The Lakers usually do pretty well against the Suns but the way they've been playing lately I think the Suns have a pretty good shot.
I think LeBron will try to go big on the scoreboard again tonight to keep his massive scoring streak alive as he seemingly attempt to win himself a scoring title.
The Lakers never managed yet to defeat Phoenix Suns in all of their meetings this season. Those 2 wins by the Suns against the Lakers are both in the double-digit lead. And as you have mentioned, with the inconsistent Lakers lately, a possible 3-0 win for the Suns might be recorded. LeBron James is listed as questionable due to left knee soreness/effusion. That's a big handicap for the Lakers. Let's see if there's something surprising that other Lakers players will do if LeBron won't play.

LeBron James is playing tonight. However, it looks like the Lakers have no chance of winning this match at all because the Suns scored 48 points in the first quarter. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that LeBron will be able to defeat the Suns alone even if he tries to score another 50 points.

That was an ugly game from the Lakers. You won't even see any efforts to defend and Booker just keeps on shooting with no one around him. It's a one sided victory without even a little resistance, not entertaining at all. You can also see on Lebron's face how frustrated he is. I think he realized now that he cannot do it all for the team. Missing the playoffs will be their better choice and start again next year or he could exhaust himself until the last drop of his sweat.

That’s a sucks performance for them since Lebron center is not working anymore if he is the only too that scoring and defending. The result is pretty obvious that Lakers has no defense at which leads Phoenix to score a massive 140 points in the game. Its like an NBA Allstar game which they let players freely shoot in an open space. I was itching to bet on Lakers +20 on the half time break but some itching sensation in my testicles telling me not too which I decided to forfeit betting today.

I also saw a short video on Youtube regarding Lebron getting exhausted as well and at the same frustrated like you said because of how they are playing this game and possible this season. Westbrook? Nahh he is doing Westbrook things as always. 13 points 2 rebounds and 2 assists. It seems like Lebron is doing what he did on Cleveland where he carried his team the whole way but this time, he can't do it anymore since most of his teammates are either old and cannot defend or... the morale isn't there anymore. On the other hand though, I think that the Lakers can still go to playoffs if the roster is complete with AD. We don't know but AD might boost the morale of the team when he comes back. Just hoping that if he comes back "again", he will not get injured until the end of this season.

Bringing a healthy Davis will give them another man who also has a pride. I mean, with whom LeBron is playing alongside by now; they are just there to play, not sure if it's a real game for them or a practice game that is okay, whatever the result. Kidding, but the way we witness them playing, no pressure, just finish the time clock, win or lose it's over.

Ya, the Suns gave them a shalacking. The real star of the game to me was Ayton. He put up 23 points on 11-14 shooting and got 16 rebounds. He owned the paint. The Lakers you would think would then put in Dwight Howard to stop him... Not our guy Vogel though. He plays Dwight 16 minutes and lets them get blown out by 29 points. LeBron got his 31 on an average night for him. Westbrook was even decent and Carmelo came through like he has all year. They just lacked play from a big man to counter Ayton. I have no idea what the Lakers are thinking, but at this point they all have to be worried about whether or not they'll be seeing postseason play.

Reset will be the better word, Lebron has to accept the fact that the team is in disarray. It was just pure hype with Melo, Westbrook and him. I guess it will be a different Lakers again next season. And it seems the players they have traded for this will have the last laugh.

I knew this would be another blow out for the Suns even without CP3. The Lakers are done this season. There is no more hope left for them. There's no sense in making the play in tournament as well, they'll just going to end up a first round exit again If they came out victorious from the play-in. They just can't beat the Suns, they didn't even get a W since the 2021 playoffs lol.

Davis is still not playing and once he comes back, there's no assurance that he would still say long in the playoffs, so it's really a big problem for the Lakers staying in the competition especially against a much improve team this season.

And.. he is also old to do that. At Cleveland, he was at his prime. He can consistently carry JR Smith's errors and be able to win the game. He is not that same Lebron anymore. He has good days with 50+ points but that won't happen every game as his bones are starting to crack. You are right, if they will succeed in the play-in tournament, they would still need to face the Suns in the first round and I would not be surprised if they'll be sweep. Even if, but I doubt they will. Other teams are playing harder than them to avoid the play-in. But because of the lack of star players, they will try to just squeeze themselves to make it at the playoffs which means they won't give the Lakers a smooth road.

At this point, it looks like there's no hope for the Lakers to even past the round 1 if ever they are lucky to qualify in the playoffs. Lebron alone cannot carry the team on his shoulder, everyone has to contribute and there's no time because they could not find their chemistry. They got used to playing Davis as their scorer inside but he was injured so they have to stick on a different play. Problem is, Westbrook is not himself anymore, I mean a triple-double player like he was before was not seen anymore on the present Westbrook.

Looks like the Brooklyn Nets are back on the track, if they can continue winning like this they can climb up to the number 6 team in the Playoff tree which means they don't need to play the crazy Play-In Tournament doesn't really make sense at all. This kind of Durant is what the Nets need because they were thrown close to the garbage since he was injured and they are slowly gaining momentum. Right, they are on a streak now and just 3 games away from getting the 6th spot from the Cavaliers. It was a close game because the Knicks are also playing good and doesn't want the Nets to have a wide lead in fear that they will have some struggle to chase it. Durant was the main highlight in that game for scoring a whooping 53 points.

Knicks should have been able to win this game, just shows they are soon far away from doing anything relevent. Uhhg so disappointing.

And it seems the players they have traded for this will have the last laugh. During the building of the so-called "superpowered" Lakers team, I thought to myself that with so much old all-star players, they will not be as efficient compared to the time back when they are at their prime. This is the consequences right now- all of those players are old and starting to show some age. While we may argue that Lebron James is still the King with his athleticism, talent, and raw strength, he cannot carry his team alone. The whole Lakers team were scattered and all around the place. Booker was just effortlessly shooting perimeters and corners without any effort at all. With that kind of defense, I do think that Lebron is slowly getting frustrated to the point that he "MAY" be considering on retiring or switching to another team.

Yeah with Seth Curry out and kyrie who can't play in nyc Durant is still too much for the Knicks. Knicks should have been able to win this game, just shows they are soon far away from doing anything relevent. Uhhg so disappointing. Durant's Mom certainly enjoyed the performance. https://clutchpoints.com/nets-news-kevin-durants-mom-wanda-reacts-to-kd-destroying-knicks-with-53-points/It seems to me like LeBron's latest scoring outburst was an attempt by him to salvage the season and get himself a scoring title if he can't make the playoffs... Seems like KD might be thinking the same thing and isn't about to let LeBron run off with a scoring title just yet. I think we'll probably see a few more high scoring games between Durant and LeBron before the year is over. They're both extremely close to leading the league in points, so putting in some extra effort now might be the difference maker.

You predicted it right. Lebron is not getting any younger. He want to have more championships at the remaining years he got before retiring but I don't think this is the team that would help him on that path. Coach Vogel was a defensive coach. "Was." I think they are missing that because we don't see it anymore. They lack young guys now, those who would sacrifice anything for a championship while they are young. When I see Reaves doing all the work in their defensive line, I also see the problem. It's not just the coach but also the veterans and that's why it's difficult for them to win.

Fournier and Barrett are helping Randle to tower their offense. It's a good shooing night for these 3 stars, but like what you just said, Durant is the highlight he score more than the combine effort of these two NYK stars. Something that a good leader need to provide in lifting his team for a win.

I understand completely the criticism with this Lakers team this year. And they most definitely haven't made the trades to excite fans compared to other teams. But the Lakers might have enough. The playoffs is not the regular season. LeBron is the king of playoffs and sees every play. With the likes of Malik and Anthony who can heat up, ad will hopefully be healthy and even Westbrook can always drive to the basket and can play as a backup pg when LeBron is not there. I hope he doesn't play center too much. The Lakers will be hard to put away in 7 come play off time
