This is bad advice. If somebody has an addiction, its an addiction because they can't stop gambling. Telling them to stay away isn't good enough.

Yes staying away from computer and Internet is more complicated than staying away from gambling. I believe both are interlinked and the have a connection for addictions. Get back to real life go for regular walk or go for the world tour. Because just in one day you will not be able to come out of gambling addiction.

Old habits die hard really and the one way of killing it is to replace it with new one. try drinking.. start tonight by sitting on a stall in a bar and share your gambling habit to the bartender.

Stop being greedy, live with what you have.  Create busy schedule such as, find another job for your free time, and get busy every day with your family and save money in your bank account, its will add up more interest in your bank account.... love the money that you have... take pledge 'I never spend any money without any need'.   If you control your expenditure every day, every hour, then also you can make lots of money.....

Many people are doing gambling not just with greedy but they are chasing down their previous losses.
Simply, we need to understand the real meaning of gambling to get out of it. When you consider gambling as a source of money making all the problems arises. If you approach gambling not with an intention of money making, then there is no need to quit it for any cause.

To stop using your computer to quit gambling is a bad option IMO. The problem is not in your computer but in you mind. Doing another activity is good, but you shouldn't force yourself to doing this, you should want to do something which you sincerely consider better than gambling.

Also they can speak with a relative about it so they know it and can do something about it.
