Leclerc was in beast mode today.
Sadly for him Mclaren is on another level and they took the pole from him in the last second/sector.

unlucky for hamilton with the 3 position penalty.

Mercedes can do a weird race tomorrow pitting in 1st lap and earning 1 free pit.

IT will be interesting to see on how teams are going to expoit the new rule

Red Flag after two laps when Marquez crashed was not really beneficial for Bagnaia and also some other riders, but it was very beneficial for Marco Bezzecchi and Johann Zarco because the two riders were the ones who started the race on the 10th and 9th grids but they were able to perform quite impressively by occupying first place for Bezzecchi and second place for Zarco. While Marquez was also a little lucky because he was able to complete the third position even though he had to fight fiercely with Miller and Morbidelli.

And one of the riders who was quite unfortunate in today's race was Fabio Quartararo because he had to leave the race because there was damage to the hole shot device on the back of his motorbike, even though he had led the race for several laps and was able to create a distance with all his opponents of up to 4.5 seconds.

I really waited for some action by a safety car in final laps but no... I wish Leclerc won here. It was a golden opportunity but Norris was just great this weekend. Now he is only 3 points behind Piastri in the driver standings!

Monaco is gonna be always boring is a 50 years circuit made to other cars and other era, sadly we cant expect so much and this is not gonna change until the cars become more short and not this big, the cars can just turn in the corners and nothing more, two cars side by side is impossible.

Monaco this year was boring but also interesting.
With the 2 mandatory pit boxes something changed atleast in the 1st half of the race.

This is a good solution, if they can even improve it somehow it will be even better.
Mercedes was a clowns fiesta today, with very questionable decisions.

Norris got an easy job today, easy to win with the best car on this track expecially

There wasn't much to see from the Monaco GP race, apart from the pit stop strategy and the race which felt like a driver parade. McLaren were still the best, with Lando getting his first podium in Monaco and Piastri in P3. Charles could only finish in P2, because there was nothing he could do with the conditions like that - and Hamilton could only finish in P5, behind Max who finished in P4. Mercedes' performance was quite poor in this race, with both drivers finishing outside P10.

Overall the Monaco race was very boring, even with the mandatory 2 pit stops it couldn't have any impact on the race. Hopefully next season with the new regulations we can see a more exciting Monaco GP race.

We both failed on our predictions.    Leclerc was only able to finish in the 2nd position after losing the pole to Norris.

But really, what was that race? Very tedious... Does FIA really not care about the fans or drivers at all? Verstappen also stated how boring that was.

2 pit stops don't make it more fun. Monaco shouldn't be in the calendar as long as the track stays the same.

Ah I skipped this one.  Still boring?  Yeah...  I watched qualifying tho and it almost got me excited when Leclerc was at provisional pole with Norris breaking all the excitement for me.

It was right then and there I decided not to watch the race.  Lol.  And of course, we all knew it would be boring.  The Monaco Grand Prix is nothing more but a car parade for rich folks.

Actually Marquez should be grateful because there was a red flag when he fell because without the red flag, maybe he wouldn't have gotten a podium in the race even though he could still continue the race. And another one is because of Quartararo's motorbike which was damaged when he was leading the race because if Quartararo's motorbike was not damaged, of course Marquez would not have gotten a podium in the race even though he had competed briefly with Morbidelli on the last lap.

From the start the Monaco GP was boring, there wasn't much to see on a circuit that narrow. That's why there was a push to change the layout of the Monaco circuit to make it more interesting and exciting to watch. That's what Horner said that he saw the possibility of creating a wider braking area, either at the tunnel exit or, at T1, where they could create a long braking zone. But that's just his view, the layout issue is entirely up to the FIA ​​to decide whether they consider it or not.

New week, new race... The Catalunya GP is on the horizon. I bet it is going to be much better than Monaco.    Still not one of my favourite tracks though.

Now things can get even better for Ferrari depending on how much they will upgrade the car. They already got good results in Monaco and they should aim to add more to it. I hope Leclerc or Hamilton can have a podium finish once again.

Nothing has to be done in Monaco...  More like nothing could be done.  The cars are bigger than they were and the streets will forever be narrow for the cars.  But they can't remove the race from the roster either as it's one of the most prestigious trophies to win every year.  

And...  Just let the princes and princesses have their race car parade.  It makes them feel important.  Lol.

Yeah sad but true, is really difficult to do something, is really not much more space in the "city", and the cars are bigger than ever. Plus the money and power makes it impossible to change it so much.

But like one guy said above, maybe they can change some breaking points and see if there it can be a overtake space.

Monaco I think pays about 20 million dollars to Liberty to keep the race going, and their contract was ending last I remember, so it would be even higher soon enough. Places like Saudi and Bahrein pay closer to 50 million, so Monaco will definitely not stay at 15-20 million range, maybe not go as high as 50, but surely would go to at least 30 million a year. Liberty doesn't get that many offers of 20-30 million to race anywhere else, which means they do need that money.

A full calendar, as in all races, pays them 400+ million a year, and that's just tracks, nothing more. If they keep this up then they also make money from all other stuff, and that's how they are capable of paying the teams. If they remove Monaco, that's a ton of money gone.

Yeah, the rumor came from one of the media outlets saying that Ferrari approached Horner in recent weeks to fix their inconsistent performance. The upper management of Ferrari is not happy with what their team has achieved, and thinks that Horner is a strong candidate to replace Vasseur. But this seems to be just a rumor, because we already know that Horner is a strong figure in Red Bull and has been an important person who has been with Red Bull for almost two decades - and he is also tied to a contract with Red Bull until 2030, not only as a team principal, but also CEO. So this is just a rumor, and it is very unlikely that Horner will move to Ferrari.
