Has anyone else had an issue with your wallet saying you already spent the PPCoins you are trying to send, after freezing, then appear to have sent the coins? Are they really sent?

Edit: after waiting probably an hour, the transaction is still unconfirmed, and it doesn't show up on the other end. Any ideas as to how to get these coins back?

Ive tried my best at following the instructions to a T for installing cgminer and the client, i cant open either... i cant get an address and i cant mine. is there a way of using pheonix miner and also can someone talk me through in simplistic terms on how to get the client running.... im having no luck watso ever.... all i get are either conf files not found with cgminer or a blank cmd screen with the client.

if uptake is gna happen things like the install need to be made simple like ltc and btc

windows 7 64

try downloading the client https://sourceforge.net/projects/ppcoin/files/ and the gui http://dl.dropbox.com/u/75013537/PPCoin.7z.

unpack them into the same folder, then run the PPCoin QT

You'll need to create a conf in your appdata folder or just pool mine with cgminer

something like:

cgminer  -o http://ppcpool.us.to:9942/ -u PPCoin address -p cheeseburger farts --auto-fan --auto-gpu --gpu-engine 940,890 --gpu-memclock 950,300 --temp-target 72,65  --temp-cutoff 85,85 -I 8,8

Hey, just restored to a wallet backup and everything is a-okay. Still though, that is a bug you might want to look into fixing... for users who don't do wallet backups. Sad

Not working for me, getting a "the program can't start because of missing minggwm10.dll" error  Sad
Give me a minute i'll look into it.

thanks Smiley
I've updated the link in my first post, turns out I forgot to include the libraries needed because QT doesn't do it for me :S.

Hmm can't do much without further info though this is first report of this kind but I'll keep it in mind. How did you send the transaction? Through 'ppcoind sendtoaddress' or some gui wallet?

ok thank you for that rubberduckie, for some reason your simple 5 lined response worked. I now have a client and ive started mining with pheonix.

couple of issues:

1. should I use the same settings as bitcoin mining within my phoenix bat file? I cant seem to get device=1 to work, simply crashes when I put both in the instruction line.  at the moment I use this:

phoenix -u

http://PQBv6xTcYb5ZTs2pRRxZSmjBYCxYmFSRJs:password@ppcpool.us.to:9942 -k phatk VECTORS fastloop BFI_INT -q 3 AGGRESSION=21 WORKSIZE=128 device=0

2. when mining it does not display my speed (kh) is there a reason for this... apparently I am doing 0 kh but submitting shares

3. when mining with ppcpool i am getting alot of no work idle errors, will adding a higher -q value help?

4. when do the ppc actually go to my wallet?

I should have mentioned this is a dual card rig non crossfired. cant seem to get two instances to work either. anyway below is what i am currently getting... as u can see theres plenty of idle time and note 0 speed

The transaction was sent through the PPCoin Gui (qt), and I just used the regular send action. If you want I can dig up the txID, but I doubt it's on the network as a restore to my old wallet backup showed my old coins...

Do you remember the exact time you sent it? 18:00 UTC was the network switch time, I want to know if this may have something to do with it. You said the gui prompt an error message about coin already spent? Since I don't use gui I'd like to at least keep a record of what exactly occurred with this incident.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been at work.

I'm only familiar with cgminer but if you still need help, I'll be happy too Smiley

I've done a couple of PPCoin mining contracts over the past day or two, if anyone wants some serious mining horsepower pointed their way send me a PM.
You can see a contract I currently have going over at http://ppcpool.us.to/ - address PHb9BwyLyzaCQqc3wWPey6oaGGFHzGnJby  Smiley

I hope someone can help me. When I use guiminer (phoenix) or cgminer and one vid card is hashing say at 350mh/s, when I start minining the next video mine, the 1st video slows to like 300mh/s and the 2nd vid card is not getting the full speed either, missing about 50mh/s. I am selecting different devices, for example, 0-1 cypress and 0-2 cypress.

Is this a driver issue?

FYI, with the difficulty increase to 8300 and the reward dropping to 1000PPC the equivalent "price" of ppcoin now rose to 0.00015 BTC/PPC or 6500 PPC/BTC:

(2700000/8300)*(1000 PPC/50 BTC) = 325 * 20 PPC/BTC =6500 PPC/BTC
[relative chance to find a block in PPC * relative proportion of the reward in PPC]
