“The Dallas Mavericks are going to be at the head of the line in pursuing Giannis. They want to have a third star. They want to keep their books clear for 2021, I wouldn’t expect them to add any major free agents this year. They’re going to wait.” Windhorst reported
https://www.thesportsrush.com/nba-news-dallas-mavericks-leading-the-way-to-sign-giannis-antetokounmpo-bucks-star-could-join-forces-with-luka-doncic/

This will really be a huge trio of indeed they get Giannis on the team, I think this will come into reality especially if Mark Cuban do made a great and tempting deal to Giannis. Any thoughts?
Seeing Giannis unfollowing his teammates after an upset loss makes me think that he is really into getting the ring and not the money that being offered to him. Giannis wants the ring as early as he can and so Luka does too, so if there will be an offer for Giannis to join the Mavs I doubt he will put it on the last of his list. If I'm Giannis I'll definitely join Luka or Irvin in a team securing some spots for the next season playoffs.

There is no "loyalty" to staying with just one team for your whole career, if that team is good enough that you can win some titles with them, that means you can definitely stay with that team forever, as long as they are good, but if they are not good and you can't win a ring with them, leaving makes sense. Kobe stayed because in just few years dude went on a three peat with shaq, then he kept grinding for few more years and had a back to back, Tim Duncan? Had 5 in 20 years, Nowitzki? Had 1 at least but another finals in 2006.

So, as long as the team is good you can stay, but if the team sucks, there is no reason why Giannis shouldn't leave, go find a team that would be beast with you, join them if they can pay you, get few rings and do whatever you want later on.

Actually, as the Mavericks, also claimed, the cap isn't an issue and they can entertain the Greek Freek.

However, that will make the Mavericks limit their moves this off-season and they are force not to market any "Big Name" or on "All-Star level" to pursue with the plan to catch Giannis in his free agency. Still, not a problem though as there are lots of underrated role players they can consider to be signed or just don't make any move for now.

I'm with the idea of that possible signing as a long fan of Dallas Mavericks but my concern is, I doubt KP can stay healthy throughout the season. That means the future big trio won't utilize that much. I just hope (just in case this deal will be done) they will stay all healthy in the playoffs.

P.S. For Bucks fans, no need to worry as Giannis will play the whole next season on Bucks jersey. He will become a free agent after that season and his decision will be based on how far the Bucks will end up next season. Bucks need to make a move to surround Giannis with much good role players if they want to keep him in the future.

That's really the problem with KP, he is not consistent, but if they have Giannis in their line up, I think Luka and Giannis is enough to make the Dallas Mavericks a good team to battle the best teams in the West which only the hardest battle for every team.

If they will become a champion in the West, they'll likely be a champion in the NBA Finals, 90%.

Buck have already offered Giannis a maximum salary, but not sure if he can get good role players than the current teammates, I guess the problem of Bucks is the coaching.

That's the problem with Bucks. They all did was to offer him a max salary.

If Giannis wants to make money, I'm sure he will stick to the team. But if some team can match the salary while at the same time, he will have good teammates on the transferred team, I'm sure he won't hesitate to accept it.

Giannis wants to fully use his prime and the championship should be achieved as early as possible.

Indeed.
The injury was a bad sign.
Also, teams in the East are getting stronger. Bucks management really needs to do something about their roster.
Maximizing his strength while he is still young is the priority but that doesn't mean he doesn't need good roleplayers.

Fill it up with shooters. Try to train Giannis to pass accurately even with an attempt to force an attack on the paint.
There is still so much room for improvement for that big guy.

Giannis isn't really a top pick player in the NBA draft so there was no hype from him, he just improve because of the current team he is playing and their style of play, so I don't expect him to be greats like Lebron James and Kobe Bryant, if Lebron gave up Cleveland to joined the best players in the NBA to game a championship, I think Giannis would do if he really want to have one.

I'm not a fan of Mavericks but I can say that the franchise has changed when they got Luka in the roster and include KP too on it.
Now regarding on signing Giannis and the health of KP, if Giannis will truly go to Dallas I think he and Luka can carry the whole team like what LeBron and AD did to LA. What they only need is just a good back up team that will support them every game. I'm not concern of KP's health though since the Mavericks have many bigs (Boban, Powell, Kleba). Giannis-Luka duo seems good to me Cheesy.

P.S. For Bucks fans, no need to worry as Giannis will play the whole next season on Bucks jersey. Yes he still has one more year to play with the Bucks.
They choked twice already against the Raptors and against the Heat. What Bucks need right now is a legitimate all-star player that will help Giannis if they really want to win a title next year. Trade some of the old players in Bucks already and get some young players that has potential. If they will not change their roster for the next season, there is a high chance that he will totally leave the team.

Every team needs to do it anyway, the East side are full of competition now, there's no such dominating anymore,

if Bucks wants to win it up they needed to surround Giannis with players who can help him not just by playing but also mentoring him.

Giannis is a package deal in terms of individualities but the game is for 5 players even you have
one dominating without the help of the other 4, you can's still win the game.

Bring him teammates who can stand up, someone who can lift him when he's in need so whenever he's struggling or the opponents already got something to stop him, another sets of players will be there to produce for the team.

I would not agree to compare Giannis to MJ as he does not have the same talent as MJ, Giannis could be huge in producing numbers but this guys has no winning mentality. Sorry, I'm not a hater, I just don't see him develop of a player like MJ, not even LBJ or Kobe.

And that's what separates the greats like MJ or even Kobe with the current breed of great players notably Giannis or even James Harden. They always produce great numbers in regular season, but always felt short when it comes to big games.

It seems that the Bucks has the perfect pieces, they didn't change a lot from last year because they know they just have that mentality, but still with Giannis as franchise player, failed to deliver the good for the Bucks. Not saying that its his fault, but by now he should have develop a tougher mentality and have that winner attitude so he can be on another level.

He was an MVP for two straight season, getting an early exit in the playoffs would not help to boost his confidence.

If I were him, I would choose a team that could give a better chance of winning, the time of experiment is already over, and he has proven himself that he cannot carry his team in the playoffs, he need someone to him him, go pair with the popular now, Butler, or even join the GSW and dominate the East, for sure Giannis would be a great player as Warriors coaching is different from Bucks.

Giannis is such an awesome players he is one of the player whom James can give the baton as a superstar in the league and I agree on two things that he needs a strong back up support or he needs to be in a strong team just like what Lebron has been doing he now is the only players to have won three championship in three teams and those three teams, he has a good back up support.

If a team wants to get Giannis, they'll attach him with good supporting players and they have to buy out the contract of Giannis.

There might be teams that want to take him to their teams and would be willing to buy out his contract from Bucks but, it's also up to him.

I've been scrolling in Facebook today and I've seen this post about Giannis.

It is said to be a rumour about Giannis that might sign to Miami Heat. It is been a talk in the past here in the forum and after the playoffs, when Miami eliminated Bucks, he said that he will be staying. But then again, this rumour is alive again. I don't want this to happen and what I don't like more is that they are comparing him to KD, KD taking the heat while AD is safe? What are take on this?

It's a rumor, no reliable source, and though Giannis said he will stay with the team, that still doesn't guarantee that he will as he could change his mind as he become free agent. Great players now are looking for championship, if he stays, he can satisfy himself with the money he will get as he'll be getting a maximum salary but having a ring, that's unlikely with the current squad and coaching staff.

Come on, Giannis is only 25 years old, and he has enough time for experiments. Anyway, I think that he won't feel comfortable to share the team leader position with Curry, Thompson, Green. So, Warriors wouldn't be a good solution for him.

IIRC, I think that was two season where their experiment has failed, 25 years old is still young but he should make a decision early as we never know what could happen in the future, you know injury is still possible for this young talent as he is very aggressive in the floor.

He could stay with the Bucks but his voice needs to be heard too.
Talk about rebuilding the team.
I think what Lebron did was a good example. Now he got another championship.
He has a goal and he talked with the Lakers management about it. Taking out the young talents and putting veterans who have the same goal as him.

Giannis can do that now. I bet the Bucks management don't want to lose him just yet.
