Yes, Anthony Davis is indeed an important player and the key to the team's success. We already saw their situation when he wasn't around for the team and as long as Anthony Davis will remain healthy, the Lakers really got a decent shot to grab their own seat on the playoffs this season. In his last 10 games alone, he looks like he was carrying the team on his back gathering humungous points per game, and earlier he again scored 55 points and 17 rebs as they finished the Wizards on the road.

Yep, sometimes I realize, AD had a relevant improvement, but he is far from his prime when he played for Kentucky and Pelicans for example.
I still speculate if the Lakers keep up with this good performance I have no doubt they managed, they will reach the playoffs easily, but only the time will be able to answer that.

There's no easy way for them to get into the playoffs even if they perform better even though they are in good shape right now and AD is a beast recently still no guarantee for them to place on playoffs automatically. Remember many teams are so strong and also AD is injury prone so they need to be consistent and healthy so that they can reach their target and will not get another big upset on their careers.

Truth is, not only the Lakers but all the teams in the league are not going to have an easy path towards the qualifiers and playoffs. Even the ones who are sitting on the 1st and 2nd seed on both conferences are not yet guaranteed to have a seat in the next phase. They all need to be consistent and healthy to get themselves a place on the playoffs, a serious injury from any given players especially the stars on any given team along the way may alter the team's course heavily.

So far, so good. Let's just enjoy the games now while things are still interesting enough and its unpredictability makes me want to see the games every day.

Yes, it does change weekly and it will be an unpredictable season on who will be on the top of that ladder.
I am rooting for Luka Doncic to claim it, I am super amazed at how skillful he is and how he can handle everything, from offense to being the playmaker of the team. Although that will be a little biased since I am a fan of his.  
But Tatum seems to be not backing down yet who now averages at 30 ppg, the rebounding category will make a big difference as Luka gets more rebound every game.

I imagine that this season the Lakers are performing better than the previous season and therefore I imagine that they may have a great chance of reaching the playoffs in  this season.
As I said in a previous post, it will be necessary to wait and see what will actually happen.
With the Lakers roster, I believe, LeBron James, AD, Beverley and Westbrook will be an important key for the Lakers, because I have no doubt that they are good players, but they have a lot of experience, mainly LJ, and experience could be a crucial factor for the Lakers during the playoffs (of course, if they reach that step)

But the problem is they are planning to trade Westbrook and Beverly so I guess this will cause a huge trouble to them. Maybe they should stop the trading discussion since this could destroy the focus of their players and maybe they need to develop what currently they have since this is strong team already. The main problem of Lakers is they are impatient to wait for improvements as they want instant result on their campaign.

It seems that the Phoenix Suns still have that Luka Special effect in them, that every time they will play the Dallas Mavericks, it seems that every time the Dallas Mavericks has a match with the Phoenix Suns it is consistent if not close game the Dallas Mavericks would win the game, or maybe Luka Doncic is still getting very personal from what the Suns have said to him, I really think it that way,

Surely the level of competition is really widening right now, the Utah Jazz has a great start at the beginning of the season, but with a little buff on their team chemistry there would likely make a great team that can pull hard matches for the other teams, the Portland Trail Blazers can make a game for every team a living hell because of Jerami Grant, and Anfernee Simons, and with the Addition of Tyrese Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin, and Andrew Nembhard did make the Pacers a solid team, I am saying that with the addition of key players to the teams it is pretty much a different competition and pretty much it is now harder to predict most of the games because right now the old is gone and the breakthrough of some players has proven the NBA is shifting into a new era,


On the news, that I just recently saw, Marcin Gortat a retired NBA polish player last game was on 2019 with the Los Angeles Clippers, he recently have an event of basketball where the players would be a well-known polish celebrity and Jan Blachowicz played on that event, this is for the fans and all money they can get will go to charity,

As for the Jazz, they aren't really doing good and they are about to jeopardize their chance to be in the NBA playoffs this season. Imagine how they failed to maintain their spot for just a week, getting knockout from the playoff tree because of losing streaks.

You're right. The Jazz's performance has been really awful lately, considering they've only won 3 of their last 10 games. However, it's worth noting that the Jazz is still in 7th place in the Western Conference standings, and it means that if the Jazz's head coach finds a way to improve the performance of the players, the Jazz will still have a chance to reach the playoffs since the end of the regular season is still a long way off.

It was fools gold they were never destined to be a top team just had a hot start.  They are stacking draft picks so I'm sure they like to see them end up in the lottery.  This team going to the playoffs does nothing but ensure mediocrity.  They gave up once they parted with gobert and spida.

Safe to say that they just got lucky to be sitting at the top of the conference when almost every team in the league are still struggling and adjusting or taking their time while the season have just started. But now that teams are starting to get their sense, their rank dropped in just a week which is not that surprising because they are not that deep enough to compete with the heavy teams on the league. In time, when they reached the right depth and know each other's strengths and weakness, they will be a heavy time just like how the Boston Celtics started.

If they will continue to develop these young talents and they will not be part of any trading actions, Jazz can be an interesting team to watch out,
they are now falling from the standing since heavy favorite teams are now catching up.

We know that once those super-teams start to improve their offensive and defensive attacks, the chance of winning is high, maybe for now Jazz
chance to the playoff still alive,

but in terms of reaching semis it might be tough for them, but who knows?

Yes, it's not yet decided if they cannot really qualify towards the semis or playoffs. Sometimes, there are things that will happen unexpectedly, let's enjoy the season and see if the newly rebuilt Jazz can reach that far. What is good is that we already know their capabilities, they will take advantage while the opposing team are showing some weakness. Moreover, if they can't make it this season, they're still good because next season they will be back with more experience and their bond is much deeper than the recent season.

Lakers have been doing pretty well in their latest games in the regular season. They have got many wins recently and this is keeping them close to the playoff area. If they keep up this form they can surely have a better season than the previous one. There are still so many games to be played as we aren't even in the middle of the season yet.

I just hope to see the team effort getting better in time. It is not good to see them being too dependent Lebron most of the time. Of course he is still a superstar who is showing great performances. But this mustn't mean that the other players should always have an eye on him. This is likely to decrease the quality of their attacks.

Right, last year they started strong if my memory serves me right but then when Lebron got injured, that's where the problem started, series of losses and it's too late to overcome as they fall down on the standings.

And then the WB criticism started which I think really affected him and the team so the losses became desperation for them.

At least for now, they have started to win games this early and should be attempting to break into the playoff berth before the second half of the season.

I believe the win-loss record of a team also plays a vital role in getting top votes in the MVP race. If Luka wants to become MVP, he needs the Mavericks to finish a minimum top 5 in the west. Secondly, Dallas needs to do a better job surrounding him with better players as well, this kid has been around for just a few years now, and already playing like he would win a championship if you just put the right pieces around him, and that is a big deal, not many people can do that, not at that age at least. He should be given a bit of talent around him, maybe another star, so that he could win the title and his talents wouldn't go to waste.

Another star who knows how to adjust and will be willing to serve as backup for Luka. I mean a go-to guy who is willing to sacrifice
stats to win alongside with Luka.

Yeah, I think it's more of a mind games between the two and so far Luka has the advantage against the Suns. I think the memory of last years playoff between the two is still fresh and the Phoenix can't shake of the memory of Luka just toying with them in that series as they can't stop him.

Perhaps him being the assistant coach has really help him a lot now because he knows the system that Ime built and probably just putting finishing touches on it with his own style. But now same team, and almost same system, that's why Celtics are booming.
