Phoenix, allready 19.2.3 driver realeased and I sure AMD release 19.3.1 version soon. When we can use new version of your miner with support of new drivers versions?
why you would use pm with newest drivers ? you will have the same results in hashrate ... ffs

I didn't want to use old drivers for one miner. With support of new drivers PM works faster. Without support of drivers PM gives many rejected shares and speed is lower cause of impossibility of using new and 3rd kernels.

End of development

Hello all,

Sorry for the 2-week blackout, but i'm coming with bad news: as I expected, i lost most of the dev time I used to have the previous 12 monthes and i now have virtually zero.

I could somehow cheat by taking the reference code I miss (CN-GPU, CN-Monero4, Wow...), compile it and get some fees for free, but that would be mishonnest. Rather than providing bad support, i prefer to explicit say i need to stop.

While the lack of time is the principal reason, i also noticed:
- A strong loss of value of Coins, only a few of them are still profitable, unless you have free power
- My competitors got a lot stronger. Xmrig/stak went from a naive C code (march 2018) to an on-the-fly assembly generator (march 2019). While not impossible, beating them would take a lot more time than it took one year ago when there were just three, simple forks.

I wish i had released one last farewell version, like with CN-ReverseWaltz, but i just have zero time left. I struggled to release the v8-capable in october (almost) in time, but for Monero4 i just can't.

I thank you all for your priceless comments, support and bug report, with a mention for Unclwish who found some crazy obscure bugs.
I'll put an explicit message in first post and GitHub page to state the last supported forks are the ones of jan/fev 2019 (Turtle v2 & al.) and that there will be none for Monero4.

Thanks again and goodbye,
  - JCE

you dont have to be the best!! you have lot of ppl who just love your miner, cause itīs stable and fast!
i wish you the best and hope you will find back your motivation!
Motivaition is simple here - time for development does not pay off by the fees cause of low profit of CN-coins at this moment. And he's absolutly right!

I got some old GPUs on my rig so the miner shuts down on startup. However I would like to use this miner for Vegas on that rig so any workaround?
Your bat-file?

Very sad news... I very llike your miner, JCE, and good support and feedback.
But you're right about profit of coins. Hope you'll return to development if profit grows.

Will you add Windows AMD support for cuckaroo algo?

Miner needs nicehash support!

this code dispute has nothing with do with other uses of gminer, which i enjoy and continue to support.

You are totally right on it.
Purely from performance characteristics its clear that the cuda codes for Beam and likely also for all the other algorithms are own work and original.
The fraud is only on the recently introduced AMD Beam code that seems to be just the lolMiner code with small modification (two kernels renamed and one kernel doing a small extra output that their miner seems to need) but with double fee. Only purpose: pushing me out of the Beam market and getting more of the cake. And this is not fair. As said, I believe the other codes are their own work and on professional basis I must admit I am always impressed by the speed this cuda codes have. But with this AMD code you gone too far.

Agreed.
I'm use lolMiner for BEAM on AMD. Lolliedieb, please add support for grin algos in your miner for AMD cards and all AMD miners go to your miner!

Getting this problem what is bad with my config file?

C:\bminer-v15.0.0-e143cb4>bminer -devices amd:1 -uri cuckaroo29://1LXQnVpwha7Up2LDZNdGd8rh3ba3R2dooW@grincuckaroo29.usa.nicehash.com:3371

Author, remove "AMD" from name of topic. Your miner didn't support AMD cards.

It does support BEAM on AMD:

https://www.bminer.me/examples/#specifying-devices
Speed is too low on BEAM on AMD cards. Not all pools supported.

MINER WORK PERFECTLY WITH AMD 19.2.2 DRIVER

Miner work with any driver. But not "perfectly". If it didn't support installed driver it causes many stale shares and can't use new and double kernels.
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 4.1c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: February 17, 2019, 08:23:24 PM
AMD released 19.2.2 driver but miner didn't support even 19.2.1...
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 4.1c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: February 13, 2019, 02:23:10 PM
I still think adding Zilliqa as dual mining option
would be the best thing to add...can't comment how hard that would be,
but since its ethash based, I guess not too hard
Any 2nd based eth algo would slow main eth algo. There is logic?

Need AMD Grin support!
@UnclWish: Why don't you write it yourself?
You WISH to get something.... There is no real need. I am sure the devs do their best.
It's your opinion? If you can't say something useful, don't write at all.
I wouldn't write if it were not real need in AMD Grin support.

its really better than Claymore?
Only if your drivers supported by miner. Claymore didn't have this dependence. But if Phoenix miner support your drivers - it faster.
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner Equihash Miner, Update: Feb 7th: lolMiner 0.7 alpha 5 on: February 11, 2019, 02:07:34 PM
Tested beam on the R9 Fury Nano and r9 390's

15.2 sol on the nano.
12.5sol on the 390 gigabyte g1 gaming

Pretty good, bether than the 580's
580 gives 12.5-13 for about 100-120Wt. Your cards take more power.
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v12.0 (Windows/Linux) on: February 11, 2019, 09:45:14 AM
@claymore Please make us A decent Grin Miner for Amd!!!!
Please Mr. Claymore!!!

What's wrong with existing Grin miners?

Nvidia miners are faster,

Gtx 1060 mines almost 2x than a rx580 8gb

amd miners dont have any major speedup since launch

You can easily balance this battle with you amd master skills  Cool
And plus no miners for AMD with grin algos and nicehash support in Windows yet...

Hi your miner is great, actually it's the best AMD miner of all Smiley I have been mining some Vertcoin lately on my AMD rig. But I wanted to try out Lyra2Rev3 at NiceHash too, but I'm getting "Share above target" all the time and rejected shares. Anything particular I need to do?
Lyra2rev3 normal mines with TR miner on nicehash. Post your bat file.
