I think, it will take another 30 years until the dollar is completely replaced by a cryptocurrency. When it is time, however, not bitcoin will replace the dollar, but banks and governments will have their own cryptocurrencies (Example Deutsche Bank, UBS and several other finance institutes work on their own currencies since at least last year)
as the bitcoin currency is going very fast it has become a worldwide currency in a few days and will be more famous soon I do agree that bitcoin can replace dollar but it will take a large time like 15 year or more than that but still we are not so sure about the bitcoin price either it will happen or not we can just analyze it yet.

There is no hope of light of replacing dollar by the bitcoin very soon, though Bitcoin is becoming a credible and acceptable currency day by day but it is available at everywhere yet. So it requires a lot of time for spreading out everywhere. When it got available then it will become more acceptable across the world...
Lol, dollar is also replaced how you can say that it would be soon. But it has because bitcoin is now using everywhere around the world everyone know what is bitcoin and what is crypto currency. It is more useful. Now developers are demanding bitcoin instead dollars they know that it is increasing it would be more helpful in a future so we cannot say that it would replace but in real it has.

15 years? I think even in 30 years we will still be using paper. First Bitcoin has to become stronger and more stable.

15 years is already enough to see that there will be half of the total population of the world will be using bitcoin, crypto currencies and for sure digital currencies or will make transactions automated. I had to believe with it because the world government will have their own currency and will implement the usage of it.

Yeah. I agree with you. Replacing dollar is very hard and it will be a long path if bitcoin want to retake the place of dollar. Right now, there is only a few part of the world know about bitcoin and a small number of people know how to use it. Moreover, in some places, people do not have enough gadgets and technologies to learn about the computer science which is strongly related to bitcoin

It can't replace dollar, soon or lately. Dollar will maintain to dominate world economy. And nothing can avoid this.

If we are talking about years, 15 - 30 years is not enough, a century is needed before we talk about this. Bitcoin may be just a digital currency, but now, it is one of the most valued things that even surpassed Gold. The problem is it's volatility or the unstable price which makes many people doubt this digital currency. But as you've said, dollar will maintain and overpower bitcoin no matter what, bitcoin in its current state is not even a worthy competitor of dollar.

The answer is when all functions of government become privatized and for hire/contract only status, without any oversight. AKA we won't live to see it.

I don't think that Bitcoin will ever be able to replace dollar as dollar is accepted everywhere in this world and it is regarded as a global currency but Bitcoin is not that popular. Moreover Bitcoin transactions charge very high fees which makes the use of Bitcoin impossible for small transactions.
Yeah bitcoin will not replace the dollar or any currency. Bitcoin is just an option and certainly every country will never replace their local currency with bitcoin. Where bitcoin is out of their control, of course it will be impossible to apply

Yes it is a digital currency, but the word "replacing" is really difficult and unimaginable, Dollars is globally accepted currency and used a lot of countries for how their fist money is strong based in the equivalence of it to dollars, i think dollars is a standard currency, it might take a lot of years to build a trust globally on how bitcoin is credible and usable, it might take a long time but bitcoin is proving it's capability and its features, it might not replace dollars but it might overtake dollars as the most used global currency.

No its possible 10 years from now so you can see it ,it is possible to have a cashless society using only online money although it takes years to process but we can go with that like japan which use most of the money or transaction online.

I just don't see it happening soon, there are still people who are loyal and cannot adopt to changes that we are expecting.

If you are aware of the technology of QR codes, we can have our bitcoins through with it. And once we want something to buy we can just let the POS machines to scan our Qr codes and we can already pay it in instant. That's what I'm talking about replacement.

I wouldn't say it's impossible that bitcoin replaces the dollar / fiat currency, but it's extremely improbable and would take 50+ years. In the US, last year was the first year that more credit/debit superseded cash in volume. Progress takes a lot longer than most people expect, especially when changing a societal norm.
More importantly, governments will do everything in their power to prevent this from happening. The USD is the true crux of American hegemony.

USA is a big country and they will surely adopt the cashless society to improve their economic standing, but other countries especially the poor ones cannot follow this one because the rate of poverty is very big. We can see more payment system in the future but payment money will still remain to serve other people. USD is one of the most powerful currency and it cannot be replace by a decentralized currency which is bitcoin.

Firstly I was very confused about this Whether Bitcoin will replace or not, Many discussion and conclusion I have decided that Bitcoin will replace USD but it will take a lot of time to replace. Now slowly many countries are understanding that Bitcoin has lot future which can change the world.

15 years is too short a time for Bitcoin to do that. While the United States is developing, there is nothing that could make Bitcoin outstrip the dollar.

I'm not sure bitcoin can replace dollar soon, it takes at least more than 50% of world users, and it certainly takes a long time because until now base o data the user is not more than 1.5%.
