Guys need some help !

I'm running version 5.0e now.

Only issue now is the last GPU running slow (not being tuned?)

FYI all GPU are same specs AMD

For my 6 GPU RIG

GPU1,2,3,4,5,6, GPU6 will be the slowest of all

For my 4 GPU RIG

GPU4 will be the slowest of all

Make autotune for -gt parameter.

is the ref parmeter outdated. i was testing phoenix but it said invalid parameter. I was trying -ref 50 and -REF 50. not luck. Also, does the mt work on 1070's. I have both amd rigs for the -ref question and 1070 rigs. I know -ref dont work on nvidia Smiley
There is no such parameter in PM.

Looks like scam software... No source... No interface. Program after several minutes tries to send some data to some adress...
No changes in mining eth speed.

RX 580 8Gb - 25MH/s - it's speed of stock card without overclocking and timing changes. So, program do nothing to eth speed?
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.0e: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: July 24, 2020, 09:27:26 AM
I tried to switch from Clymore to Pheonix miner today, but didn't notice any difference. My rig consists of 3 4gb video cards. The first one produces only 5-6 megahashes, the rest are standard 26-27 megahashes. How to fix the first video card?
If to 1st 4Gb card monitor connected, no chance to recieve normal speed from it. Windows use some videomemory to show picture on monitor and it's not enough vmem to DAG 350+.
It's need to use integrated videocard or 1st card must be 6 or 8Gb to work normal.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.0e: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: July 23, 2020, 01:07:25 PM
What your system and drivers?
Don't forget about this:
Please note that the usage of 4 GB AMD cards on Windows 7 is problematic, because the blockchain driver from 2017 doesn't seem to work properly with big DAGs, and the newer drivers do not support turning on the compute mode. There are some possible workarounds with patched/hacked drivers but we haven't tested them and can't tell you how to do it.

So, if you have Windows 7, forget about mining on 4Gb cards.

Hi!

I have a rig of 4 RX470 with 4GB and one RX 580 with 8 GB. Since yesterday the rig crashes after 10 minutes of activity, the cards with 4 GB do not mine at all. The card with 8GB is minning correctly.

I mine with Claymore miner. This problem is being reported by more miners that mine with Claymore. My question is:

Do you have the same problem with the Phoenix miner? I would like to know, so I can try installing the Phoenix miner to test if it solves the problem.
Claymore miner didn't updates already several years! It's a miracle that it work so long - up to DAG epoch #350.
Phoenix Miner updates periodically to support new DAG's, drivers etc.
So, I recommend to mine with PM. But you must install right drivers (read several last pages of theme - we talk about good drivers for PM and 4Gb cards not so far). And Windows 10 prefered, but not neccesary.
187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.0e: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: July 21, 2020, 08:22:14 AM
I know whole thing, and a single command -ppf 65 working on whole rig from 5 cards but if i set it up as -ppf 65,66,67,65,65 then miner/rig don't working (don't working when have commas).
That's my problem Sad

P.S. Sorry for my nervousness Sad
What error miner gives? Give screenshot.
Try to check by this way:
-ppf 65,65,65,65,65

Can you help me specifically or just share demagogic advices?
It's not demagogic. Any parameter can be set like
-mclock 1250
for all devices or
-mclock 1250,0,1100 for each device individually. 1250 for 1st GPU, didn't change for 2nd GPU, 1100 for 3rd GPU etc.

Ask what you want to set for your devices and i can help you if you can't do that.

Hello.
Need some HELP about -ppf command.

How to set those command per GPUs because i have 5 GPUs and want to dedicate different -ppf value per each GPU?

TNX

(Cards are rx 570s and rx 580s)

Just read the theme.

Also I tested on 1060 - the results are mixed. its 10*1060*6G, with this config:
-mclock +800,+800,+800,+775,+800,+775,+775,+800,+775,+800
-powlim -36,-36,-36,-36,-36,-36,-36,-36,-36,-36
-cclock +100,+100,+100,+100,+100,+100,+100,+100

The same way.

Monitor connected to GPU1?

yes my friend, a monitor by HDMI cable, also connect the cable in the GPU2 and the same thing happens, the GP1 that is in the main pcixpress, I also try to boot without connecting any hdmi cable to the cards, and nothing, my motherboard has no integrated video
I think Windows uses more video memory on primary videocard. This causes your problem. And nothing will help there. You need integrated videocard or 1st GPU with 6G or 8G onboard...

Hello, thanks for answering, which configuration and drivers do you recommend to install? I use Etherminer pool, I have the last PMiner, i installed the 20.4.2 drivers but it does not work well either, the first continuous in 0mhs, and by the way I am underperforming. at 11mhs

Code:
No CUDA driver found
OpenCL driver version: 20.4.1-2
Available GPUs for mining:
GPU1: Radeon RX 570 Series (pcie 1), OpenCL 2.0, 4 GB VRAM, 32 CUs
GPU2: Radeon RX 570 Series (pcie 3), OpenCL 2.0, 4 GB VRAM, 32 CUs
GPU3: Radeon RX 570 Series (pcie 4), OpenCL 2.0, 4 GB VRAM, 32 CUs
GPU4: Radeon RX 570 Series (pcie 6), OpenCL 2.0, 4 GB VRAM, 32 CUs
GPU5: Radeon RX 570 Series (pcie 8), OpenCL 2.0, 4 GB VRAM, 32 CUs

Eth speed: 46.361 MH/s, shares: 1/0/0, time: 0:01
GPUs: 1: 0.000 MH/s (0) 2: 11.588 MH/s (0) 3: 11.599 MH/s (0) 4: 11.620 MH/s (0) 5: 11.554 MH/s (1)
GPU1: 33C 85% 5W, GPU2: 46C 85% 88W, GPU3: 45C 85% 90W, GPU4: 45C 85% 88W, GPU5: 44C 85% 89W
GPUs power: 359.4 W
Drivers 20.4.2 is normal. You can use them. Did you changed GPU's workflow to "compute" in Radeon Settings? You can press "Y" during PM mining to change GPU's workflow to "compute".
What command line you're using? What command line you used for CM? PM supports most of CM options. Press "Z" key after launching for autotune the -gt parameter. It use about 5-10 minutes.
Did you set enough pagefile size?
Monitor connected to your 1st GPU?

hi friends, I have a rig with 5 - RX570 4gb, I was using the Clymore it has always worked well but lately the GPU0 does not start, mostly it is at 0.00mhs, in few opportunities to open and close the Clymore all 5 cards started, but I am getting tired, I read that with this miner (Phoenix) all 4GB cards work well, I am testing configurations but no! With this miner now GP0 does not start, it is always at 0.00, what can I do? is there any specific configuration?

tested configurarion:

You need one of latest AMD drivers for use PM miner. Your driver is too old.
Here Phoenix Miner wrotes about 4Gb cards and driver versions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2647654.msg54541099#msg54541099

IMPORTANT!  ETC is already at DAG epoch 350, so you must use PhoenixMiner 5.0b or later if you have 4 GB AMD cards. Additionally, here are some important tips for longest possible usage of 4 GB AMD cards with PhoenixMiner 5.0b:

  • If your rig is using Intel CPU, use the integrated graphics as primary display adapter. To do this, go to motherboard's BIOS setup and change the "Primary display adapter" to iGPU (or integrated GPU). Also, if you are using actual monitor or HDMI plug, put it in the motherboard video output.
  • If you can't use integrated GPU, replace the primary GPU with one with 6 or 8 GB VRAM.
  • Do not upgrade to a new AMD driver unless it is explicitly supported by PhoenixMiner. With 4 GB AMD cards, this will not only lower your hashrate but it will make impossible to mine when the DAG epoch is above 350.
  • After the DAG epoch becomes more than 350, the optimal -gt value for the 4 GB AMD cards may change. So, we recommend to run auto-tune again after DAG epoch 350 to find the best GT values for the cards.

After extensive testing of AMD Windows drivers for the last two years or so, we identified two broad groups of drivers:
  • Good drivers. These are versions from 18.12.1.1 to 19.7.5 (inclusive), and from 19.12.2 to 20.4.2 (inclusive). These will allow you to mine until DAG epoch 372-373 and won't need restart of PhoenixMiner on each DAG epoch change.
  • Not so good drivers. These are versions 18.1.1 to 18.10.1 (inclusive), and from 19.8.1 to 19.12.1 (inclusive). This will allow you to mine until DAG epoch 365-366 and will require restart of PhoenixMiner on each DAG epoch change (for these drivers this will be preformed automatically unless you have added -dagrestart 0 command-line option to explicitly disable the auto-restart).
  • Drivers older than 18.1.1 were not tested for 4 GB DAG operation.

Under Linux all relatively recent drivers (i.e. last 24-36 months) allow mining until epoch 378-380 but there are much more driver bugs, so if you are happy with your current driver version, do not change it.

Added support for latest AMD drivers 20.4.2 under Windows...
Here must be 20.7.1 I think.
Thanks for update!

AMD released 20.7.1 driver version.
I think PM needs update to support it...

doesn't work with NiceHash.

Thank you!
It work. Just add --tls 0 option to command line.

thx

Update your driver

Which version?
Latest no-beta.

7900 Driver 20.5.1 - unsuported device
I think that so old card as HD 7900 is just didn't supported by miner.
