Weird. If that's the case then there's no team is interested in him? Or Sixers just needs a much bigger deal since that Simmons.
It's the big deal that they want if you consider how Daryl Morey does his things. i.e. Harden, CP3 (Houston Rockets years) He was even called the King of Transactions. Sixers need to think twice. Several potential first-round picks will do. It's not healthy anymore for Simmons to stay with the Sixers.
They are patient and I think they are trying to marinate the idea of a trade that will make other teams surrender one of their top players in exchange for Ben Simmons. They don't want to waste the opportunity of a large scale trade and that means an eye for an eye but in this case a star for a star trade. Now the problem, who are the star players that are still available for a trade and it should be in the guard position because that is the hole the 76ers need to fill.

Maybe Sixers already received a good trade proposal that's only good on our views but not on them. Likely, they are expecting a superstar level to land on the team in exchange for Ben Simmons but no offer until now but only receiving All-Star levels or a package that is composed of 2-3 players. Sixers have to make it rush since it may come up to the point that no teams will give much more decent offers compare to the current ones. Hard to speculate this as no reports or leaks about some trade proposals involving him.

I don't think he'll fulfill that, it's just a warning I guess that he doesn't want it and besides it's a bad move for the Nets if they do. I mean, are they on their right mind for this? Kyrie got good stat on the Nets from the past season and if he wasn't get injured along with Harden they might be the one on that Finals appearance.

I think that trade is not possible to happen. Irving will stay and play with the Nets for the next season. He is just creating drams like before.
Moving forward to Sixers, it's no secret plan already that Simmons will be traded in the future instead of Joel Embiid. Prior the start of Season 2020-21, Sixers made it clear (I'm sure I read it elsewhere and share it here) that it was the season we might see the final Simmons-Embiid duo.
Still no news for the future of Ben Simmons but I'm sure he will play at the different jersey next season.
This season or next season? How can he play now if he won't even answer 76ers management and players' calls? The kid is being hard-headed to be traded to the extent of even paying up millions of dollars missing the training camp. Something bad is going on inside their management and they cannot control Ben anymore. GM won't jeopardize the team's chance for a championship just because of that. 30+ million in salary cap is a large amount and they could find help from a good player with that. I found one rumor that 76ers would rather take Rubio for Ben than Kevin Love if ever they will trade with the Cavs. Yes, Ben Simmons is acting unprofessionally. Cutting communications with the team and his teammates is crazy and sh*t. He should settle properly those problems with the Sixers management. He is not even a superstar-level player to consider acting like that. To get rid of Simmons is the key to somehow make the Sixers be better, at least. Up to this point, they still can't find a suitable deal. The Sixers "Trust the Process" rally is not progressing after 7 to 8 years since it was made. It needs to be changed.

Yeah, I do agree that Sixers need to pull the trigger before it's too late, before their season deteriorate before it even started. We know it's really hard to make decisions regarding Ben because maybe they wanted a star player in exchange of him and other future draft picks. But if they don't make their move before the season stars and he is still with the team, this could lead to negativity amongst the player. I agree with @harizen, "Trust the Process" is not working, some things will need to change.

I think their best achievement is when they reached the Eastern Conference Finals against the Toronto Raptors in 2019. Almost a Finals appearance as that series reached Game 7. Chance also to become a champion as Golden State Warriors is full of injured players that Finals. But Sixers is not silent during the trust the process years as there's always a change in their roster and coaching staff. The best part of their process is when they signed Jimmy Butler but not utilized and ended up trading to other team.

^^, Yup, that the farthest they got with, unfortunately, Kawhi ended their dreams. And the next year, we hope that they can get over that hump, but Joel got injured, and then Simmons choking against the Hawks. So we can say that the process is no longer there, or the Joel-Ben tandem is about to end now. And now they have to start with stage 2, Joel-??? and see what kind of achievement they will get.

About CP3, the time for him is really short as we look for these current rosters from different teams. Then age also will hurt him together with those old and possible injuries, it's going to be a tough road for CP3 to win a ring.
While with Melo, with the strong cast that surrounds him, it will be much brighter for him to win now, though if not, he will completely lose that chance to win one before his retirement.
I'm going to add Harden here as he also has a better chance to win his first NBA title, the only one that left to complete his resume.
Answering this question from a few days ago.... So, I still believe CP3 could still win his ring before he retires. In these NBA playoffs we've had, we can see CP3's ability to guide the team to victory, even though he got injured in some playoffs, he was able to guide the Suns to the NBA Finals. About Harden, I believe he will still have great chances to be champion, he is still young, amazingly enough, James Harden is still a good player, he in his prime is still superior to CP3 or Melo both in his prime ( of course this is my opinion)

Nets should just pull the trigger to end this quickly if they really want him out but it sounds stupid to let Irving go at this point when the league is about to start. They should know by now the importance of a deep roster since they were eliminated last season because of injuries.
And team chemistry as well. If they kept him on their roster, there could be some friction in the locker room or if Irving keeps going into the public with his issues with the management, maybe sooner or later someone will step up and tell Irving that he might take it negatively. So it's better for them to start the season not just healthy but have a positive attitude towards winning a champion because that is their main goal. No need for some distractions and drama around. True. That is why going public with the trade plan now is plain stupid to me if they are only fishing for potential teams that will be interested. They should have done it earlier if he was really a problem to the management or just waited for the next transfer window. I'm imagining what it could have been if they pushed for an Irving - CP3 trade before he signed a new deal.

That's the reason why they cannot get the perfect blend they want since they choose to trade their solid rooster while the fact is they didn't tested well last season, if they choose to retain Irving and try to run again with their current line up with Harden and Durant then most provably they will get a better chance since they already know how to run with this guys around. But of they choose to drop irving in exchange with other player then they are back at rebuilding stage even if they still have two stars left.

Talent-wise Irving is really good, however, he can be a problem if he cannot blend with his teammates. For a team to succeed, one should have respect over other people and it seems like Irving is not that kind of a player that's why the management wants to dump him through trade.

It could be, but if Irving is going to be trade, for sure they will get a superstar that is willing to adjust or have the experience already. So there's no rebuilding stage, just some adjustments and they are good to go the finals and then hopefully the finals next season. So let's see what is the management decision, or maybe we will see a different version of Irving because he doesn't want to lose or be drop by a team that gives him a good multi million dollar salary and to work with two of the best offensive players we have right now.

Question is, what team would be interested in Irving? The rumor is Simmons is interested, and I think it's good because they need to improve their defense, but I just thought of this, what if they will need a PG, I mean a real PG, and the Blazers would be willing to trade Lillard for Irving, will the Nets accept him?

What happens when a team just... waives a player with a mutual agreement? I have heard buyouts and all, and I have heard waived players, but I have never heard agreeing with a player to not pay his salary and let them go. I believe if Sixers let Simmons go, then Simmons can go to any team he wants and Sixers would literally be better off without him even if they get nothing in return.
Or just get something very little from some team, any offer would do. However Morey just doesn't do "any offer", last I heard he even called to ask if Dame was available to see if Portland would take simmons in exchange for Dame. Management doesn't want Simmons, but they are not making proper decisions about it neither.

I believe Dame is not available even if he says so. There is no way Portland would just surrender their best player in exchange for a kid who is having tantrums. Like harizen said, "unproffesional". Stop the drama, go back to the huddle and just finish the damn year. If Morey finds a good deal then he will be out with his contract intact. They will never buyout and pay that much for Simmons, they are looking for a better deal instead of wasting money. If Simmons will keep on acting like this, he will be the one who will pay the 76ers for breaching the contract and he will not receive a penny. Besides, buyout also works out if both parties agreed with it.

So next to Ben Simmons drama, now we have the Kryrie saga as well.
These two have different situations, Kyrie was disliked because of his attitude, but the way he played, he is really good. On the other hand, we have Simmons who is disliked by the management because he choked in the playoffs, Irving does not choke, Harden and Lebron even choke better. Kyrie will retire if he gets traded, lol https://nba.nbcsports.com/2021/09/16/report-kyrie-irvings-agents-saying-irving-would-retire-if-nets-trade-him/I think Kyrie should just let this go if the two teams will agree on it. The nets already have Durant and Harden which could score all night, and adding Simmons in the lineup will improve their defensive presence, the only problem I see is with the 76ers as I heard both Irving and Embiid doesn't have a good attitude being a teammate, Will the Nets care if Kyrie will retire if he will get traded?? I don't think so. The most one who will gets affected here will be Kyrie's career in basketball LOL. He only puts his career on a point where its like "trade me and I will retire. I'm a big help with this team so let me stay". Let Irving be traded and with this, I don't think too that 76ers will have an interest into an all-star player who warned the whole league that he will retire if he will be traded. Its like giving up one piece of the cake and there is no return at all. On the other hand though, I also think that Kyrie will play in the Nets and will try to get another championship again alongside Durant and Harden. They are almost there last playoffs but injuries spoiled it. If they are just healthy the whole season and playoffs (with a bit of load management maybe), they will get the championship.

Still a rumor and there's no update regarding to this possible trades. If ever Sixers will agree and they will let go of Simmon for Irving, both will benefit, Kyrie, if he will adjust with his attitude, can help Sixers to climb up and have a good chance of winning either conference or world title. Same with the Nets, Simmons can definitely help KD and Harden, Ben is a good defensive stopper focusing on that role is a good help since both KD and Harden are healthy coming this season, they can share ball and dominate their offenses.

Both good player in terms of there role and skills. But personality is another thing. You are right about Kyrie, He is a bit self centered that's why he can't work properly with star player. Simmons will be a perfect for his position because he can definitely adjust for KD and Harden since he is a rookie compared to Kyrie. While on the other hand, Kyrie might play a very good performance with Sixers due to less competition. This will be a good trade if this really happen.

Why not try Embiid-Curry and that possible trade for Simmons to work with Harris and Green, Sixers still have lots of good players and with the addition of Drummond which will help them more inside, this twin tower can play alongside instead of Drummond being a backup the way Howard did last season. The drama for Simmons still up and new rumors that Sixers are more interested in Rubio instead of love. If the deal from Cavaliers will proceed, Sixers is eyeing for Rubio. Maybe they are looking for PG replacement since Simmons mostly played that position for them.
