The return of V10s is still a hot topic in the F1 world. While most people and drivers agree that V10s are definitely much better than what we have now, it just can't come back to F1 because this would mean ignoring the power units currently under development for 2026 featuring the removal of the MGU-K and beefed-up electrical systems. Christian Horner and Zak Brown even warned that F1 bosses can't just get rid of what they've set before, especially when Audi, Honda, and General Motors are already preparing for the 2026 regulations, it's impossible for all the rules to be changed because it would be detrimental to them. With that, it's likely we won't see V10s for a few years to come.

Audi already said they don't want the v10.
I don't know if everyone needs to agree to get the green light for the decision.
Is better going for the V10 and losing Audi or remaining with he actual engine and keep Audi?

The more money entering is the answer.

Yup, in the end it was all about money. Ben Sulayem who made that statement was just trying to get attention and boost his image to be re-elected as president (that's what I got) after all the controversies he caused in F1. But the 2026 regulations have been launched and he can't just get rid of them and put V10s in F1. It's just too much money to be sacrificed. In the end it all ended up as a plan with no follow up. Maybe until the new regulations come out this can be discussed again.

This time it is a little more different than the one they used during the Turkish GP in 2021. I liked that one more truthfully but this also looks pretty neat.  Wink

Very nice car to see.
This is a great change of colors for the Japan GP.
The flag of Japan is there in the entirety of the car and big shot out to Honda with "paying" Redbull with the Japan driver in Japan motor car.
They planned it very well.

Lets see if Tsunada can be a good teamate or he will be the next meat to be sacrificed for the team.

I like this special desing for the japanese grand prix from RedBull

Lets see if all this inspires Yuki Tsunoda to do a much better work in his home. I know i already said before i dont see him having a good run on the main team, but lets see if the start in his home brings him to a new level.

To MotoGP, M. Marquez crashes, but after the first 5 victorys, the championship is already open, and the little brother is the leader.  Shocked

The next Grand Prix is in Qatar and I think in Qatar M Marquez will not dominate as much as he did in the first 3 Grand Prix. But we will see.

White Red Bull - from first glance it looks like Haas or similar like Alfo Romeo used to look. It's nice, but for me Haas Sakura edition livery is one of best special designs that I saw for a while.
I also see chance of rain on some apps, but it's still unclear when it will be - during race or before/after it. Not sure that I want it - race in Suzuka usually is great even on dry track.

Few teams alrady called him for a potential deal.
Cadillac wants him for example.
They want an expert driver and he fits the profile wanted.

I saw the interviews with some pilots and team members on the engineers side and they all agreed that the V10 era was cooler, and that while current engines may be more efficient, the excitement is not the same because the low rpm generates a noise that sounds like a vacuum cleaner or some sort of electric rc car engine that feels like a joke compared to the 90's and early 00's era. I think the FIA is looking into solving this eventually and they are going to get the V10 back eventually. The shift from the V10 to the current V6 era was also a transition so the same could be done again. The interviewed engineer said that they would adapt and would be excited about the challenge.

The Qatar circuit is not a difficult circuit for Ducati and also for most riders including Marc Marquez, especially in this season he is equipped with the best motorbike on the MotoGP grid. So his chances of competing at the front will still be there, but I will also see how the other riders do in FP and Practice next week in Qatar because that will also determine the level of fierce competition for the front row later. I hope there are other riders who are able to win there so that the MotoGP championship can be more tense and interesting to watch.

It is a very beautiful livery. With the red bull logo combined with the white color, it immediately brings the colors of the Japanese flag. It is a very appropriate livery to be shown in this race because this is the last time Red Bull will be with Honda in their hometown race, plus with Yuki who will be in the second seat of Red Bull for the first time. This is a form of respect from Red Bull to Honda, which since partnering in 2019 has won two constructors' championships and four drivers' championships.

Hopefully in this race Yuki can get a good position because this is his last race with Red Bull in his hometown.

Yeah, Perez was a decent driver before he went to Red Bull.  I think the thing with RBR is they might have a car that's so hard to drive and only a driver with leet skills like Verstappen was able to handle it.  Grin

Dunno tho.  But what other explanation is there.  Let's see what Tsunoda could do this weekend.

I hope Tsunoda doesn't get wasted. I have bigger expectations from him after seeing the Lawson disaster.  Tongue

The thing I'm wondering is whether the car is really that bad. Tsunoda is an experienced driver. So we would understand it clearer while he is driving.

I like this style, and if I had to choose, I would choose the white design for the whole of the session.  Tongue

I also like this white design a lot. Probably they don't want to make it stay for a full season because of Red Bull's main colors. There isn't even any blue on this design.  Grin

Sergio Perez is probably coming back next year.
Few teams alrady called him for a potential deal.
Cadillac wants him for example.
They want an expert driver and he fits the profile wanted.

That fact, I don't wonder how you expect, good driver with a lot of experience, and I think he will not have a very high salary, he will drive anymore.

The Qatar circuit is not a difficult circuit for Ducati and also for most riders including Marc Marquez, especially in this season he is equipped with the best motorbike on the MotoGP grid. So his chances of competing at the front will still be there, but I will also see how the other riders do in FP and Practice next week in Qatar because that will also determine the level of fierce competition for the front row later. I hope there are other riders who are able to win there so that the MotoGP championship can be more tense and interesting to watch.

Im looking to place some money on F1 this weekend. I like the odds of a top 10 position ending for Yuki Tsunoda. I think being in Japan is a motivation boost for him as he is racing on his homeland and he will get some good points for the team that Lawson failed to achieve and will consolidate himself as the second pilot for Red Bull in his debut. Im going to start looking at some bookies that have this deal and place some money. Another interesting bet may be Aston finishing in points. Let's see if they got some upgrades and I believe they could also collect some points this sunday. Maybe those will be my bets. Max Verstappen is no longer an easy cashcow in my opinion, too competitive now with McClaren having closed the gap. Back then I was betting #1 finish on Max and making money no cheat mode almost. Now you have to think twice.

The fact is that Max wants an snappy understearring car.
And redbull don't listen the second driver.
So none can fight or compare with Verstappen until they don't find a second driver with the same style of Max.

Does Tsunoda like understear on his car? If yes he will be competitive if not he will be trash near Max.

The line on Yuki Tsunoda is just 1.32 to finish in the top 10.  He could do that in his old car at Racing Bulls.  And if anything, he could be at risk of not finishing in the top 10 as he might be used to in that Red Bull car.

But if you're going to bet on him at least look for a little value and make the amount of the bet smaller rather than bet larger on a very chalky line.  With his experience, why not go for value and bet on him at the top 6 at 2.40?  NFA tho.  I'd rather just bet on the fastest car with the first driver.  Norris at same odds, 2.40.

The made bigger kerbs so drives can't cut so much the turns anymore.

Racing in both teams are very different. When you are at Racing Bulls, you have a normal car, for both drivers, and with that normal car, the chance of you doing a decent time is possible, not like top level, just a normal, like if you finish 10th, that would be what is expected and make everyone happy, if you can't, that is also understandable (unless you finish last).

Racing with Red Bull (from what racers have talked about so far) is very different, which means, the ceiling is higher, but also the crash possibility is higher too. So if you race well with it, you race very well with it, if you make a mistake, the costs are a lot bigger, and making a mistake becomes something you can't avoid unless you are Max Verstappen.

Big gambling done by Haas according to the media.
They will used a new just produced floor for the car without good tests done.
So it can be a huge improvement, or a big downgrade.

They had oscillations problems and if the floor works they will fix it with a big step ahead.
They did a big all in, and considering how cars are close in to the grid, they can be in top 8 or in the last spot in 2 days.
