Gambling is like any addiction.  You have to be able to control yourself.  If you can't be trusted with gambling you are going to have to completely stay away from it.  Block sites, don't go to casinos.  Do anything you can to stay away from it.  Might help getting some support from friends/family/professionals as well.

It is not that easy just spend some money on your hobbies like that, if he can manage it well I think he will spare some for gambling too no matter how much he spend on his hobbies. There is no way someone could manage getting out from gambling because it is really hard except you already lose everything then may be you can manage to get out, if you still got some money to spare I dont think you can quit that easily

Avoiding the Internet is hard you can do also other things on the Internet. Just stay away from gambling websites the first 10 days are the most hard.

Like I said you gotta do it in a smooth way, not just quit gambling all of a sudden and just start a new hobby, you gotta grow interest in something and gradually shift it towards here and start losing that stupid fascination with gambling overtime.
