^^ Still a surprised though that Alcaraz was booted out by Korda, but the match was intense and I thought that Alcaraz can survived this round. But Korda can't be deny though.

Korda vs Fritz current match, score is 6-5 Fritz but Korda is serving next. Another good match I reckon, could be another Over score.

Another one is Ruud vs Dimitrov - Dimitrov leading 5-3.

Yea well I had Ruud to win this one also so not a good pick on that match.

Fritz had a tough win against Korda in two sets 77-64 and 7-5, I didnt
bet on that one, I figured it would be too close either way.

Interesting match coming up shortly Carreno Busta v Zverev, I have Zverev
to win this.

There have been some surprises recently, yes, I didn't see this one coming - although Korda is a very good player and is quite under-rated.
I didn't anticipate Djokovic losing, either - even a rusty Djokovic should still beat just about anyone put in front of him.

That is still probably true. I think he would have won that first match against majority of players in the draw and that he would have been better with each match. He had bad luck to play against Fokina, who is in a good form and who wanted that win against Djoko more than anything. I have never seen a player working that hard on every point in the match. Not even in the grand slam finals.

Would not be surprised if Fokina takes the title here. He showed more than any other player I watched so far. Did not see Zverev so far and I believe I watched at least some games from other players.

Experience is still a big factor in tennis and i think he is really missing it. He won a big tournament and came to the next big one and lost in the first round. That is dissapointing,we see this always in women tennis but not always in mens tennis. Also i think he even didnt prepare much for the clay season

Yes, usually we seen this in the women's side, but maybe Alcaraz body is not yet prime for this kind of grueling tennis run specially in clay season.

Still lot of tennis in Monte Carlo.

Fokina's run is still continuing as he will be facing Fritz in the quarterfinals.

This one is good, Sinner vs Zverev and Tsitsipas vs Schwartzman.

Ah we have seen this type of performance before, last year it happened with Tsitsipas
and with Sinner. Look also at Ruud who is out also. I recon its hard to continue performing
at a top level without the body and mind having a break.

Does anyone know who has the longest consecutive run of wins?

Does anyone know who has the longest consecutive run of wins?

The answer is quite dull, and not particularly surprising. All of the usual suspects are in there. Plus Thomas Muster! I know he was good, particularly on clay, but that winning streak comes as a bit of a surprise.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/276898/longest-winning-streaks-in-professional-tennis/

There's a bit more info about the stories behind each winning streak here, which also includes some pre-1990 data.

I will be betting on the Over again for the Fokina match against Fritz, Over 22.5 at 1.89.

And then on the Zverev vs Sinner, maybe I will go with the underdog Sinner 2.6 ML.

Tsitsipas vs Schwartzman - Over 21.5 at 1.86.

That's quite a good one, actually. I think Zverev has been below his usual standards, and Sinner is rising fast and is still under-rated. Those are decent odds for Sinner to win, in what would not be a huge upset at all.
They have played each other once before on clay, at Roland Garros in 2020... which Sinner won in 4 sets.

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, Zverev is just playing below par but Sinner is slowly getting into the rhythm and there is a possibility of a upset (in terms of the odds for Sinner).

And if this goes to a 3 set then an over bet is also good.

Or if Zverev win this match, Sinner could at least get one game here.

Yes that statistic is controlled by 6 players, Djokovic features a lot, no surprise
there, nice to see Andy Murray in the mix and Pete Sampras but I dont recall
Thomas Muster.

Tricky match to call between Zverev and Sinner, Sinner to win a set could be a good bet.

And the same for Tsitsipas to win a set against Swartzman

^^ Still a surprised though that Alcaraz was booted out by Korda, but the match was intense and I thought that Alcaraz can survived this round. But Korda can't be deny though.
...

they both played a high intensity match and in the first two sets they always went to play tie break.
Personally I believe that Alcaraz young age is still evident.
Against savvy or more experienced players it is not the first time that he has struggled to impose himself, just matter of time to see him dominate the field Roll Eyes !?

I might tail on the the Tsitsipas match, I'm seeing Schwartzman pushing Tsitsipas here.

Fokina winner against Fritz, and it was a 3 setter so the over is a win, good job. Fokina losing the first 1st set but come back strong in the last 2 sets to steal a win again.

Dimitrov vs Hurkacz, no bet for me in this game, but by the looks of it, this is close and could go on a 3 sets as well.

Zverev and Sinner are going the distance here. We have a tie break in third set and it is coin toss who will win.

After a nice morning ticket I skipped mid day matches and now I have placed a bet on Tsitsipas -3.5. Did not watch him yet but I had a lot of bets on Schwartzman in this tournament and I feel like he is not performing really well. Maybe I'll pay for that call and it is a bit of rude to go against the player who won you a couple of tickets but this one is a gut call and i have some extra cash from ridding that Fokina train. As I said he is my favorite for the title here and I am milking it while I can.

Only clay meeting between Tsitsi and Schwartzman ended with Schwartcman barely getting on result table and that one I watched.

Really good match between Zverev and Sinner but Zverev takes the win and just won a really hard match against Sinner.
Also your bet on Tsitsipas will be won if Tsiptsipas wins the last set and he is currently serving to win the match so that is a good call

I might tail on the the Tsitsipas match, I'm seeing Schwartzman pushing Tsitsipas here.

that was a crazy match between the two of them, Tsitsipas managed to win after losing the first set and be down 5-2 in the 2nd one, crazy tennis was played in that match i really enjoyed watching it and the hype was crazy, but i still don't think Tsitsipas will manage to win Monte Carlo again this year, he has to go through Zverev, which is a tough one for him and i am leaning more towards Sacha to win in their match against each other.

I had him on 2 separate tickets and i must admit I cashed out one of them when momentum change started. Did not expect him to win the match after loosing 2nd set. He looked really bad in those moments.

I am thinking over games is the bet to go for today in his clash with Zverev. They always play long matches and both are prone to spells of incredible and then spells of bad play.

And then on the Zverev vs Sinner, maybe I will go with the underdog Sinner 2.6 ML.

Almost mate, Sinner won the first match and then Zverev the second.

It comes down to the third wherein it goes to the tie-break.

So 2/3 for me, won the other two matches as I have bet on the Over points.

Semi-finals, Zverev vs Tsitsipas and then we have Fokina vs Dimitrov. I'll go Under 23.5 on the Zverev vs Tsitsipas and then Over 22.5 between Fokina and Dimitrov.

The same situation I have seen with Alcaraz here in Montecarlo I also see here with Sinner... the lack of experience during the key events of a match or tournament.
both are certainly growing their capabilities and they are reaching to be top players who regularly win even difficulty games...
