It says the have $424 right now in reserves. I know at one point last night they had $804. My order back on page 57 still hasn't been filled even though I PM Yankee and he said he was looking into it.

13 hours ago I transferred ~$100 through BitInstant to BitStamp and it still has not shown up.

I just got a quick reply from customer service when I used the "Contact Us" form on their website.
I got no response from support@bitinstant.com (email sent 10 hours ago).

I will update this thread once I have something more to share.

Oh, I just got a reply from customer service as I wrote this post.
"I apologize for the delay. We have a low balance on the exchange that has caused orders to get ‘stuck’ in our system. As soon as we have the appropriate balance, I will manually transfer your order. Thanks for your patience!"

I will update when the funds are in my BitStamp account.
Problems are unavoidable, but BitInstant seems very willing to fix the problems.
I'm content with the process so far...  Undecided

I got the exact same email reply. I don't know why they are accepting orders if they have NO BITCOINS TO GIVE IN RETURN!!! This is just stupid. I could have used another bitcoin service this morning rather than being inpatient and wanting to deposit them last night, and I would have had them by now. Why didn't they just temporarily shut the site down until things were straightened out.

And can newbies not send PM's? I want to PM the owner but there is no ling to. I've been getting fucked for money all week and I am about to explode with anger.

You should be able to PM after your first post mate.

I too got the exact same email. I emailed them again and they said that they are getting the funds to me by "later today"... what the hell is this? This is suppsed to be a 1 HOUR ORDEAL. I am now on my 18th hour and STILL no bitcoins. I am NEVER using bitinstant again.

And I totally agree they should have temporarily shut the site down and not accepted payments. And im sure there are still people getting hosed outta they're bitcoins.

BitStamp seems to be gone as an option now too. I was considering trying BTC-e and then BitStamp but they disappear before I get the chance. It's probably good that they're not an option if the orders can't be fulfilled. I'm really disappointed with all this, but I still don't really have a reasonable alternative. I hope it gets worked out soon, but it seems like it's just getting messier  Sad

There seem to be a few alternatives where you can deposit cash at a bank, but unfortunately despite being huge national banks, they do not have branches anywhere near me (which is why I've always used BitInstant).

Anyway, despite my dissatisfaction with BitInstant right now, this is their support thread and I think we should respect that. There is a wealth of knowledge on these forums. I'm sure you'll be able to find other threads that can answer your question in more detail.

Yeah, I wish things had gone more smoothly too, but I see no purposeful wrondoing, just a hiccup.
I suppose I didn't get the service I was promised, but I don't think it's worth putting myself in a bad mood... but if I have to wait a week or never get my funds, I will be pissed.

Come on BitInstant, don't let us down.  Grin (Well, don't let ME down... f*#k the rest.  Tongue)

You could always try ZIGGAP.com

Hey I placed an order with you guys this morning and I have questions.  I tried live chat but I have got no response for an hour now.  Do you have a Ziggap.com customer support thread like this one?(sorry should have searched).  Also my order # is 939a0c44-f112-4c7d-8479-0443080fd0d8 and it has been sitting at "Waiting for the deposit to clear at the bank" for 2 hours now.  Your FAQ states cash deposits are almost instant.  Please help.

Thanks

I'm still waiting on an order processed by Dwolla on 2/14: 44d90966-7431-4caf-9dbb-4f4779197f85

The funds were debited from my Dwolla account, but I have not received the BTC. Support keeps promising "within the next business day" but has been doing so for a week. I requested a refund yesterday and was instead told I'd receive the BTC "within the next business day" but still have not.

Please do the right thing and either process the order now, or refund my money if you are unable to process the order.
