Hello Charlie, Yankee, Ursay, et al at BitInstant:
Please open a support ticket and/or add this market rate at the time of deposit discrepancy to your support list. An incorrect market rate was used when BitInstant fulfilled the following cash deposit to bitcoin address orders. Our calculation shows that BitInstant owes 0.74328086 BTC.
Thanks for your assistance in correcting this.
2 x ZipZap/MoneyGram cash deposits were made to fund bitcoin wallet addresses:
4/10/2013 02:40PM PST, $503.95 ($480.05 after fees) to 1PAnA5WoSV9iXvKTKYZ7VvAsUcmUX1LsKJ 4/10/2013 02:48PM PST, $503.95 ($480.05 after fees) to 182BXFTnXoie81qRnT8o8zTFKkiPRuqex3
BTC weighted price on Mt. Gox at approximate time of deposits (retrieved from bitcoincharts.com):
4/10/2013 02:40PM PST, 1 BTC = $177.59 4/10/2013 02:48PM PST, 1 BTC = $161.43
Expected BTC deposit:
$480.05 / $177.59 = 2.70313644 BTC $480.05 / $161.43 = 2.97373475 BTC
Actual BTC deposited (incorrect exchange rate USD) (discrepancy BTC):
2.41687470 BTC ($198.62) (-0.28626174 BTC) 2.51671563 BTC ($190.74) (-0.45701912 BTC)
Total BTC due: 0.74328086 BTC
If BitInstant concurs, please remit 0.74328086 BTC to original BTC addresses (listed above).
Further details of the payment orders and transactions are provided below.
Thanks for your attention to this matter. Have a good weekend.

Good luck with that, youre better off getting your $ back at the rate of deposit, given the current exchange rate. Then use SOMEBODY ELSE other than BITSCAM to get your BTC at a much better market rate

Morning everyone! I made a cash deposit to GOX this morning thru BitInstant. It went thru perfectly. The system is working great. Now let's solve some back logged issues!!! Extremely provoking comment. Honestly. GET THE FUCK BACK TO THE LIST AND GET _US_ _OUR_ MONEY! TY some one has to say it i feel the only way to get help on here is to be a dick get on that list ursay!!!!!! There might be close-to-realtime chat here, there might be supporters working on this but the ever returning comments like "read my sugnature" and "for ME it worked flawlessly" is not exactly what counts as support when people wait for 4+ days for their money... Thing is, i have had several transactions since bitinstant was started and they all worked.. but now that i see how arrogant the so called supports reacts to the customers complains and problems i feel really cheated. The least would be to solve the problems as fast as possible.. the NORMAL would be for a self-respecting company to offer sort of a compensation for the trouble.. but i dont believe neither will happen. I think this all will resolve to "Woops, we traded with your funds and made a mistake when the bubble did burst. Sorry, but we are insolvent.".. I hope not. They owe me $1000+ in Bitcoin.

Still nothing. Although I did receive an email from Bitinstant saying the order was executed, nothing was actually sent so I don't even know what the email means.
I'm assuming this is to a bitcoin address here? but I believe they release BTC in batches every now and then throughout the day. It took a couple hours for me to be able to see mine on the blockchain and it is currently in the process of being verified

If I see it I'll calm down about that $500 worth of Bitcoin but they'd still owe me a previous $500 worth from over a week ago. Maybe they can send that to me as well and then I can leave this thread alone.

Hi There I am new to bitcoins. I recently purchased some BC at $AU150. I also started an OKPay account to safely store some. Now I note that the price of BC is $AU170 and $US80.
How is this so when the AU dollar is $US105. I am afraid of putting my BC in my OK account as they will loose value.
Confused..Q

URSAY, I appreciate you trying to help, but if you'd read my post you'd see that I was unable to submit any new issues using that same quote ID.
Regardless, I may not have a problem any more. It would seem that Gareth has taken it upon himself to personally fix my problem.
Just waiting on confirmations at the moment, but it looks like bitinstant got me my btc at a real fair market price (though incredibly late)
Everybody else out there having problems, just keep complaining all day. It eventually works.
Complaining all day is not helpful and will not push your order thru any faster.

Okay, looking back through some of these post I see lot's of people getting fed up. Join the crowd. Other people are like "Why so childish and impatient?" Because my fucking money has been in limbo for not 3 hours, not a day, not a week, but 6 fucking months. You'd be pissed to. I'd imagaine some of those who were so patient at first are now on the same page as the rest of us "children" and dicks". If not, you're time is coming. I await you're apology. It's all the same story- patient, nice, told the problem would be fixed. After a week the patience is done. I just want my money and too be done with this company. Your time is coming to get ripped off. I urge you not to wait- if you get your money, count yourself lucky and DO Not Use BIT"instant" Again.
I hope you have already PMed me more info...I will be checking PMs soon. Made deposit hours ago using dwolla today to be sent to GOX and it is not in the account just filled out www.bitinstant.com/contact form Order ID 62f756f2-1770-4361-a5a2-ccb68132efbb New issues are logged at bitinstant.com/contact

I hope you have already PMed me more info...I will be checking PMs soon. Yes I did, several, as it's a lot Of info (6months of it). You asked for it so there you go. Look, I see that you're trying and patient and nice etc etc. I want to appreciate it. However, this is the same thing I went through with Rachel and Charlie for months. So now I've just spent more of my time and energy trying to get my money, and I don'tt have a positve outlook on it, judging from prior experience. I'd like to be wrong. I would like to not have to waste any more time and energy. Please talk to Charlie, he's well aware of what happened. IT would be so much easier on the both of us. [/quote] But If Charlie already "effectively" said no, it doesn't sound like Ursay hearing the boss say no again would work? Now if it fell through the cracks, there might be a different customer service plan that'll work now. Watching your movie and rooting for you!

Seems many have both good and bad experiences with Bitinstant. Seems to be the story with most exchanges these days.
But I will share my first experience with Bitinstant. As several have done, I used my full Mtgox account number using a cash deposit from Bitinstant. Because this was incorrect, my funds were stuck. A sent a support request, and was sent a reply within a few hours. They sent me the mtgox coupon code which I was able to immediately use.
This was my first btc purchase, and I didn't follow directions, so I figured I was screwed. Thanks for the help Bitinstant support!
Following that, I have been pretty careful with all transactions. Now I see that I have done it again. Using Capitalone for a transfer to bitfloor, I created a deposit, got the email confirmation, and proceeded to send the same amount from the checking account. However, I failed to notice that Bitfloor changed the exact amount I planned on sending. $200 changed to $200.04. Ugh, I sent exactly $200, so that is another chunk I might have to fight for since there system is looking for that exact amount.
Painful learning experiences...
We are working on new interfaces which will not allow users to input incorrect info which stops or delays their order. There's a lot to learn in Bitcoin and things are always changing. Patience is key. Thanks for sharing your experience!
