Why don't you make a more detailed explanation of some of the estabilished but not fully popular ones ?
Can you try to point out coins that are better than bitcoin in some way , and detail a bit on it ?

Thanks for the awesome thread Cheesy

PS : Can someone explain what PPcoin does to use less energy ?

No longer active on bitcointalk, however, you can still reach me via PMs if needed.

put that in the stablecoin thread. pretty sure they have been effectively destroyed by changing something in the blockchain. theyre still there but not spendable in any way.

LOL Change the blockchain? That is not possible, man, that blockgenesis and banch of blockchain will be integer so far the end of Universe.

There is a possibility of spending the blockgenesis premined 1.25 millions coins, but it will fork the blockchain.

So, claims about destroying and unspendeble premine are essentially false, just a display towards someone not understating enough the basis of bitcoin.

PS : Can someone explain what PPcoin does to use less energy ?

PPCoin is now called Peercoin and uses proof of stake instead of (a significant part of its) proof of work.
Bitcoin miners need: expensive hardware + electricity < value of coins mined
Peercoin miners need: expensive hardware + electricity + coins held < value of coins mined with a strong weight on "coins held"

Xorxor, please update the PXC name to Phoenixcoin and change the link to my takeover thread. JohnCar, iamatrix and Joerii are no longer involved with the project.
