Wow, that's my favorite one so far. I also like the double meaning of nature in the slogan. One question though, why are the edges of the coin jagged looking?
Expanding on this, I think it looks like a leaf crossed with the AT&T logo, only green instead of blue.

sorry to derail the hard coinage discussion.
I have a question about proof of stake. I now have some coin in my wallet with at least 30 coindays. My wallet is 'currently unlocked for block minting only'
Do I have to do anything else? I do not see any balance with Stake: 0
I have at least 10 solo blocks that are more then 30 days old. help

I'm interested also in this answer as I've got a couple transactions that I believe are 31 and 33 days, but stake also shows 0. Thanks.

That's normal as it's a random process to generate stake, past 30 days you start with very small probability, reaching full probability at 90 days with respect to your coin amount.

Thanks. For some reason I was under the impression stake showed potential interest/stake that I hadn't yet solved a block for.

Sunny, Are there any plans to add some more features to the stake generation? I think it would be nice to have a balance shown for stake eligible coins. Basically on the client overview page:
Balance: 1000 Stake Eligible: 500 Stake Eligible Coin age: 60 Average Coin age in wallet: 25
Not that all of those fields are required, just brainstorming.
Maybe there is a way to look that information up that I'm not aware, but POS is the one mystery that very few really understand, at least it appears so to me with all of the questions I see and that I've asked.
Maybe with more information available in the client PPC's acceptance will accelerate as more people will understand how POS works.
Also instead of calling it "Stake" is there any reason not to call it "Interest (POS)" or something along those lines? Joe the plumber wouldn't know what stake was, but interest he would be all over.

PPC is under threat. Vote now. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=196944.0Argue that it means nothing because it doesn't affect the fundamentals or the currency if you must, but go there and vote anyway, because whether you like it or not, this matters to the popular perception of PPC.

Newest designs...(the poker chip one is being redone at the moment because, well...it looked like a poker chip). And guys, if you can't tell, they are actually using your feedback that I pass on to them, please keep it coming.

People who say it isn't a big player are just noobs who compare cryptocurrencies by the price. They don't know it is market capitalisation which measures the size of the coin. Novacoin is almost the same price as Litecoin but it's market cap is tiny in comparison to most other coins... hence why you shouldn't regard Novacoin as a big player.

Someone posted a very interesting pie-chart on mining revenue: This isn't directly relevant to ppcoin, as we do not depend on energy consumption for network security. But for all the pure proof-of-work cryptocurrencies, it is critical. Of interest is the LTC vs BTC battle (FTC and CNC are temporary spike of launch). LTC now accounts for 15% mining revenue, vs bitcoin's 65%. Mining revenue is a direct measurement of network security of pure proof-of-work currencies. It appears that bitcoin is losing the battle of domination in the long term, for several reasons that seem to be inevitable. a) bitcoin's inflation rate is much lower than newer altcoins, and future inflation would approach 0 b) to maintain dominance in mining revenue thus network security, it must raise transaction fee to high level, which reduces it's competitiveness as a payment network (dilemma). If my observation is correct, none of the pure proof-of-work cryptocurrency can maintain dominance. It is an important strategic advantage for a different design such as ppcoin.

I have long thrown out a mixture of PoW and PoS for security. It doesn't have enough differentiation going for it. That's why ppcoin is designed with pure PoS for security, PoW only for minting. But if tacotime can pull it off I would welcome it. Cunicula has touted such designs for ages, my advice would be getting into a practical engineering mode and do not try for the pie-in-the-sky sort of designs. If your design cannot be completed in one year then I would say just forget it as you can see in a year you already would have 100 more altcoins to compete with.

Mjbmonetarymetals, I'm liking each design you post better than the last. The thinner rim around the coin and the redesigned leaf give it a much more simplistic look. What would that design look like with the other P symbol as this one looks like it says IP?

Here, I altered the design just a little bit to connect the two P's at the top and in the middle so it doesn't look like it says IP anymore. What do you think? I actually like the P symbol more now that it's squished closer together. It looks better than the spaced out version we were working with.

Very nice. These designs are constantly improving to more beautiful and impressive direction. To this one I don't even have any suggestions to improve, it's out of my league in a good way
