It does sound like you are stuck in a fork. You will need to resync with the network. There is a very recent snapshot available that will speed with resyncing.

BUT, give me about 20 more minutes while I finish testing v1.4.2 and you can upgrade at the same time.

By "open your other wallet", I presume you mean to open your old v1.3 EverGreenCoin wallet. To do this, you simply execute the v1.3 EverGreenCoin-Qt file the same as you had in the past.

But that will not alleviate the fork issue you seem to be stuck in. To do that, follow the instructions in this post. There is no reason the v1.4.2 wallet would crash as opposed to v1.3 other than your current and what must be incorrect copy of the blockchain does not meet a check point that is now hard coded into the v1.4.2 wallet. The solution to this is also resyncing.

I will PM you now with some other diagnostics we can perform.

EDIT: The application data directory on mac would be /Users/YOUR USERNAME HERE/Library/Application Support/EverGreenCoin/

Existing MAC users prior to version 1.4.2 only!

This only applies to Mac users that already had an EverGreenCoin wallet and an existing wallet.dat file prior to v1.4.2. This should only include Mac EverGreenCoin wallets version 1.3 as any earlier versions were blocked from the network via a protocol upgrade mid last year.

A compatibility mismatch has been uncovered in a dependency used to build the Mac EverGreenCoin wallets prior to version 1.4.2 that stores the data in the wallet.dat file to disk. This is only HOW the data is stored to disk. Nothing is wrong with the data itself and all your EverGreenCoins are perfectly safe. For EverGreenCoin version 1.3 Mac users, we do need to migrate your EverGreenCoin to the version 1.4.2 EverGreenCoin Mac Wallet.

These are the options we have to migrate your EverGreenCoin into a wallet.dat file data which stores the data to disk in the same way as all other EverGreenCoin wallets (all Linux and all Windows versions) on the network:

Option #1 - Using your existing EverGreenCoin version 1.3 wallet, send all your EverGreenCoin to myself or an exchange wallet as a temporary holding. You can send them to me and I will compensate for the fees when I send them back to your new version 1.4.2 wallet or you can send them to an exchange as a temporary holding place but, you will then have to pay the transaction fees and any fees the exchange might charge you. After you have sent them to the place you wish to hold them temporarily, either a wallet I will use for people wishing to do this or the exchange you have chosen, upgrade to version 1.4.2 and then I will or you can via the exchange you had chosen, send them to your new v1.4.2 wallet.

Option #2 -

• Close your v1.3 wallet if it is open
• Rename your wallet.dat file to walletORIGINAL.dat
• Start the new version 1.4.2 EverGreenCoin wallet and allow it to build a new wallet.dat file
• Copy a receiving address from the receive tab in the new wallet
• Close the version 1.4.2 wallet
• Rename the new wallet.dat file you just created to walletNEW.dat
• Rename walletORIGINAL.dat to wallet.dat
• Start your, soon to be old, version 1.3 wallet
• Send the balance of the coins to the address you copied of the new wallet
• Close the old version 1.3 wallet
• Rename wallet.dat to walletORIGINAL.dat again
• Rename walletNEW.dat to wallet.dat
• Open your new version 1.4.2 wallet
• Store the walletORGINAL.dat and your version 1.3 wallet in a safe place where you will not mistakenly launch in the future

New Mac users as of v1.4.2, that do not have an existing wallet.dat from v1.3, are fine to use the EverGreenCoin Version 1.4.2.0 wallets and have no cerncern. This version does use the same dependency as Linux and Windows already and will bring the entire network to using the same dependencies that store the wallet.dat file data to disk. This is why I want to migrate existing Mac v1.3 wallets to Mac v1.4.2, so the network is completely standardized with the way the wallet.dat file is stored to disk.

I sincerly appoligize for this and the inconvinence it may cause any Mac user. If you have questions or would like to make any arragngments for this, please contact me via PM.

Yes, the yardstick was elongated while the unit being measured was contacted. I certainly hope that the ending comparison is so glaring that, even with double skewing of the price measure, supporters of this promotion will be very happy with their investments that made it possible.

I do understand your skepticism. I have received some private feedback that such paid promotions (aka hype) are best for pump and dump strategies. EverGreenCoin being, or wanting to do with, nothing of the sort. While I know wholeheartedly pump and dump coins use similar promotions, perhaps even this same promotion vehicle, I feel the EverGreenCoin ecosystem is mature enough to gain new sets of eyes and, more importantly, more hands and minds. I do feel confident there are many like-minded individuals in the green industry, perhaps some already with a bad taste in their mouths from crypto, that will be not only willing to adopt EverGreenCoin, but also contribute when they see we have a long-standing community and an established record of being an honest project.

The growth of our base is the target. A price increase will be collateral damage from us hitting that target. The growth of our base will not only be more easily observed by some of the more consistent measurements to be taken but, will help sustain any price growth that may come from the hype. Also, I do feel our 'infrastructure' of the new website and the support ticket system are ready to facilitate some major growth of both price and user base, green merchants included.

I do thank you for your support by retweeting, uki. I ask all the community to please try and find some time to do likewise. This will help us maximize the investment. Not only am I too retweeting of course, I am making what I hope are opportunely timed tweets at @Poloniex, having never lost sight of that goal. To update the EverGreenCoin community on the EverGreenCoin Android wallet, the Android developer does have an EverGreenCoin wallet running on an Android device and connected to the EverGreenCoin network. He is now working on the actual communication of the Android wallet with the network via an EverGreenCoin ABE block explorer.

While I do fully understand the Android wallet is behind schedule and was roadmapped for Q4 of 2016, because of all the 'administration nightmares' (SciFi Domain scam, UniqueBTC drama) securing an Android developer, of which I talked with five in total, in mid-to-late Q4 2016 was hampered and thus pushing the timeframe already. Then in early December the Android developer had to do some unplanned traveling for his job that allowed him no time to devote to the task. But now everything is back to full swing.

At any rate, I do apologize and accept responsibility for missing the roadmapped quarter of the EverGreenCoin Android wallet. That said, I am pleased to announce, it will not be missed by much. Not much at all. I, of course, will keep you all posted as to any dates as soon as I feel confident in them. Do expect those details in the very near future.

I know some of the community are in disagreement with EverGreenCoin's stance, specifically EverGreenCoin Cannabis's stance, on marijuana both in recreation form and medicinal form. I have had private conversations with community members on the topic and fully understand the negative implications.

I do personally think those implications are amplified by the prohibition and the social stigma, and in some ways social glorification, of the plant. The evidence of the benefits of the plant is overwhelming and I don't think fully realized and will not be until social stigmas are diluted with time or, in a better scenario, disproved and removed with understanding. Of course, one can not dispute the many other benefits we could be yielding from the plant in textiles, paper, disposables, fuel, etc.

Bow has done a great job maintaining the EverGreenCoin Cannabis facebook page with evidence. https://facebook.com/EverGreenCoin420 and that has been bringing new eyes to EverGreenCoin as I only recently have started sharing those posts in other anti-prohibition groups. To be honest - the reason I didn't join the community at launch was due to the references to Cannabis in the OP, as soon as I read the word, I stopped reading the post thinking "this coin must be a bit shady", and I understand the importance of hemp cultivation more than most (especially is carbon sequestration abilities). I think branching it out was a very good decision.
