Leverkusen still manage to be second place this season. Which means they are actually fighting to keep up, and with their financial situation getting better every year they are good like this, they will have a good chance to make the team better.

Remember, UCL is something they make a lot of money from, and Leverkusen didn't go to UCL every single season for a long time, they had a few times maybe but not in a consistent manner. Now that they are reaching this stage, if they can keep being in top four consistently then they are going to make so much more money. With that kind of money, they could buy better players and have better results, plus they could pay higher salaries for players to get better players as well.

Yes no doubt that Leverkusen played very well in Bundesliga but it is still hard for them to beat Bayern Munich who are usually best team. Because of this Leverkusen can not win any trophies this season. You thought they might win DFB Pokal especially since they were playing smaller team that was not doing very well. But Xabi and team did not take advantage of this chance missing many opportunities and ultimately losing. Now that they have lost they can not be able to win trophy.

Yes, Leverkusen's defeat in the DFB Pokal was truly their fault, both Xabi, who composed and managed his strategy and also his players who were unable to read the situation and could not be optimal. They even had a hard time breaking through Arminia's goal just like they had a hard time attacking Bayern Munich.

Xabi said that everything was good, it just didn't go according to plan. And in the end, they missed so many chances. 13 shots and 4 shots on target, but only 1 goal. And what is clear is, there were many individual mistakes, lost control of emotions and mentality, and I'm sure, there are still some players who underestimate their opponents so they were very shocked when Leverkusen failed to advance to the semi-finals.

If they were a little better they could have won the championship this year too.

Not only strengthening his players, but I think that Xabi might have to make some other strategies that they can apply to Leverkusen. Some coaches in Bundesliga have seen how Leverkusen played with great ball possession last season. Now they find a way to overcome Leverkusen's strategy. The joining of some strong new players can also change Leverkusen's game strategy. I hope they get them in the transfer market later and will be very happy if Leverkusen also becomes a competitor for Munich next season.

After the last season where Leverkusen was able to pull up a performance that was very uncommon with Leverkusen,  I believe most of the coaches in the Bundesliga in a bid not to allow them replicate that, got to study the team so well and how they were able to come up with that so this season it felt like they went out all in against Leverkusen but we must commend xabi, despite all of that he still  maintains the second position such that he's almost contending the first position too, so they are not doing so bad after all.  If Leverkusen becomes consistent with that which they are doing already,  I believe they will probably become strong contender with Munich and the likes of other top Bundesliga teams. For me am even surprised that they still manage to secure second place in the bundesliga title race because I was expecting most of the teams to have actually gotten used to their style of play and then maybe tackle them because they did something unbelievable last season and repeating such is the hardest task ever for any team so seeing them go head to head with Bayern is quite interesting too.

If you look back of all results and how Leverkusen has played the other Teams got used to there playing and thats why they even dont dominate the same the League as they have done it last Season.
What Leverkusen did last season was an uniqur thing i guess and yes it was unbelievable , but they are playing still good and the race about the title is still not over for now.
I would love to see them getting the title back again.

But isn't that normal? They had like 50+ game unbeaten streak last season, so you are saying they are not as good as a team that went 50+ games unbeaten? Isn't that normal for a team to be not that great? After all last season was a big deal and I understand that not being all that much important but we are not looking into this as a big difference, because they shouldn't be able to do what they did last season normally, that was an incredible season and should not be expected from any team.

Hell, 10+ year champions Bayern Munich didn't do a 50+ game winning streak as far as I know, so that shows you what they did last year was insane. What they are doing this season is a bit more normal, a few wins here and there would have made them winners, it's a normal season for them, not "bad", it's quite good.

Yes and I don't think they can still close the gap enough to get a chance at winning the title, but maybe Bayern needs to give some players a pause or injuries come into effect like now when Musiala is injured. He will be missing for around eight weeks as he suffered from a severe muscular injury. For Leverkusen, although this sounds bad, it is a bit of good news because that will raise the pressure for Bayern and they would never want to risk to lose in the Champions League as the final will be in their home stadium. There is nothing more they can hope and fight for than playing a final in their own stadium.

The position for Dortmund is complicated and they have to play against Bayern with their strongest team as they need to qualify for the Champions League. Will the resurgent form that Borrisia Dortmund is having in their recent matches I don't think that it will be a difficult thing for Borrisia Dortmund not to make it to the champions League next season it's true that the top five competition is very tough I see Dortmund making it to the champions League next season because they have started winning matches.

Borussia Dortmund football team played last match against SC Freiburg football team and that team won the match one sided because that team did 4 goals in this match and that team opponent could do only 1 goal in this match. SC Freiburg team players could not play with full momentum and they lost momentum and that was the reason they lost this match in the end. Adeyemi was a person who did first goal of the match and he did goal in the first half and after this goal, he did goal at 51 minutes of the match and third goal did by Guirassy and he did goal at 68 minutes of the match. Maintaining second place in the standings after being able to become champions in the Bundesliga last season is definitely a good effort for Leverkusen because in terms of becoming champions in a row it is always not easy for any team because it always requires maximum effort. I also see Leverkusen trying very hard this season even though it is not certain to become champions because there are still points gaps to be made, but for this season I also salute Munich's efforts with their new coach.

Dortmund is one team that doesn't buy player too often else I want to being  they would  have been able to fix the issue of their defence currently,  even teams good strikers they have been known for all theses years were groomed by them before selling  them off, so for Dortmund they would prefer more to groom players and sell than they would buy, let's hope they will be able to nurture the kind of players they can get for their defence this period so they will not have to continue with the struggle in their defence,  I believe if Tey eventually qualify for the europa it will not be a disaster,  they have always tried to do better away from their regular performance in their domestic league.
