Verstappen is probably the GOAT, but this year the McClarens are catching up, there's a good 30 point difference now with Piastri, at this rate it may get too wide for him to catch them up. I think it will depend on weekends where the Redbull performs a bit better and then the rest is all Max talent getting the best out of the car. But Piastri is looking like a solid contentender now. Ferrari is again this year stuck in the 3rd or 4th position. Surprised to see Williams performance in this circuit. Sometimes other cars just perform a lot better in certain weekends.

Yeah but my point was that this is not the most dominant car anymore at all. The Redbull is probably the 2nd, 3rd.. or even 4th car in my opinion. Verstappen is just that good. If you don't have the best care and you continue to compete with the best it means you are going to beat by a long shot the rest of the competition, and Piastri and Lando have the best car now with a big margin in my opinion and they are not showing the dominance that Verstappen was showing, I think it's mostly the talent of Max squeezing the last bit of performance of the car. If Redbull finds an hedge during the season I think Verstappen can still win the 5th championship. If however Redbull continues in the spot they are at they may not get the extra they need to beat McClaren and Piastri will probably win. It's pretty much over for the rest for this year.

Then you think Hamilton is also not GOAT.  Grin  Joking aside, F1 is pretty much like this for years. Main driver from the most dominant team wins titles... Hamilton and Verstappen are the best examples for that.

But this still doesn't change the fact that both are amazing drivers. One of the bests in F1 history. Let's take Norris as an example now. McLaren is the fastest car and Norris is the main driver. But he is still making simple mistakes right?

Its not rocket science (or well in the car itself it is) in modern F1 is 70% car 30% driver or even worst 80% car and 20% driver.

Kimi is a rookie with great talent, but there comes a point where he needs to accept the fact that the steward's decision is final, even if he doesn't like the decision, but he has to accept it. Piastri is just smart and has more experience than Kimi. If Kimi sees this as unfair, then he should learn from it, and I'm sure he will improve if he wants to learn. If he keeps whining like a child, then he won't be able to improve.

Uh...  So Piastri is the new McLaren first driver now?  Grin  I think tensions will rise and Norris will look for the exit if the team starts to favor Piastri over him.  That Aston Martin seat will look very attractive if Verstappen rejects Stroll's offer.

I really think Verstappen will be at Mercedes at some point.  We'll see how they run when the new specs come out next year.  Wink

Piastri to reach the position he is in now also through hard work and consistent performance. He also did not mind when McLaren favored Lando and did not listen to any input he gave to the team. But when he started to change the situation, and Lando felt that it was a threat to him, Lando could choose to respond by improving his performance and mentality or he could look for another team that could accommodate him with his childish nature. It's very simple. There are still many drivers eyeing the McLaren seat, and if Lando feels that he is not able to compete with Piastri, he can leave the seat.




I don't think Norris is doing any kind of shenanigans like dropping hints to the journos that there's some possibility that he could transfer to another team.  I mean they do still have the best car.  So doing so would make it look like he's the worse driver between him and Piastri.  

But eventually...  When the pressure gets to be so unbearable, he'll crack and starts talking shit.  Give it a couple more months.  Wink  It could even start after the next race if Piastri wins at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari.  Grin

Norris is currently worse than Piastri. Everybody should be able to say this easily if they are really watching the races. I don't know what's wrong with him also. Focusing issues or something else?

He even complained about Verstappen after the race about how dirty he is racing.  Cheesy  I mean of course he will do that. Piastri overtook him anyway. Why did it take you so long? Norris is at fault about missing his chance to win that race truthfully.

I dont feel sorry for Norris at all, he really have ton of chances and opportunities to show his talent (he have talent) but every time he lack of fate or guts to make it happen.

Now he is being pressure by his own teammate and team itself, and we are gonna see how much of that pressure he can take, Verstappen seems to have destroy his head with the dirty play.

Looks like the deal for Colapinto will last only 5 gps.

Meanwhile Helmut MArko is now speaking differently bout MAx Verstappen.
Now he changes his mind and he is thinking that Max will stay in Red Bull at the end of the season.

However I think they need atlast to pair the offer from Aston, and If I remember correctly was 200+ milion per year...

It was too childish of Norris to blame others for his own mistakes when he couldn't do it. Max was just doing his job to keep his opponent behind him, did he think Max would let him pass without a fight? It was just ridiculous. But what if a better car or a better contract will come?

But who would leave McClaren to get Max Verstappen? as far as I know Piastri and Norris will continue in McClaren unless I missed something. And even if one of these 2 left to leave space for signing Verstappen then you will have a problem since all these 3 are up and coming world champions that are capable of winning with a good car, so we will have the usual drama when 2 elite pilots are on the same team as we have seen in the past with Alonso and Hamilton and so on. Sometimes it's better to just have a mid tier driver with an elite driver so you don't have infighting when both are fighting for the championship. I think Verstappen will just stay in RB and hope that their car becomes better again. You never know what happens next year since it's a reset year supposedly.

I dont feel sorry for Norris at all, he really have ton of chances and opportunities to show his talent (he have talent) but every time he lack of fate or guts to make it happen.

Now he is being pressure by his own teammate and team itself, and we are gonna see how much of that pressure he can take, Verstappen seems to have destroy his head with the dirty play.

The same here about Norris. Why would I feel sorry for him in the first place? He isn't even accepting that it was his own fault in Miami. He just talks about Verstappen's driving style instead.

Looks like the deal for Colapinto will last only 5 gps.

Meanwhile Helmut MArko is now speaking differently bout MAx Verstappen.
Now he changes his mind and he is thinking that Max will stay in Red Bull at the end of the season.

This weekend MotoGP will be held at the Le Mans circuit where it is a circuit that is quite challenging and also quite unique to be used as a motorcycle racing track. marc managed to dominate free practice by recording his best time of 1:30.5. this time he even managed to break the record made by jorge martin, with a new 1m 29.855s lap record. that made marc the new record holder at le mans.

what's interesting is that quartararo, even though he didn't record the fastest time, managed to finish behind marc. this is a good thing, because this is his hometown race and he really hopes that he can win this race or at least get a podium. hopefully he can get that podium, so that the podium is not only filled by ducati.
