Working on this years car makes no sense after Mclaren got this much ahead, teams know that the yare not going to do well, and there is really no reason neither because even sponsors and fans know that they should not expect much from this years car, so no team is excited aside from maybe Mclaren fans.

Now teams are saving time and money to build cars for next season. Because the more they focus on developing their cars this season, the more time and resources are wasted on developing cars for next season - and also these small improvements may not significantly impact race results, so the constructors think they are just doing what they can, and are more focused on building cars for next season. The only team that I have seen that is making the most noise this season is Red Bull, not about improving their car, but about accusing McLaren of all their wild theories. They can't seem to accept that McLaren is above them.

Ferrari will use 2024 back rear for the next GP.
In 2024 Leclerc got the pole position and won the race win no pitstops.

So you know when you are desperate? you go back on your steps and Ferrari looks will do it.

I wouldn't call it 'desperate'.  It's more like just being pragmatic.  If something got them the win from races prior then why not use that thing again and help them win the race again?

And that supports my theory that Ferrari isn't looking to spend more money on this year's car as it's already a lost cause trying.  Next season will be a different scenario.  Ferrari will be going for the podium at every GP.

I was curious about the COTA MotoGP in April. I just saw it on Social Media. Did anyone see it live? It seems that Marquez changed bikes. He attempted to change his bike to slick tires after the sighting lap, assuming that it would be a wet race. This led to a penalty as the rules prohibit changing bikes after the sighting lap to start on slicks, especially in rainy conditions which obviously won't last long. It seemed like a good strategy, but other riders followed suit in changing bikes. So it seems that his strategy did not work as he wanted it to. In fact, Marquez had to crash. Can anyone explain this better? I'm quite curious about this.

1st week for Adrian Newy in the paddock with Aston Martin.
Well I've seen a photo of him with ASton Martin Merch and he looks older.

Anyway as I understood is not touching too much this car, his focus is almost 100% of next year car.

We know that Piastri and Lando are currently in their best form with McLaren. Both have the same ambition to get their first world championship title, and McLaren also puts both drivers in the same position, there is no driver 1 or 2, both are equally important to McLaren now. However, this could backfire on McLaren because they could lose the driver's championship this season. In this case, Zak Brown said that "equality must come before glory", he emphasized that both are equal, and let both drivers compete fairly. McLaren focuses more on the constructor's championship than taking care of the driver's championship.

And this is an opportunity for Max who is currently only 9 points behind Lando. He still has a chance to get the driver's world championship title this season by taking advantage of the competition from Lando and Piastri. He is a smart, sharp driver, and has very good experience. With Lando and Piastri who are also equally good, Max can take advantage of this and come out as champion.

This is how it looks for the weather in Monaco this weekend. 

If we have some rain during qualifying then things can get very interesting. Probably we would see quite many red flags. The track is already not forgiving for simple mistakes. I still remember Leclerc's crash during qualifying in the past.

After being able to be the fastest in FP1, now Marquez is trying to be in first position again in the Practice session at the Silverstone circuit in England. Hopefully this week can be a fun week for MotoGP riders because the weather conditions today are quite good so that the audience can expect a Sprint race and a full race in dry conditions. The Silverstone track is really quite technical and also quite challenging so that motorbikes that are not Ducati can also be very fast here such as Aprilia and Yamaha.

this should be a fun race considering the results of the practice session earlier where yamaha and aprilia were able to break ducati's dominance... i hope that in this race yamaha, aprilia, and honda can put up a good fight against ducati.  though we saw that both marquez were so dominant in the practice session earlier, but seeing how quartararo, miller, and zarco achieved, it means that they have the opportunity to improve in the sprint and full races later.

We need also to see free practice 3 and if Ferrari achieves the fastest lap there too then most likely one of the Ferrari cars is going to be on pole with Leclerc having higher chances as we know how much he loves this track. The ability of Max Verstappen to change a lot of things from Friday to Saturday is to be seen tomorrow as I doubt him to be that far away compared to the cars ahead of him. I am sure he has gotten enough data to give to his race engineers to create a better setup of the car for tomorrow qualifying that we all know how important is, usually who gets out first out the first corner is 99.99% the winner of the race. I am still amazed at McLaren drivers incapability to drive a rocket ship, they should be making every single pole and win if there were some other driver instead of them.

Ferrari's decision to bring their wing package last year showed a positive performance. In FP1, Charles got P1, even though he had to crash with Lance. And in FP2, Charles got P1 again and Lewis got P3. That made the "Prince of Monaco" get P1 in two consecutive practice sessions. But it's still too early to say that Ferrari can win the race in Monaco GP this time, since this will be a tricky race for the teams, because they have to pit at least twice, and team strategy is very important here to make sure that the drivers can pit at the right time - and unfortunately sometimes Ferrari can be very messy with their strategy. Hopefully Ferrari's strategy doesn't mess everything up.

Hopefully the riders you mentioned can give their best in today's Sprint, but before that we have to see how they all qualify in these cloudy conditions. Because soon Q1 and Q2 will start so all riders must be able to score their best time in the session and I also hope that several other manufacturers besides Ducati can make a surprise in the qualifying session and also in the Sprint later. As for the results of the FP2 that just finished, I will not take it as a reference because the time is very different from yesterday's Practice session.

I am also risking some money on Leclerc winning the pole position yet I am not that sure that is going to be as easy as it has been in these free practices, anyway all logic brings us to go and bet on him to win the pole, if we are bold enough we can even combine him to win the pole and the race. The only problem for the qualifying is that there is a 60% chance of rain which will mess up quite a few variables and the team with the best strategy for their drivers combined with their drivers bravery will end up winning the pole position. I also think and am sad that the drivers of the McLaren car cannot take a pole here, with that rocket ship they should be getting easily the pole here yet I am sure they will not be able to achieve it. The rain would make this qualifying much better and as a consequence even the race of tomorrow based on the starting grid.

The hattrick of Pole positions obtained by Fabio Quartararo really reminds me of the 2021 season because in that season he also did it. I also hope there is a Japanese brand that can compete with Ducati because that would certainly make the race more exciting and not make you sleepy when everyone watches it. But if I look at the times recorded by most of the riders in qualifying, I think the Sprint and Main Race will be very fierce and also quite exciting even though I can't guess who will win the Sprint today and the Main Race tomorrow.

As usual, the Monaco GP Qualification always presents a surprise. Lando for the first time got pole position in Monaco after beating Charles who was so dominant in the practice session. He got pole position and also set a new track record with 1:09.954. He really pushed his car and used every opportunity to beat Charles's record time.

What a qualifying session.. and I don't really expect that the full race will be as exciting as the qualifying session, but we get a new rule with 2 mandatory pit stops, I just want to see which team can take advantage of this, whether Ferrari, McLaren, or Red Bull.

I was also thinking there would be a fight between Leclerc and Verstappen only for the pole position. But it turns out we all got wrong.    Both McLarens showed a superb performance in Q3.

Norris for the pole... I don't know what to say. Him and Verstappen both are unpredictable this season. I really wanted Leclerc to get the pole there. He can still win though. It all depends on the right strategies but of course, we are talking about Ferrari at the end of the day.
