Need a slack and a new website.

I was messaged by the devs on how much I'd pay.

Lets keep this convos open, so I will reply here.

I'd donate $100 in BTC for the revamp of a new website.

I can prob get it done with some of my dev team guys...If needed.

Maybe we need a BTC donate pool for the revamp of the site, and maybe a fund to pay a community slack mod.

Maybe a social media campaign on Twitter would be beneficial.

Maybe a BitcoinPlus Snap Chat / Youtube / Vine - showing people how to send a receive BitcoinPlus?

Simple and cheap exposure, new investors like to see the community go that extra step.

Lets do some of these things as a group.

I'm a new owner of BitcoinPlus and think this coin will be a huge winner for all of us.

Thanks for the offers of donations but really there is no need. The website is based on drupal. As you can see the current template is simple and to the point. Its great for seo which has been XBC priority for the last year. Unique visitors arriving directly from google to the website is largest its ever been thanks to all the hard work and unique content. Now the content is at a good level the spare time we have can now be spent on slide shows, videos and we will be having a premium theme.

If you want to help XBC then just keep pestering merchants into accepting XBC. Keep pestering exchanges into accepting XBC. And keep spreading the word.

Re Slack - We have slack channel. Another team member runs it and will update when it is confirmed.

We already have a website that is working fine and doing what it is supposed to so if it aint broke dont fix it.Personally I feel we dont need any power point rangers making it overcomplicated but we are looking at sleeker templates and maybe some video intro and will keep yall updated on progress.

Obviously its exchange additions as a main target, we can all figure that.

All that takes is 4 mins a day from one of you to contact exchanges, I can tell you that I do this everyday.

Can we be informed if the BitcoinPlus team has any other plans besides just getting on exchanges?

Bugging them only does so much, they want to see constant improvements.

I think something that would be very cool for BitcoinPlus to adapt is stake pooling.

Not everyone has enough XBC to make it worth staking, but if 10 small fish pooled their XBC together and distributed earnings proportionately, this might get more people to invest.

Don't mind me guys, I'm just trying to see the most be done with our free time here.

Hi Mastertrader777...I'll answer some of this and maybe a few other team members will answer some as well.

There are changes and upgrades being made to the website that I have seen today and they look great. All I'm going to say about that for now.

I assure you I personally spend about an hour per day checking out exchanges and all that's involved with being added to them. It's something that is being worked on everyday with no end in sight. Tomorrow I will be working on exchanges, the day after that, and so on. It's a never ending task but I do not mind doing it. When your contacting people half way around the world that don't necessarily speak your language it becomes more difficult.

There are many great things happening over the course of the next month and I'm sure you will be pleased. April was a great month, May will be even better.

The main target is overall making XBC the best and everyday we do something to get there. Not a day goes by that this is not being worked on/ improved by either the team or dev. Everyday something is happening.

Slack channel is up and active.

I like this.

I like all of it.

 

This is why I invested.

XBC was already listed on Bittrex and c-cex,mintpal etc.It already was delisted from the first during the tenure of the previous development team and this is what makes it difficult getting it relisted.For the last two years we have been back and forth with Bittrex and we get the picture that the only thing they want to see is a larger and more proactive community.


Once this thread grows and their irc #bittrex is hammered with requests along with their trollbox by any traders who trade there and tweets,emails,etc etc are targeted at them they should be happy enough to see things are moving in that direction.

It is no good a few team members doing this day in day out because that does not show a large community presence and if there is not a real organic growth in this area I cant see a natural listing bar a paid one and paid listings dont last if you dont have the natural community/trading community there to satisfy daily volume etc.

We already are on other exchanges but Poloniex is the mothership as far as exchanges go it doesnt get any better than there.All other exchanges are secondary to Poloniex exchange.


We are focusing on getting the wallet updates pushed through to the main source now and after that we will look at whats next.Remember a lot has been done recently but vendor adoption and community growth is essential.Sometimes back to basics is best only this time using a different approach.

What you are doing right now is what we are after and what is needed.Using your own initiative and doing what you can as an individual community member to reach out to whatever service,exchange you would personally like XBC to be used by or listed on.We arent communists but a decentralised community of individuals cooperating with our own diverse and individual opinions.We can do our own thing anytime but agree on major changes that affect us all through consensus.

We honestly do not really need a slack channel simply because everybody else does.In fact why does anyone use slack when they are supposed to be a p2p decentralised project?Surely they would have a matrix channel instead?

Support can be dealt with here or through the website.When we grow we can set up a helpdesk or whatever.

Anyway we have a team member who wishes to start a slack channel so we will se how it goes for him and wish him well.If anything we need to make this thread grow and keep using the links on the website.

If you use poloniex or any other exchange etc take a moment to stop by the website and go from there.It all helps.Using this thread to make a post and clicking onto the website and maybe taking a look at the vendors sites we have listed etc.We need utility and usage and real organic growth.

I vote for a new website. The current website is fine for the XBC Project but BitcoinPlus needs an image update. A more professional website to promote the advantages of using and owning BitcoinPlus.

Well I took a look at this one https://bitcoin.org but its not much better than the one bitcoinplus have now and I think these people ( bitcoin development team) know what they are doing.Flashy websites mean nothing to most people.They only want the coin to do what its supposed to do and have decent liquidity/price/volume and be able to buy some stuff with it on places like amazon and overstock or whatever.
