I am getting a hard reset everytime I try any of the straps. I have testing mode enabled, secure boot off, driver 19.4.1 installed and 8 hynix rx580 8gb cards on win 10. When it goes to apply straps, it gets to the point where it shows the strap has been applied to the 2nd card and then...boom, reset. Tried with all levels of strap (1->5). I am setting the clocks with overdriventool externally, at 1751mhz (pretty low for testing sake).

Try to set 2000-2001MHz. And set voltages to default.

Anyone tried AMD 19.4.3 drivers? Does 4.2c support them?
So no one tried to install latest driver and run Phoenix miner?
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v14.0 (Windows/Linux) on: May 08, 2019, 07:27:07 PM
Tried on rig with rx 580 8G hynix memory... All straps up to 4 gives lower speed than my straps with the max 2250MHz MC. Best variant is 2nd strap on 2250MHz. But it still a bit lower than my strap.
Notices:
1. Often if strap set to 0 for use straps from vbios, miner at start can hang the system. But if didn't use -straps option miner always start fine. In vbios flashed eth straps.
2. Often miner hangs system on close if -straps option used.
3. If I use my manual strap (96 symbols) miner can hang on start, and everytime hang on close. But if these strap flashed to vbios and didn't used -straps option, miner works fine.

Maybe you will sign driver at least once? If it will be revoked - then let it be...

I still think it's not a good idea to waste kernel certificate.

What about separate tool for installing/uninstalling driver?

2 Claymore
Please, how to uninstall your driver and switch back windows from test to normal mode?

And about "paid straps from Eliovp" - I think everyone can examine them with Eliovp's tweak utility while your miner is running. Or are there some hidden gems?

1. Use "-driver uninstall" option with admin rights and reboot. Check Readme for details.
2. Registers contain only part of original strap, some values are modified.

So, without disabling secure boot no chances to run with straps, right? It's not good...

Do you really need secure boot on your rigs?
I could sign the driver, then some people will use my miner as malware, as always, then some AV will mark it as virus, then the certificate would be revoked... No way.
I didn't need SB on all my rigs. But on some of them I work and SB can't be disabled on them... That's why I ask...
You can make separate exe-utility for installing driver and sign them. Miner can use this tool for installing/uninstalling driver and even if miner will marked as virus, driver installed by separate tool with sign will not revoked!
Just think about it, please. I'm sure that it can solve many questions in future.

And another one question: you made memory straps by yourself? Or you take it from somewhere? Can you share this straps for us, so we just flash it on our bioses. Those who can't use driver?

P.S. Some time ago zawawa (he maked GGS miner) can apply memory straps in his miner without any drivers on the fly... So it's exist a way to do it so...
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v14.0 (Windows/Linux) on: May 07, 2019, 09:44:17 PM
Secure boot didn't allow to load unsigned drivers with UEFI bios.
I tried to run miner with admin rights but I got error:
In log:
23:39:57:796        4e14        Driver is not installed! Trying to install it...
23:39:57:854        4e14        Failed, you must run miner with admin rights.
On screen system error message appears before "Failed..."
"Value protected by secure boot policy and can't be changed"

Oh, you are correct, I completely forgot how it must work.
So, without disabling secure boot no chances to run with straps, right? It's not good...

Thanks!
But if secure boot enabled driver wouldn't be installed, right? Only disabling SB can help?
Without your driver straps can't be applied?
P.S. Why 14th version? There is no 13th...

Secure boot is not related to the driver. Miner will set "Test Mode" in Windows to use unsigned driver.
I don't like "13" number so I skipped it Smiley

Secure boot didn't allow to load unsigned drivers with UEFI bios.

v14.0 Beta:

- Windows only: added ability to apply optimized memory timings (straps) on-the-fly, without flashing VBIOS, up to 20% speedup compared to stock BIOS. Currently only Polaris cards are supported, other cards will be added later.
Drivers 18.x or newer are required. Best straps for Ethereum are included. Check "-strap" and "-driver" options for details.
- Windows only: added temperature/fan/clocks management for Radeon VII.
- a few minor bug fixes and improvements.

Thanks!

New version is almost ready, but during testing I found some strange issue: sometimes if a card has no display connected I cannot change its memory clock. I tried both WattMan and AB to change memory clock, both show that new memory clock is applied, but no changes in hashrate until I use hdmi dummy plug. This is serious issue because most straps are good only with memory overclock. I use 19.4.3 drivers and see this issue on most Polaris cards. But sometimes it works for some reason...
So new version is postponed until I find some workaround (or confirm that there is no way to fix it), it's not a good idea to use hdmi plug for every card in rig.

Maybe it's driver issue? I use 19.4.1 driver and 2nd card has no connections. Memory OC works in your 12.0 version normal...

my telegram channel about this software  https://t.me/Claymores

It's only an announcement type of channel with Claymores download URLs around. Suspicious. A discussion type channel would be better IMO.

especially since there are not many new versions coming out Wink

Yeah that's what I meant indirectly. Including links to the miner looks like a cheap ass trick to get someone hacked in the future by replacing the URL with the phishing one after gaining some trust.  Roll Eyes

I'm sorry 4ward if you don't have any intention like this. Your announcement channel does not make any sense.
the point is that all files in the miner are already configured. it remains in the files to change your wallet and start mining. it is very convenient

You don't make much sense. Claymore miner is already set and doesn't need any complex modifications after download. Roll Eyes

Author, Nicehash added CuckooCycle pool. Can you add this support in your miner?

I tried running this miner for monero.
I have a videocard RX 480 4 gb, windows 7, driver crimson beta.
The driver crashes, black screen.
This is not the first miner, which I do not run on Monero, the problem is the same everywhere - the crash driver.
Then try other driver. This miner works fine on latest...

It would be good if TeamRedMiner will work on R9 290 and R9 280 cards. They have almost the same hashing power as RX470/480 with bigger consumption. Monero mining is not so warming as other algos, so during summer time the owners of such cards will be greatful for such a good Monero miner as TeamRed.
They have less hashing power, essp. 280 card. And at least twice power consumption... Mining on these cards can be profitable only with free electricity.

Claymore, another one question: can you make double memory usage to increase a bit eth speed? Like Phoenix maded?

In my tests double memory usage shows zero speedup.
You want to say that Phoenix miner showing fake speed? His double memory kernels gives about 1,5% more speed than usual...
Is the performance 1.5% higher than usual at the pool's side too?
Maybe not equal to 1.5%, but higher than with usual kernels.

Anyone please to sugest settings for rx 570/80 ver0.4.4,i can not maintain miner stable for more than 1hour. Somethimes crashing almost inmediately. Tried  8+7(8GB cards micron memory CC 1200,MC 2190,865mV for both) but not worked for me.
Thanks in advance!

Damn. Your memory clock is 2190 at 865mv and it crashes immediately.
Maybe try and lower your memory clock
I run mine at 1975

It works perfectly with same overclock settings on 0.4.2 and long stable without crashes. Same settings i use for SRB miner without crashes, but i would like to find the right settings for this miner and 0.4.4 because of lower electricity consumption.

So have you tried lower memory clock???
Or 7+7 TRM setting??
Just because it work before on other miners or other versions don't assume your settings are right.

All my rx570/580 run core of around 1180 and mem of between 1850-1975 and TRM of 6+6 or 7+7  and I get between 950-1000hs

Edit.  You also did ask for suggestions
I use one RX580 8Gb with 14+14 config for CNR. MC 2250 at 825mV. Other 12+12 MC 2235 at 837mV.
I know that I can lower memory clocks without losing speed, but I need it for other purposes.
When I use cryptonight stripes, I use for 1 card MC 1975 at 800mV, 2nd - 1860 at 825mV. Both cards at Hynix MJR.
