@LiskHQ

I was wondering on how you Lisk manage the funds gathered during the ICO regarding the volatility of BTC. At the moment of the ethereum crowdsale the bitcoin was around 500$ and soon after btc hit lows and the BTC they had worth a lot lot less than at the end of the crowdsale. So my question is, how will LISK manage this risk? will a % of btc be converted into FIAT ($/€) to avoid volatility or take that risk?

Any comments on this?

The management of funds, including conversion rates (cash/btc), has been a discussion since the beginning of the ICO. They have not reached a decision, but you can expect to have one by the time the ICO is over, if not weeks after it is over.

The team is transparent and reads any questions or suggestions from the community. If fund management is a priority for the community it may be pushed to a closer timetable.

I made 2 deposits to the same btc address on the LISK ICO i wasn't aware that each deposit has to be sent to a different address.

What will happen to my deposit that did not show up? Will it show up soon or get returned?

I believe the BTC are in their system and registered. They are working on a fix for this common mistake.

Thanks,

At Lisk you can't develop smart contracts which are always being performed by all miners on the network.

So is smart contracts in the road plan. Is it possible to do with Javascript/node?

- You can only develop the dapp backend on Ethereum, on Lisk you can develop the whole package (see above) of frontend and backend.

Are you talking about the Dapp App store as being a front end? what do you mean by whole package - layman term to a non techy please.

Why are we comparing Lisk to Ethereum if there is no smart contract option anymore to comparing Lisk to Apple store with some crypto twist.

Please help me understand this further

As far as I know, at current development there are no plans for smart contracts in the near future. Although, it should be open for discussion for future development.

Lisk is different to Ethereum in so many ways, if it were me, I would prefer on not focusing on Ethereum as being competitors. They both serve a purpose and have pro's and con's for certain applications. However, many believe there is a competition for current market cap. In my opinion, the Internet of Things will become a huge movement bringing billions if not trillions of dollars into the crypto market cap. Specifically those projects focusing on IoT devices.

Why is it compared to Ethereum? They are both Dapps Platforms. Although they may have their differences, at the end they both support decentralized applications. If a developer can create an Dapp in Ethereum, it may be worth his time to look at Lisk and decide whether it be more beneficial to run it as a sidechain or not.

Right now, 1 LISK = 0.0089 USD

the value of Ethereum (1 ETH) was 0.30 USD on launch

You need to combine this figure with the fact that this pathetic Nodejs shamble never ever will be used by any body in the real world, outside of this toxic scam driven Bitcointalk microcosmos (as I am sure you are aware of even Bitcoin and Ethereum are having a really hard time with real world adoption).

Do you know why the Cripty clowns weren't able to get one single real world business customer nor to implement one single commercial use case in the last 18 months? Because there is simply no monetization route for these kind of applications. The only monetization route is to sell this nonsense to the noobs, naives and idiots. No businesses nor any real world solution providers are interested in this proposition. That's why Crypti ran out money, so these two wankers could step in by collecting money again from these idiots while the process is pushed by the army of sockpuppets and shills.

The even a bigger wanker in this process is that German lawyer who assists to this scam. I think it is time to contact the German law enforcement and let them know about this blatant fraud. The money collector wankers call this blatant scam "donation". That's how primitive they are to believe that the naming will change the nature of their fraud. What kind of lawyer in his right mind gives his name to such obvious scam?

the wisdom of the crowd thinks different

@LiskHQ Hi i did some reading but could not find some good explanation on what the lisk coin is used for. I imagine you will charge a small fee in lisk coin for securing the dapps and other blockchains?
Could you elaborate on this please. Thanks!

Hey! No worries. You can open a support ticket here: https://lisk.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

They will get to you asap.

If you're really in a hurry, you can always hop on the lisk chat and speak with the developers personally (when they get onlines ofc): https://lisk.chat/

People have encountered the same problem recently because there is someone spamming the btc network but dont worry yours will get confirmed in time..

..

I just cheked the btc address and you didnt paid the standard transaction fee of 10k sats. So, either that it would take weeks or the transaction would get rejected

You don't pay enough.
