It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I know who I'm not doing business with in purchasing bitcoins. BitInstant needs to change their name to BitNever.

My bitstamp account did not receive funds and my Mtgox coupon was used.

Please add me to the current support ticket list. Thank you!!

I was assured earlier that you would be honoring the price at the time of the order, keep up the awesome work and please don't let me down on this one!!

Please be more specific about your issue.  Thanks!  Cheesy

Sent $50 from CVS on April 4, it was supposed to go to my MtGox acct... I haven't seen anything yet.

I have you on my older support list where I don't keep as much of your info before it is passed on.  Would you like me to open a new ticket for you on my new support list for 4/9?  Thanks!  Cheesy

I would definitely like to be added to whatever your most current support list is. I don't expect to be first in line, but I believe my transaction on the 4th puts me pretty far back.

On the day of my order the rate was between $115 and $145. I placed my order in the afternoon when the rate was lower, but I would be willing to accept BTC at $140 ($50 / 140 = 0.35714286BTC ).

OK.  I am just now noticing that all the info I provided in my sig is cut off and not showing.  Should I post it up at a random URL?  Suggestions guys?

I can't push something to the BitInstant URL instantly so that is not an option.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Ursay, I have several pages to catch up, but I still see your sig cutoffs, So I took the option to rework it a bit to get it to 3 lines, since you're so busy. See if this works for you. I didn't do too much, just some abbreviation, clutter removal, and a "thought" move or two.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ursay's New SIG???:

READ BEFORE POSTING: Final support lists post daily by 3PM. Check these! If you're not on one & you need a formal support ticket, Log your issue ONE TIME via PM or this thread. Multiple PMs/posts on the same issue after I've opened a ticket slows us down. Include your order & quote ID#s, etc. The more you provide, the faster we can help. We'll do our best to honor your time-of-order purchase price, & can open another ticket for the difference later. Thx!!

Used Bitinstant today.  Got my money deposited in like 5 minutes.  Did two different transactions.  Very satisfied.

I suggest going to your destination site though.  I went to mtgox and to blockchain.info and created accounts and followed their directions.

I also tried just going to Bitinstant and doing it directly, but somehow it didn't load right and it was confusing and a waste of time.

A very important thing is to check your email account for all the final directions.

Overall A+.  There are tons of locations in town where I could use cash to deposit into Bitinstant.  Just get ready to fill out the paperwork.  Takes a few minutes.

I ordered mine Sunday when the price was 150 per coin. This should have got me around .66 BTC. I contacted support today, got a message back from Rachel saying it was processed. The original values were not honored. I got .399 BTC, which in today's exchange is now worth about 87 USD. This is short by about 10 bucks, on top of the original quote not being honored. I was willing to accept that they can't honor these original values give. The rapid increase in values... But I seem to remember reading that they are supposed to. Or are they not? I can accept that... But I paid around 104. I should have gotten on Sunday 97 USD approx in BTC after exhange. Now today I am shorted, and lost that potential value hike.

Really???

Here are the order and event IDs received from Rachel, today. Don't get me wrong. I'm glad it got processed, and she was speedy. Don't like paying 100 bucks and getting 85 (at time of exchange... or lower), though.

Anyways, IDs.

There is a wired article talking about how bitinstant got hacked for around $12000, so they lost a significant amount of money (if it IS true), in that instance AND with bitcoin skyrocketing in value, im sure they would loose tens if not hundreds of thousands if they paid everyone the value of the coins when its late compared to when you buy

Anybody know of alternative sites to take my balance at mtgox and get it in my paypal?  Up until now I've used bitinstant but i'm tired of the 0 response and I feel wishy-washy about trusting how 'instant' or even "if at all" they will follow through.

Over 24 hours have gone by and I've asked URSAY in a PM, twice on here (and seen other users ask as well) and also posted on reddit asking what's up with paypal not being listed on bitinstant as a destination anymore.

I know people are busy, but it would take 2 seconds to answer back rather than letting people feel ignored.

I have gotten no response.

Although not incredibly suprising, it's sad a simple question like this goes unanswered.

That's old news.  It also wasn't really a 'hack'.  They gained access by asking for it, and it was given to them.  Proxying through somewhere when you are up to no good isn't anything new either.  Back in March i was making transfers through BitInstant without any problems.  This is a new issue based on timeframe.  Besides, they've always collected the same percentage (It actually has gone up significantly since I've been using them for MTGOX -> Paypal withdraws).  So with the larger amount of volume  flowing through, that just means more income for them.  I'm sure 12K missing bit pretty hard, but the recovery process and moving forward should be done and over with at this point.
