of course the government won't replace it. why would they. if they will at some point replace it, then it definitely won't be Bitcoin. they will simply make their own currency.

In this time. Maybe not because you can see bitcoin can only use for internet. You can't even use to pay for malls or any kind of stores. unless some of store are accepting bitcoin. But its only few. But if in the future bitcoin can. If do they have coins or real cash and etc. We cannot say what happen next but bitcoin can replace in the future.

The government simply can't create their own type of crypto though even if they wanted too. Think about it... That's like saying every nation world wide by now would have their own form of the Internet that's only used for their country. If their is another currency a major nation would implement it would be globally accepted, and at this point in time, Bitcoin seems like a very likely front runner for that spot.

Bitcoin will never completely replace the dollar because of the strength and power of governments. Bitcoin or some other cryptocurrency will become a highly used worldwide currency at some point however. This is inevitable.

Exactly they can't even think of replacing dollars with bitcoin rather than having new currency because if they replace dollars with Bitcoin they have no profit in it

Well bitcoin needs to have quite some stability first, then we can see what and where bitcoin's place is in FOREX trading. Right now it is a no go for sure.

No way we are looking for such great news in 2015. This kind of news is to be expected in 2020 or so. A few more years of uncertainly for speculators to see usd/eur are so 1999. Then Bitcoin can be the global currency.. for decades to come.

not soon, and not in my lifetime. Bitcoin has so many obstacles to overcome before it's regarded as a true currency. And we'll see if that happens, though I don't think chances are likely it's ever going to happen. I think something else will come along to replace the dollar. Maybe a zombie apocalypse.

As many people have said, bitcoin won't replace the dollar. S country likes to have control over their primary currency, and they can't really take money out of your cold wallet, can they?

Not soon, but during our lifetime for sure. In 10 to 20 years anyone holding 20 BTC will be rich. In 50 years elite. Dollar will be a piece of crap by then because trust on it will keep devaluating. You will have problems trying to convert them for BTC.

Its certainly possile, we dont even know bitcoin 10 years ago and look how much bitcoin affected our life. Now Im not saying that bitcoin will takeover USD or any Fiat currency for that matter, but I think it can co-exist in this near future.

Bitcoin will not replace dollar soon. At least not for the next 20 years. The user base of bitcoin is too small and governments will try their best to curb the usage of bitcoin.

Impossible with this volatiliy.
I mean, alright dollar is volalite too i know but; everyone in the world measures everything's value in dollars. Not anything else, not in gold, not in Euro's, not in gas... Only U.S. Dollars. USA rules the world.
Am I clear?

No, but they can create their own altcoins under the Bitcoin blockchain in sidechains, that's as close as it would get to Bitcoin replacing the dollar, but even in this case it would benefit Bitcoin itself greatly, the price would x10000000000.

bitcoin was released in 2009. bitcoin can become as a alternate currency, but it wont be able to replace dollar even after several decades, or more. bitcoin may become popular in near future but replacing legal currencies that wont happen.
