461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v12.0 (Windows/Linux) on: April 25, 2019, 05:08:58 AM
I don't like flashing bios so I solved this problem finally.
v12.1 is almost ready, I'm going to release it in 3-4 days.
It cannot perform runtime tuning of memory timing registers, it will be added a bit later, in another update.
But it can apply entire straps on-the-fly (Windows only). Currently for Polaris cards only, may be later I will add support for other cards too. So you can use stock vbios and don't flash your cards to try new straps.
Instead, you just put new strap string to config file and the miner applies it immediately in runtime.
If specified strap is not working it will not cause any problems, after reboot you will have stock strap again because bios is not changed.
This way you can keep stock bios and also test new straps safe and easy.
It's impressive! Finally finding best straps will take much less time. Thanks! We're waiting!

Does Phoenix 4.2c support 19.4.3 AMD drivers like 19.4.1? On 19.4.1 miner shows 19.3/2 and works on full speed.
Anyone tried 19.4.3 allready?

Are the AMD asm kernels still Linux only?  I didn't see anything about them being updated in the last few releases, but I thought I would ask to be sure.  Thanks.

Still 0.8.1 wont connect to Nicehash, am I doing something wrong? Could smbody give me a sample bat to connect to grin31 server, thx!

Phoenix, please add AMD 19.4.1 driver support.

What about asm kernels for Windows version?
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 4.2c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: March 30, 2019, 09:39:16 PM
@PhoenixMiner: I started using version 4.2c this week. But the hashrate was much more unstable than before. Now I'm using the previous version again.
If you have nvidias add -mi 10 to your settings and it will work like previous version

Thanks for your reply but I've got rx570. Does this setting help here, too?
I think that it will not help you. Strange, PM haven't said anything about modifying the AMD kernels in the new version.
For my RX 580 nothing was changed in latest version. Speed is the same as was in previous.

Paбoтaю нa блoкчeйнoвcкиx. Paзницy c пocлeдними нe нaблюдaю
Тогда какой смысл сидеть на древних драйверах?

He asked about drivers needed for AMD cards - blockchain, latest or specific version.
I'm answered that I'm always use latest AMD drivers for my RX 580 cards. If miner support this latest drivers, speed is always the same. No speed drops from all drivers from blockchain to latest 19.3.2.

Я на последних майню на RX 580. Всегда обновляю драйверы на последние, если майнер обновлен под эти драйверы, ни разу еще скорость не падала.
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.8.1 - native algo switching on: March 23, 2019, 09:00:27 AM
It looks like newer drivers (adrenaline 2019) slow down the crashing issue that occurs because the memory or page file grows too much.
Anyone else can confirm this?

Testing now 19.3.2 and ONT 0.2.8, the timing level whatever i put isn't changing the hashrate for me on Vega56. Is it just me or .. ? Smiley

First tests show that hashrate is worse than on 18.6.1 - tested on bittube and v4.
If you use the compiled kernels from 18.6.1 on 19.3.2 then the hashrate will be also good.
I think it has long been necessary to update your miner for optimal work with newest drivers. 18.6.1 is too old already.

Hi what driver is best for win7 RX550/2 for cryptonight?

I'll have to hope that someone in the general audience can give you a hint here, we have done zero testing on win 7 unfortunately.
So it must be win 10 or linux for better result? For linux, as i understand, it must be rocm or gpupro, and for win 10 what driver best?
Try latest 19.3.2. I use it for RX 580. Speed is good.

Can anyone share with me kernel files compiled on 18.6.1 Windows 10 driver for cnr RX 580 8Gb card?
Kernel files is on "cache" folder inside miner folder.

Enjoy Wink

Thanks! I'll try it! Can you make the same with fragments 1 and 4?

+f1
Sorry, f4 exists. Need f1 and f2.

anybody tuned intensity param for CNv4 on Vegas?

112 for vega56, 123 for vega64, also try playing with the thread delay parameter
doctor, I have 2 RX 588. On 1st all right, but on 2nd speed max can i get on SRB miner is 1001-1002 h/s on cnr. But on TeamRed miner on this card i have 1045 h/s. Tried different intensities, tried to change thread delay, but can't increase max speed. Windows 10, Drivers is last 19.3.2.
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.8.1 - native algo switching on: March 18, 2019, 06:56:04 PM
Sup guys.

Long time i dont mine cryptonight, i used SRB to mine heavy algo good time ago and stoped.
Now i am gonna help a friend of myne to mine Monero with SRB miner, monero uses V4 right?
Can some1 tell me what is the intensity that is normaly used in a RX 580 in v4?
If 8Gb card - try this variants - 71, 72, 90, 104, 108, 112, 116, 118

What type of parameters --maxnosharesent?
What to write in the settings to interrupt became equal to 60 minutes?
If default pointed in help to 15 minutes, looks like this parameter is in minutes. But this parameter restart miner if no accepted shares for pointed minutes. So for restart miner after 60 minutes without shares point
--maxnosharesent 60
Or you need to restart miner in any case after 60 minutes?

--maxnosharesent 60
Или тебе надо перезапуск майнера через 60 минут, независимо от шар?

Author, how to force one of GPU use one thread? I tried --cn_config 14, --cn_config 14+0 but these variants causes miner to close after run.
I need that to free some GPU power from one of gpu from mining to other purposes...

Ah, I remember you have one gpu with monitor(?). Sorry to say we don’t include a single-threaded mode since we didn’t anticipate anyone needing it, it’s rather just a risk that people enable it and you get extra support questions Smiley. But, we can probably introduce x+0 meaning that we disable the second thread. I’ll check it and schedule it for a future release.
Thanks! I'll wait this. How to lower intensity? Just lower numbers in --cn_config?

Yes, just use lower numbers in --cn_config. However, "intensity" is such a bad choice of words. It only means we will allocate less memory on the gpu, but the compute and mem bandwidth pressure won't change that much. However, if you're running a monitor, gpu mem might just be exactly the resource you want the miner to use less of, so maybe it's enough for you?
No, it's not enough. I know about memory amount needed. And know about increasing it on higher cn_config volumes. But I need to run 1st GPU with one thread yet. Please add in next release zero thread possibility (8+0) as you wrote before.
