user accounts many months ago:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=782765.0

After a barrage of insults from s0br/ThePhwner & their multiple aliases, s0br locked the BAN pool thread after deleting evidence & went AWOL from the scam thread & this forum for about 2 months - before popping up again with another BAN pool thread with claims of transparency, bonuses, regular payouts etc, etc, - all of which has proven to be false again.

BTW, guess who advertised BAN on his "trustworthiness guide" thread knowing that they were confirmed scammers?  Yup, our good friend poop-dawg........ Roll Eyes

Good thing your many accounts were deleted after proven to be controlled by a single mouthy twat with no evidence:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1064824.0

Pretty sure that's the ultimate in scam accusation threads. And your sorry ass can't even log in to reply any more until you make a 15th account.

Lets be honest here, you were both using shill armies to fight each other, one to promote to BAN, one to damage BAN. The only difference was that he ended up doing other things to get himself permabanned.

This user's password was reset recently.

The particular individual in question was caught red handed hiding affiliate URL's in his 'independent' reviews, and when caught, scoffed, that the expert who caught him, was no one since they had one post to their name. Effectively denying it to those in the clueless ness.

An account which hasn't posted in nearly a year, and has only ever posted in Spondoolies' thread, interesting...
1139  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 31, 2015, 11:09:12 PM
I don't know the other side of the story. I am judging by what is posted here and for the moment it seems that only dogie is complaining. Do you know the other side? You don't, but it seems that you made your judgement already without hearing the other side story.

I'm judging by what is posted here too, the fact that only dogie is complaining about not receiving his commision tends to suggest that he's the only one this has happened too.  Therefore its not a huge leap to assume that this may be personal based on the previous relationship.  Note that I said assume, I haven't made my mind up and Guy is welcome to join in and post the other side of the story.

There are others, but as their largest affiliate by quite a way I'm more likely to make noise than someone owed $100 who's forgotten about it. They also pulled the terms changing twice on me and less likely anyone else as I joined from day 0.

The example that you provided isn't really an example, because that guy has voluntarily signed up for the hardware option, NOT CASH. So it doesn't qualify as an example and it has nothing to do with your situation.

So please eat more shit and then come back here to tell us how good was it!

Hedgy (hi fella hope you are good !!) is slightly different as he chose the hardware credit initially and wanted to change to cash, I can sort of understand SP's position on that, but it gets murky when they have no stock left to use it on then they really should have settled up in BTC.

Just another example of dogie's crappy character.

Its an example of someone who has a balance with Spondoolies that they refuse to / are unable to pay. You're attitude is doing a good job proving everything else that was said about you though.
1140  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: August 31, 2015, 07:40:02 PM
I quickly reached $500,000 worth of sales, however well before I reached that point, Gadi got in touch and said that unfortunately that was not sustainable for themselves and it would be a straight 5%. I was slightly disappointed, as anyone would be, but he'd got in touch before I reached the 10% and was completely honest about the situation.

The difference in my case is that they decided after the sale had been made, and once Guy had had a chance to speak to Gadi. Do you have a timestamp on when you were told it was no longer tiered?
