1721  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can someone create something like etrade on: July 01, 2015, 02:02:02 AM
I was wondering if someone could invent something like etrade  to buy stocks like etrade and stuff but i figured there has to be a machine that make a lot of bitcoins right??

Take a look at 1broker.com

I think they may offer CFDs ... not direct access to stocks, but you get the stock exposure. Not sure if a better option exists at the moment.
1722  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Coinut.com - The only Bitcoin Options Exchange on: July 01, 2015, 01:46:59 AM

I'm quite sure that they have third party market makers.

A few weeks ago the market maker's bot for the daily contract had some serious malfunctions and I was able to ramp up 1 BTC to 22 BTC at expiry. It was quite a grave concern for them. I could have withdrawn, but wangxinxi acted as an intermediary and asked if I could give the marketmaker another chance. 22 BTC was quite a lot for that marketmaker and coinut doesn't have that much volume at the time. So he said the marketmaker was offering a bounty. I made a counter offer and asked for a bit more. And well the market maker agreed.

Well, it seems like he decided to leave now. Coinut has different market makers on the 30 minute and the vanilla options. Actually I believed the weekly, and biweeklies was using a different market maker also. They offer incentives to the market makers for providing liquidity but if the market makers don't feel like it they can stop market making. Now Coinut is going to need to find some new market makers.

Maybe, I should have been betting less and work on bringing in new users first. Now it's going to be hard with a market maker MIA.

Or it could be that the market maker had some sort of trigger that shut down their system. Maybe the markets are just too volatile right now for them to make markets currently.

It seems quite problematic to simply apply black-scholes to bitcoin, given the wild swings in volatility. Bitcoin was built for volatility. You might say it was built to break black-scholes. Market maker has to be either very seasoned, or very deep pockets to make this work. Coinut is NEITHER seasoned NOR deep pockets. They are PHd students getting carried away with their thesis ... lol. I'm hoping this works ... but I'm not overwhelmed by the odds.

Btw, nice score Chris. Apparently you were paying closer attention than me ... Do you mean to say you gave some of your profits back to the market maker?!?
1723  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Coinut.com - The only Bitcoin Options Exchange on: June 30, 2015, 07:32:16 PM
Did we scare off the market maker?

This is my concern:

In the interview it was mentioned that Coinut was capitalized out of the founder's pockets in the amount US$100k. If in fact they are the primary market maker, and their 'modified Black-Scholes model' doesn't work well with Bitcoin in the short-medium term, I could see Coinut burning cash quickly ... and then all bets are off.

Just understand that when you deposit and trade here, there are many more risks involved than simply where the bitcoin price is headed. As Chris mentioned there are currently no quotes for the binary options except for the nearest 30-min and 1-hr contracts ...
1724  Economy / Gambling / Re: TurnTrips.poker **** Official Thread **** on: June 30, 2015, 07:18:09 PM
A quick update...

Well June is coming to an end and with it the Grand Opening we had.  Were we a little disappointed at "Grand Opening" activity?  Sure we were.  But we get it.  Rome wasn't built in a day.  We've said all along our intent was to build trust and that comes with time.  While activity was light, we did process dozens of withdrawals and there isn't any better way to build trust that speedy withdrawals.  But I must say that if you're a poker player, you missed out on the awesome rake back deal we had going on. Welcome bonus plus the Race for Rakeback equaled 90% rake back for some players.

But we move forward.

Site changes.

We now have 10 chip, 25 chip and 100 chip freerolls.  But they are for players only.  Each require more play to qualify.  But it isn't hard.  the 10 chip freerolls can probably be achieved in 20-30 minutes playing 20NL, The 25 chip freeroll was easily achieved in 1 session of 20NL by several players.  In any case, All of these freerolls will start with only 2 players, so in this case the early bird(s) really will catch the worm.
More information on the freerolls and how to qualify are in the POP-UP site news when you log in.

What happened to the unrestricted 5 chip freeroll?
It's gone.  It served no other purpose than to be a BTC faucet for a handful of players.  we're told all the time that we need freerolls so people can try out the site, but it really never works out that way.  Heck we even had people playing our freeroll, always immediately withdrawing (which is of course fine), but then bad mouthing us in the chat!  I mean really?

The unrestricted freerolls served zero marketing effect and none of the participants used that experience to "test" us out, and then played and significant real games.  We would much rather give these chips to loyal players.

TurnTrips is for Poker Players
We are starting to pick up some activity, mostly at the 10nl and 20nl and in the US mornings.  It is nice to have 4 or 5 players.  But we want more.  If your a real poker player and you want to be rewarded for your loyalty, I ask you to give us a shot.  The Freerolls are only the beginning.  We will always find ways to reward loyalty, and we have more ways coming soon.

We also have our 100% Welcome bonus, which is a bonus that your earn as you play up to 2 BTC.  This bonus never expires, and will be added to your account with every deposit up to 2 BTC, regardless of how long it takes.  It's a great way to try us out with a small deposit, but still maximize the bonus down the road when we earn your trust.

Hope to see you at the tables!

Wow, a poker site run by real players. It is hard to do much better guys. As much as I enjoy churning freerolls when they are floated, you spoke truth here. They are not really used to 'try out the site.' Real players have no problem depositing a token amount and playing a bit, even micro-limit, to check it out. Across all the sites there is a contingent of faucet collectors whining for more freerolls. Honestly, the sites that run big freerolls all day ... are making fools of themselves. Anyway, I've deposited, and cashed out from Turntrips once so far. Doesn't mean I'm gone. When my time frees up, and interest peaks, my chips will be back on the table ... That is the beauty of btc: it can be transferred almost immediately, almost for free.

That said, I'll tell you: Heads up and short-handed games are generally not my comfort zone, though I'm warming up to them. That is why I don't sit long. There is a sort of momentum to building a player base as I'm sure you understand: players attract players.

Anyway, I liked your post, and I'll continue to check in from time to time ...
1725  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: signalpush.com? Is it legit? on: June 29, 2015, 05:39:25 PM

I agree that news should be way more important on forex and real companies. On bitcoin, it seems, only bad news work.  Roll Eyes

Though in theory i believe technical analysis should work because of two things. Other traders believe in the same indicators, making it a reality because of that. To some extend ...

What you 'believe' is only relevant in terms of what this curiosity is going to cost you.  If you 'believe' in TA 'a lot,' it will likely cost you A LOT. If you don't believe in it too much, perhaps not so much.

Put it another way: There are multi-billion hedge funds with teams of rocket scientists, computer programmers, math geniuses developing and testing 'systems' all the time. You suspect one is overlooked and now for sale on signalscam? Is that a 'fight' you really want to wage?

Good luck with that.
1726  Economy / Gambling / Re: Signalpush.com Binary Options - Legendary Auto Trader - 1801 $ profit on: June 29, 2015, 06:21:03 AM
The Auto Trader has many rules and algos that can predict and avoid market waterfalls.

I do have some subscribers and they are very happy about it, they are making tons of profits each week.
I could ask one or two of them to come and share their experience into this thread.

This is a scam. See some of the earlier posts in this thread outlining how it works.

have you tried it ?no ? how can you "review"  it as a scam then ?

I've seen it before. Many times. Scam.

It's kind of like walking down the sidewalk in Vegas, and seeing a guy running three-card monty. The guy will be running his own little variation, throw in some humor and fancy sleight of hand. In the end it still three-card monty.
1727  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: signalpush.com? Is it legit? on: June 29, 2015, 01:39:49 AM
Signalpush, as I understand, is just a platform to enable systems sellers to efficiently sell their crap. So signalpush itself is 'legit.' It is the system sellers who are scam artists. Signalpush is in the business of enabling scam artists. I wouldn't be surprised if signalpush also has a direct interest in sales of those same systems - a sort of commission structure. So then yes, Signalpush would be a scam ... At the end of the day, does it really matter? Buying a system like this is like burning money. You are better off playing slots at your local casino. At least with slots you get pretty colors, bells and whistles ...
1728  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: signalpush.com? Is it legit? on: June 29, 2015, 01:35:06 AM

I have, though im not as good as i would like to be.  Roll Eyes

I know that bots can be quite good in predicting but the perfect entry points on these images look too good to be true.

What i wanted to know is if signalpush is legit, then could the performance tabs be faked or would that be not possible. And if they cant be faked, maybe its not a real bot running but an experienced forex trader giving the signals. Would be fine until enough copies are sold and the signal vanishes.

Im trying to get into forex now, because i hope the market is less likely to be manipulated and that technical analysis works better than with bitcoin fiat pairs.

The reality is technical 'signals' don't work. Professional forex traders use them as a minor input, but they are largely event trading, with macro analysis, combine with the human (trader) element. Successful trading is not programmable, unless you find some arbitrage opportunity. Anyone who finds an arbitrage opportunity doesn't sell it. They trade in until it ceases to exist.

If you want to trade forex, just trade it. Do a lot of research, run your own charts, and trade. Buying someone elses losing system puts you so far behind, your effort becomes completely worthless.

Does anyone know signalpush.com? Is it a trustworthy service and how trustworthy are the performance stats for signals there?

As far as i understood it they are similar to tradewave and cryptotrader, only users can either offer their bot signals to others or they can buy the signals.

Do you have any trading experience Sebastian?!?

These types of scams have been marketed to stock 'day traders' for aeons. Now the scam artists think they've found a whole new pool of unwitting dupes.

Winning systems are not for sale. Only losing ones are.
1731  Economy / Gambling / Re: [HELP] what's the best wining method of Roulette ? on: June 28, 2015, 09:57:45 PM

So, what's the best wining method of Roulette ?

The best winning method is to never play. Never bet your chips, never spin the wheel. Do this, and in the end you will have done significantly better than average.

Alternately: buy some casino stocks and stand on the 'house' side of the wheel.
1732  Economy / Gambling / Re: [HELP] what's the best wining method of Roulette ? on: June 28, 2015, 09:54:26 PM
First things first:

Define what your objective is. Nobody here has seemed to do that.

Is your objective to to maximize the probability of walking away with a gain?
Is it to blow off 1 hr spinning the wheel, and enjoying the thrill?
Is it to devise a 'strategy' that is likely to win more often than not, over multiple gambling sessions?

Each of these objectives leads to a different 'strategy.'

Nobody can answer your question until you've clearly and honestly stated your objective ... all the prior answers assume some objective, and not everyone is making the same assumption.

R.I.P. fools :p

i told you from start that you are mismanageded and weak,
you tried to contertalk me and said much shit;
now you are deep in shit and dead, rest in peace, motherfuckers!
i dance on your grave, lol! [not that i am happy about what i just said...]

Meanwhile, now that you are banned EVERYWHERE, you have nothing better to do than troll around in places where you are not welcome.

How pathetic.

Bitcoinpoker.gg is a good site ... there is just a lack of players and it is tough getting a foothold. They've done better than many. Every success is built on the lessons of several setbacks ... I know myself and many other players would play here in a heartbeat if we were somehow able to gather a critical mass. This place will survive/come back in some form, I have no doubt.
1734  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Coinut.com - The only Bitcoin Options Exchange on: June 27, 2015, 03:56:34 AM
Please can we download our open positions? Keeping track of them with pencil and paper has gotten old real fast ...

You can currently do this with the API.

You could probably make a nice Excel sheet if you wanted to. I know some people have some sheets set up for Bitmex.

Or you can get a program to do it for you.

Thanks but I'm not a programmer, and I don't care to learn. If Coinut expects/requires every customer to program their own data dump ... they are dead in the water. I think you know this Chris ... just fulfilling your sig campaign quota ... lol. Keep up the good work.

I learned BASIC on a TRS-80, then never picked it up again. Lol ...
1735  Economy / Gambling / Re: winning tricks Calling Outs and ODDS Poker (POKER LOUNGE) on: June 27, 2015, 03:44:51 AM

Eh, you can push whatever notion you want. My consistent cashing in tournaments both in RL and online is proof to myself that what I do works. You can't possibly be getting top 3 over 80% of the time just by using math -- it's improbable that you'd lock in enough good hands (and get enough play) for that to get you to the end. In any case, it's good when some of you base all your decisions on math -- you help me win more, :p.

Math tells you the probability that your hand is going to win at showdown. This is irrelevant if you can push the otherwise winning hands from the pot. If you only play strong hands, you're not going to make it far very often.

+1

If you let any good opponent read you for playing strong hands pre-flop and 'math' thereon, he will crush your soul. (Who doesn't love to isolate these guys.)

Because while you may play your cards perfectly, he won't be playing cards. He'll be playing souls, and he'll be playing yours like an orchestra ...

Just fixed the withdrawal form. Now you will get notified if an invalid Bitcoin address is used.

Lol .. ok thanks.

(I sent a couple withdrawal requests today with address that was missing a digit ... my guess is he's referring to that.)

Here's some insight for your business. Today I withdrew half my balance ... in order to send it to 796 xChange and sell the FTSE China A50 contract they have now. The A50 was down some 8% on the day this afternoon ... but I missed the bulk of it, of course.

Ideally Coinut was a derivatives exchange, and not just an options exchange. Then many of your traders could consolidate trading on your site. Futures+Options are a perfect fit, especially with portfolio margining. I would MUCH prefer NOT to be sending my coins all over the place in search of a good trade - ideally they were all under one roof.

Some indispensable math for you to always remember:

How many times may you call Indamuck's river bet before going broke? (ans: 2.5x)
How long should you ponder Indamuck's raise, on any street, before folding? (ans: < 2 seconds, anything more is a waste of everyone's time)
How often should you reload after spewing your entire stack to Indamuck? (ans: infinity, because the cards will turn, and you need to be in it to win it)

These are the most vital. The other 'maths' are just legend and gambler lore.

Trust me.

Micon pled guilty today, in exchange for no jail time, probation, can file to have his record reflect a gross misdemeanor instead of a felony, $25,000 fine, and he agreed to allow Nevada to keep $900, 3 Bitcoins, and electronics that they confiscated.
http://vegasinc.com/business/2015/jun/25/man-charged-running-bitcoin-poker-site-agrees-guil/

guys I don't understand too much in law
so what now !! Micon agreed that he is guilty !!
is that will make the situation better ?? please if someone understands the situation tell me more

Its not like that Sy.

It is a type of legal extortion in the US. Basically the big Las Vegas Casinos paid politicians to write laws protecting the casinos. And the casinos pay/finance the elections, re-elections, campaigns etc. of judges, sherrifs, politicians, etc. So Micon is basically being f*cked by the big casinos, who are using the so-called legal system to harrass him. It would be very expensive, and likely futile, for Micon to fight the charges, so what he did was 'cut a deal' with the prosecutor. Basically the deal looks like this: Micon agrees to plead 'guilty' for a so-called crime that is relatively minor compared with what the prosecutor is threatening to charge him with. In return, both the state and Micon avoid the very large expense of taking the whole case to trial, and Micon gets a much-reduced sentence. Basically Micon agreed to say 'guilty' in order to stay out of jail, and with his young family, and avoid going broke trying to defend himself. He did what any of us would do in his shoes. Sad but true. US legal system is neither fair nor blind. It is built by the wealthy for the wealthy, to protect what's theirs. Bitcoin is a threat, so bitcoin businesses will be targeted when they can ...
