Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

OK, So we have a new issue to deal with...
I spoke to Bittrex today, to let them know we are ready to rebrand with them.. and since I spoke to Richie a few months ago in regards to this, should be an easy transition, but Now they want 1.5 btc to do the rebrand. I have spoken to Bill as well, and they don't seem to care that it was never mentioned when I spoke to Richie earlier.
So as it stands, we are in limbo, as I am not paying 1.5 BTC for a few database entries and a logo change. This is ridiculous.
Feel free to contact Richie and Bill on Slack in the Bittrex channel.
That's messed up. Pretty unreasonable for a small job like renaming a coin. listen listen .....hold and just think carefully GOD is with people of those who aere cool minded.

YObit, Cryptopia and NovaExchange have responded with "Processing the rebranding" without requiring a fee, so maybe throw them some volume, as thats how they make their money.. CoinPayments has been rebranded to PIVX (they have been notified to use greyscale images on dark backgrounds) CoinMarketCap had been kinda of updated, name has anyway, but everything else is still old stuff still

The reddit link in the OP still points to the old darknetcrypto reddit page. Maybe move it to PIVX reddit page

That's messed up. Pretty unreasonable for a small job like renaming a coin. 1.5btc does seem expensive. But please don't be so quick to judge the size of the job of renaming a coin. I know for me it could take an hour or two to redo all of the databases on my server, let alone the bugs in the future that I am not aware of yet but will have to fix. I am happy to make the switch without compensation, but just saying that unless you have worked as a developer for Bittrex and know their backend structure, I would not be so quick to judge.

I meant to write that a couple of days ago, but never actually found the time to do so. Put another way: If PIVX wants to enter the professional realm, you have to deal with businesses that need to make money to pay their infrastructure and talent. Use your commitment for marketing, ask Bittrex if they take PIVX and get them on the boat. There are many ways to make something good out of it.

I decided to write a technical white paper on the Seesaw Reward Balance logic that PIVX uses. First draft below. It has not been proof read by many yet. So there will be a lot of edits made to it before it becomes version 1.0. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1G58gtDdQtT-8kV8Fu7_764Fxn0i5fs0jGURvz8KJlTEAnyways, hope you guys like it.

I don't think the subject "requires" it's own whitepaper, but it looks better than most other whitepaper toilet paper out there already ;-)

More like the word "warrant" but yeah I do understand what you mean. Still can't hurt to have one right? Anyways, glad you found it okay. P.S. It will go through a major edit today thanks to a helper in Slack. Still the same link. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1G58gtDdQtT-8kV8Fu7_764Fxn0i5fs0jGURvz8KJlTE

Anyone see this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrIul2OGsQE Raises some facts we should be thinking about especially towards general adoption. Not that we need to rush into anything since I see no reason to deviate from the PIVX's teams current plans but it does remind me why I had liked DASH.

That video makes a some good points, but it will be some time before we can from a monetary stand point. From a development stand point, I agree we need a better UI all around.. So if there are any UX Developers out there, hit me up..

I think using PIVX to pay for something is still a while away and isn't a priority IMO. The first part is trying to attract those who actually wants to invest/hold/stake etc. Even that isn't that easy right now... e.g. My non-crypto friends recently asked me how to buy some PIVX after hearing me talk about it. My first reaction was "well, it's complicated", "there's a lot to learn", "You'll need my help" etc. 1. They need Bitcoins first. (This isn't that easy on its own when they don't even know what bitcoin is) 2. They need buy PIVX through an exchange using Bitcoins. (need to learn how to use exchanges, trade etc) 3. Install PIVX wallet on their Windows PC. (No wizard. pivx.conf file editing, encryption, address creation etc) Then they need to learn the concept of crypto addresses, staking, manual backup of their wallets, masternodes etc. It needs to be easier. I know it's not easy to make it easy. But yeah, no way they would bother learning all this without me. At the end, 3 guys asked me last week but none of them has yet to even buy any BTC let alone PIVX. No idea if they will. But yeah, this isn't just a problem with PIVX but with most altcoins.

Japanese robot factory located in a garage of an elderly handicapped guy has been being ignored for decades until he made a whitepaper outlining how terrifying machines work and what are the benefits of acquiring handmade robots for households of japan and malaysian tourists with unbearable ambitions but small brains.

Excited for the rebrand guys! Heard good things about the team. What plans do you have for promoting PIVX? Next CreditBit?

Explorer updated to SSD. Should see much better experience now. I will update the name/branding when bittrex does as well. If I do it before then none of the api calls to bittrex will work.
