Bitcoin can not replace the dollar, because these are two different directions. Most likely they will exist complementing each other. It is more pertinent to wonder whether another bit of currency will replace bitcoin.
I am starting to believe now that bitcoin can replace dollar or any fiat/local currency has. It's very applicable because of the conspiracy theories that there will be one world government, new world order, one religion and there will be one currency. And on what's happening now we know that bitcoin is the one that can be used wherever you are. I think this is the problem that you're going to start having when you keep on reading conspiracy theories on the Internet. Conspiracy theories are out there but 99% of them aren't true and are just made up by someone who has the level of thinking as you. There might be articles that put an effort gathering hard facts but that doesn't mean their conspiracy theory is outright correct and is happening in the world. New world order might already be happening now (lol did I just created another conspiracy theory) and we don't know about it. You might feel enlightened about the idea of such but it doesn't really matter. What matters is that you're trying to do things that will make yourself better. I just went off topic for a second there but what I'm trying to say is that: just because there's a conspiracy about new world order, that doesn't prove anything at all. That doesn't increase or decrease the chance of bitcoin replacing dollar or any other currency. We only live in this world and this world has dollar has its best currency and people will continue on using it until one huge event or revelation has occurred. Whoever has thought of that conspiracy theory can't prove the theory itself, let alone use the theory to prove something else.

The dollar, the mystical cloth currency. There is no logical reason why this still exists. This has absolutely nothing to do with Bitcoin or cryptocurrency. As soon as almost every consumer in the United States had the ability to carry with them a debit card, and those debit cards have the ability to receive income based on paychecks, government payouts and even a transfer from a friend for no reason at all, then cloth or paper currency whatever you want to call it should have ceased to exist.

Until we can figure out exactly what it is that makes fiat currency in its physical form hold on so hard they were not going to be able to replace it with anything, although that's no reason at all to digital currencies like cryptocurrency and Bitcoin can exist side-by-side with it, just like debit cards, PayPal, Google pay and all the others.

I do not think bitcoin will replace dollar soon because bitcoin is still not popular to an average people or maybe to some people. Dollar is still in the market and it is most common to people. But if this continue that bitcoin will be used to most people, I believe that it might replace the dollar but not to erase the dollar. It might also happen but not very soon.
Well, I don't think bitcoin could replace dollar. However, everythings might happen. First, there are many is needed for bitcoin in order to replace dollar. I believe that btc could only compete and surpass dollar but not to make it disappear because dollar is being part of our daily transaction. Even how long bitcoin flows in our society, I think it is not enough reason to replace dollar. Because dollar is one of the famous cash in the world. Also, dollar or any paper money is part of our daily needed. Because they can use it everywhere and any time not like bitcoin that they can use it only for certain transactions.

No. It can't be. Bitcoin cannot replace the dollar. There is a big difference between digital currency and fiat currency. For my own knowledge, the digital currency cannot replace any of Fiat currency. Digital currency have not enough power to replace the Fiat.

No.It would take a long time.USD has been enjoying the position as global reserve currency for the past seventy years. Its easily accepted in all parts of the world. But bitcoin has just been creted eight years ago and it is also not universally accepted as payment every where. It would take more time for bitcoin to replace USD.

Yes bitcoin will replace a dollar soon but which bitcoin will become dominant is the question to answer. Though 'soon' is a relative term that means different things to different people, I think that it is absolutely possible for bitcoin to replace the dollar in 15 years. The US debt doubled in only 8 years to 20 Trillion dollars becoming insurmountable. In the same eight years 900 cryptocurrencies have come into existence so yes I am positive to bitcoin's future status.

I don't think so bitcoin is cryptocurrency if it will replace USD how come those people who is not using internet or literate enough to use bitcoin for their daily transactions? I believe bitcoin can became one of the major currency in the market, it's getting more popular now and there are more number of users added from time to time but to replace USD that would be impossible.

Nope its not, dollar will remain dollar and it wont replaced by any currency. Even bitcoin will be more popular it would be treat as other option for more people to used for transaction and agree that not all people can access and used it specially those people can not provide gadgets and internet connections.

I agree with you, bitcoin will probably have a bright future because bitcoin is known as a digital currency and a profitable commodity and although the future of bitcoin is bright, it will not make the dollar replaced by bitcoin. It is unlikely that a country will replace their local currency with foreign currency

Dollar is very stable and we can assure already of its future but bitcoin might succeed or failed as we do not really see what the future of bitcoin will be, there could be a big hindrance for its success and people will lose their interest to invest, everything is unseen so invest with caution.

One thing, person to person transaction. You can't risk having your credit card or debit card scanned by another stranger because they might be using a logger and get all the information of your card. People, in my country at least, only use cards for transacting at the mall. When having transaction with just another person (and not a company), they pay using paper money. Paper currency will not just cease right away. Like right now, in America people are using cards more and cash less. Eventually, everyone will be using cards and they would have a cashless society. Change don't happen overnight.

I don't think bitcoin will ever replace dollar soon, it might try to replace it probably in the near future if bitcoin would be of more value than dollars but it's most likely hard to tell if it is possible to happen and I don't think the government would allow it. But I am pretty sure bitcoin does have a very bright future ahead and I could even pass it on to my grandchildren the bitcoins and altcoins I've saved.

Bitcoin will replace the dollar in 15 years? No, I do not think so. Bitcoin is currently developing quite strongly, its value is very high, attracting many investors, business as well as being accepted in the service. However, I think it can not replace the dollar in the future, at least for 15 years. Still many people are unaware of Bitcoin, they still need dollars to pay normal fees in their daily lives, it is much more convenient than using Bitcoin. Dollar still plays an important role in the economy and I believe it will not be replaced

Let me clarify this statements you've been telling here about after 5 years bitcoin will replace dollar. Well that's not a possible idea since banking nowadays gathered more investors like stacking their saved money in the bank. If we come to a point that's a bitcoin replacement option, I think it's not a wise idea to replace bank with digital currency unless it became optional now. We can have a desired bitcoin bank which transactions will be optional online and offline system of banking.

In what essence? Bitcoin will replace dollar as what? Comparison of monetary value? I don’t know of Bitcoin will replace dollar soon but just in case I agree by making Bitcoin as the global currency. It’s been so long since USD has been influencing monetary values and foreign exchanges all over the world. I think it’s time to have a currency that has no influence of any country or institution. It’s unfair that a value of a certain currency should be compared and be influenced by another currency.
