new to the thread. two questions:

1.) Whats the deal with coins that were NOT stolen, ie many alt coins. What are the chances on getting those back? Why didn't he open all wallets...

2.) Do I need to do anything to help get some coins back, if ever? I emailed this site: http://silverlaw.com/media/news-releases/silver-law-group-files-class-action-lawsuit-cryptsy-principal-paul-big-vern-vernon/

what else should i do? thks

3.) Wave goodbye to your funds

Cheers Jon Sad

Are the alt coins that were not stolen just going to sit there forever? if there are coins that are not stolen and just sitting there, can't a judge order wallets to be re-opened so users can withdraw their funds.

Why should you get all of your funds back and someone who had a different type get nothing?

If this goes to court everything will be sold so everyone can get something back.

In reality, all the coins were stolen, by cryptsy, so you won't get anything back.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Thanks for the info. Can I put my name on the Class Action lawsuit still ?

Sure, as long as you meet the guidelines:

Quote
“All Cryptsy account owners who deposited Bitcoins, alternative cryptocurrencies, or any other form of monies or currency at Cryptsy and have been denied access to their accounts and funds between November 1, 2015 and the present date.”

If you were denied prior to the first of November, then sorry, Charlie!

Okay, I do fit the guidelines. Do you have a link for me to input my information for the class action lawsuit? thanks again for your help!

I think the form on this page should suffice: http://silverlaw.com/media/news-releases/silver-law-group-files-class-action-lawsuit-cryptsy-principal-paul-big-vern-vernon/

Judge will most likely order the company be placed into receivership.

More and more incriminating evidences are revealing - on 3rd.March through 3 transactions P.Vernon sent 1.1 BTC from Cryptsy wallet to Bittrex address - 1G1QMXNCsyVAMiuXxHkzs3FrX3QGiXfUg9

What is interesting is that this address was first time seen 2 weeks(on 15th.Aug.2014) after alleged Cryptsy theft

All incoming txs to the address 1G1QMXNCsyVAMiuXxHkzs3FrX3QGiXfUg9 are from Mintpal,Bittrex,BTER and Cryptsy

Few days after Cryptsy theft, from new DASH wallet on Cryptsy numerous big DASH transactions started to go on Mintpal and first few incoming BTC transactions to this address are also from Mintpal. But it seems that he did not sell DASH on time, because few days after it Mintpal owner took all BTC and other valuable coins and run away. After that Bittrex is coming in play and as we know today all stolen altcoins, except LTC were sold on Bittrex and BTER.

This address was very active until 6th.November.2014 - the date when all stolen XC and BTCD were finally sold on Bittrex and others on BTER.From then until now it was pretty dormant.

1G1QMXNCsyVAMiuXxHkzs3FrX3QGiXfUg9 also received BTCs directly from Cryptsy old hot wallet, something that ordinary Cryptsy members could not do,because direct BTC transactions from old hot wallet to the outer(non-Cryptsy) addresses had to be approved by P.Vernon himself.

In total 548.9 BTC came to this address 1G1QMXNCsyVAMiuXxHkzs3FrX3QGiXfUg9 and it was used to launder BTC,because every exchange does not held BTC on your deposit address, but they use it to distribute BTC withdrawals to other users.

One thing should be noted too - P.Vernon opened Bitebi9 on 28.July.2015(exactly 1 year after theft) and only after all LTCs(last remaining from stolen altcoins) were sold in July big LTC pump.Obviously he needed time and peace to sell such a lot of altcoins. So he conviently hide the truth what is going on Cryptsy, because stolen altcoins can be easily tracked and their sell prevented if the truth was revealed on time. When he did it all and secure his position in China,he shutdown Cryptsy auto-pilot and Cryptsy started to fall very fast.

Trusting monies to a business where the leader goes by "Big Vern" should always be a concern, but I also did it anyways.

Me too. I ignored the warning signs. So far I got caught with Mintpal (got my coins out). Gox, ($100) and now Cryptsy, .6 BTC and more in coin.

No one to blame but myself Sad

Paycoin Garza era was my first big burn before Big Vern. I bought into hashlets and hashpoints hook, line and sinker.

At the onset of the Garza era I phoned and spoke with one of his partners in Hattiesburg, MS, a town that I'm quite familiar with. I asked him how longed he lived there (was setting a trap) and he said most his life. He supposedly owned one of the buildings where GAW was to host some miners. I asked him if that building suffered any damage when the tornado went through. He asked me what tornado. I told him the one that went pass his building no more than two blocks away. Pause (I envisioning him Googling). Oh, that tornado. No, no damage to the building. I was lucky, he said (virtually exact words).

So, how's everyone's investment (that we'll never see) doing on Cryptsy? Assuming your balance of any given coin, when they stopped trading vrs today?

I'd be up .4 or .5 BTC Smiley

No, I have not logged in for sometime. DickShock banned me for posting the cost of rent for the condo Horus was living in payed by Cryptsy.
