Are they supposed to be like green honeycombs or something? Just wondering what the thought was behind the design and how that fits in with the Eco-theme. I like the fact that it creates a pattern that fits the entire background of the coin, similar to the way Litecoin has the diagonal stripe pattern.

By the way Sunny, in case you didn't see, here is some discussion about your proposal...

PPC is just a good time. I could easy remember it and tell it from a bunch of other altcoins instantly. Don't change the name.

One question: I am currently holding PPC in my encrypted wallet since April. When will the 1% stake show up in my wallet?

See this doc: http://www.ppcoin.org/static/ppcoin-paper.pdf

In my words: The coins have to accumulate age first, as much as you want, but for at least 30 days. For aging they must not be spend.

After waiting long enough your client can calculate/mint PoS blocks of it, with the PoS (Proof-of-Stake) method. With these blocks the PPC network becomes secured, in an energy-efficient way, because PoS block generation performs with low load on your computer. With generating a new PoS block the time counter for consumed coinage is reset (by coinstake transaction). The more coinage (number of coins * age in days) you have, the higher the possibility to find PoS blocks. This way you can expect up to 1% interest a year, for securing the PPC network.

It's sufficient to start your client from time to time. You do not loose your coin age after a long offline period. But as I understood it, one should have switched on his client as longer as more coins you have, for securing the network by consuming the coinage.

I'm also waiting on my first PoS block, have to wait until end of May.

It's common knowledge that Sunny intends to change the name to SunCoin in the not so distant future.  So, lets see some sun/sunshine themed graphics.

I've had some professional designers working on this project actually, here is where their designs stand...any input that I can forward on to them would be helpful.  As I've said elsewhere, I didn't make these, so feel free to bash them as you will, but constructive criticism is best.

I like the P symbol with the horizontal line at the bottom like the one in my avatar. The other symbol looks too complicated in my opinion.

Top row in the middle looks best, though a little bit too much plastic feel. Maybe some kind of jade texture might give it more "precious" feel as well as maintain green color.

I totally agree...here are some more also. Sunny, would really love some of your feedback on this...even if you hate them all Wink

I like third row, left the best, also the O in the logo is nice, like the other green coin logos
the only issue I have with it is that it looks a lot like a poker chip, at least it is one of the more expensive gambling chips, actually I don't really know, but I thought the green chips had a value of 1000, could be wrong about that though

Yes. Excellent. The others also.
Nearly all of them are coming along very and extremly shiny ...

I am missing something like "ppcoin accepted here". Something to establish the brand. Something that people recognize instantly on merchant sites.

Maybe it's a good idea to publish some of them on ppcoin.org. Then time will tell which ones are most liked and used.

Well, I'm only having the designers work on an actual 'coin' design, I'm assuming that the 'ppcoin accepted here' could be done by somebody after the fact...this is more of a branding idea.  I think the idea of 'shiny' lends itself to metal, the association most people have with a coin, or currency in general...also there is a 'newness' to it.

Wow, that's my favorite one so far. I also like the double meaning of nature in the slogan. One question though, why are the edges of the coin jagged looking?

It's giving a hint that there's a reeded edge to the coin , not necessary of course
