the other day someone here brought up ziggap.com as i viable alternative to bitinstant. I was planning on trying to use it today, but it seems that site is down now as well lol. It would seem that the bitcoin gods have forsaken us. Im guessing ziggap went town from all the people trying to migrate over from bitinstant lmao

Hello,

I have been waiting 10 days now for order: 5f8d6744-d6fa-437f-8abc-4131f0a9a9bd to go through.  It was cash deposit -> bitcoin address.  I emailed support and exchanged emails with Rachel and Seth who both indicated that my order was being sent to technical support where it would be pushed through.  If you want to just deposit the money in my MtGox account my username is the same as it is here.

Thanks

The fact that Charlie hasn't replied is disturbing.

That said, Thailand is nice this time of year (and most of the year for that matter).   My family is building some mid to upper market condominiums if you're interested.   Would be happy to deduct the funds you owe me towards a down payment.

Just give bitinstant some time and they will handle the matter.

I PM'ed him 48 hours ago with no reply.   That's an eternity for tech folks.   The only time I don't reply to emails and PM's is when I'm in the shower.

So are the other funding options(Mt. Gox in particular) processing at the normal speed of one hour or has all funding been effected?

Yes.  Have had a few Gox orders go through @ the advertised speed (well, a few hours actually) today and two days ago.  When it works, it's the bee's knees.

Thanks for the response my friend. I was a bit wary of placing an order after seeing the cash to bitcoin address option unavailable and then researching the problem and finding this thread.

The problem with Ziggap is that you are actually sending the money to an individual instead of through the Moneygram bill pay feature that was available through BitInstant (BitInstant got that ability through CashPayment.com, which seems to have been dumped even by the "featured merchants" on their home page, so maybe that is BitInstant's issue at the moment).  The difference is striking in terms of fees - the fee at MoneyGram is like $3.95 for a bill pay regardless of the amount, whereas sending $500 to the individual specified on Ziggap costs $40 in Moneygram fees alone - before any exchange or service fees from Ziggap.  Also, sending cash to an individual through Moneygram seems a little iffy to me.  My guess is that he would quickly run out of BTC to deliver if the service actually caught on, but that seems unlikely because he doesn't have a bill pay arrangement through Moneygram or Western Union.

BTW Bitinstant, the complaints are starting.  You might want to start talking publicly again and tell people what is actually going on.  Just found this:

Yankee,

This is a reminder that I am still waiting on my order from February 12 to be manually filled. Nothing has shown up yet in my wallet or at blockchain.info.
