Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Say I have 10k of ppcoins, how much will I earn annually from minting in the long run. (1% of 10k) ?

Roughly that, if you don't move them.

Hey, I used Paint to modify that image above to include the style we're working with now, just to see what it looked like. There might be some jagged edges. There's only so much I can do with Paint, but at least it will give you an idea of what it would look like. Maybe somebody can do a better version using Photoshop. I made two versions..

this on ppcoin.org please.

Another test layout.

- Modified logo icon, tried to use more of an eco theme with a simple symbol.
- Added labels to navigation icons as per feedback.

*Following test to use more text and visual information to explain ppcoin and crypto currency.

Made a new very minimal homepage proposal:

Can make into html if requested, thanks

I think the actual character art on that logo is better than what we've seen so far, but it looks more like a button than a logo. Maybe try putting the double p on a coin type image with a nice shine, I think it could look nice... not sure about the green dot...

Another test layout.

Hey man, I just want to make sure you know I'm not trying to rip off and take credit for your design or anything. I just really like different things about your version and what has been posted so far, for example the green eco-style background and the coin combined with your layout and buttons. I think it's important that we stick with the greenish background rather than the gray, since it represents an eco theme.

In this updated version I chose to replace ppcoin.org with p2p coin. I wanted to make sure p2p was somewhere on the website because it tells people what pp means, for those who don't know. I added the new buttons you included since they look better. I also changed the button text from Paper to "How it Works". Maybe paper can still be included somewhere else, but I think it's important that we include a link to a page that properly explains exactly what ppcoin is in laymans terms.

I removed the ppcoin = proof of stake + proof of work phrase. Although I do like it, I think it would confuse people that are new to the cryptocurrency world. I just added p2p coin and that was it. I think the better idea would be to just explain what proof of stake is on the how it works page and how it's a better system than bitcoin.

I strongly believe that the logo should only incorporate symbols which are available in unicode, though doubling up for design sake should be fine. This will make it much better in the future should peercoin gain general traction, since sums can be easily recognized as peercoin with just one symbol which can be typed.

My favorite:
Ᵽ4734.58     U+2C63

Others seem to like:
Ꝑ500.327    U+A750

There certainly are others but I think one of these would be best.

I noticed he did mention our work here in his weekly update...

"The graphics team continues to put out great designs! I noticed that Arstechnica even included Mjbmonetarymetals's earlier designs for a redub of Wired UK article on altcoins."

It would be nice to hear his opinion on what we've done so far though. Maybe he'd like different links than the ones provided in the concept art, or at least additional ones.

I did another update to my concept art. I made the text smaller and put it under the icons instead of on top. I also brought the icons closer together...

Check out Amazon.com's design on their brand new "Amazon Coin".

The gold relief look is gorgeous. I think we should do the same thing with PPC.

It would blow all the other coins away.
