The owner or the Mandalika Circuit team may not think that Dorna, has a team of investigators with the case. I hope the misbehavior committed by insiders can be a lesson, this makes Indonesian citizens ashamed. the first enthusiastic about Moto Gp in Indonesia. If this is not completed quickly, I think the Mandalika circuit could not be used this year because of the lack of standards?
The basic standard had been set by Dorna well in advance and at that time it was still in the discussion of making circuits, so I think the advice given by Dorna was very good. However, I don't know about the circuit side who played the opposite way in the construction of the circuit, but from what we can see now, it's actually very clear that not all of the circuits use Dorna standards, so there are things that need to be improved, such as the asphalt and gravel.
dorna still gives a chance, but if it's still the same one day nothing will change. maybe dorna will change her mind. That looks...  So beautiful.  Probably the best looking Ferrari car in a little while.  And yeah everybody could see the difference.  The Ferrari looks sleek at the side pods while  the Aston Martin looks bulky and kinda fat.  Now I’m really curious how these cars ride on the track.  I think this coming season could be better than the last one and the last one was really great.


Probably it will be less fun.

I'm expecting one team dominating, the one who will find a loophole while the others will need to run to top the gap.
And if the loophole will is big we can have months with 1 team dominating by minutes at the end of the race.

Fun fact every time we have a competitive year with 2 teams they reset the cars.

Fun if the team that finds a loop hole is not one of the top teams like Mercedes, Red Bull or Ferrari.  The fans will love something new even if it’s just one team dominating the season with the top teams trying to play catch up.  Lol.  I’m rooting for Aston Martin and hopefully we see Vettel’s finger back to annoy everybody.  Cheesy  Young Vettel was hilarious.

But if I were to pick a team that could find a loop hole, I think it’s Red Bull.  Newey prolly made something again with the diffuser.  Lol.  Williams could be another one.  Their senior technical team is made up of mostly newcomers in F1 who transitioned from WRC...  Out of the box thinking.  And yeah...  Merc.

And if the loophole will is big we can have months with 1 team dominating by minutes at the end of the race.

Yeah, I remember last time around Mercedes were ludicrously far ahead. It took years for other cars to get close.

Not long to wait now until pre-season testing, I can't wait. Just really hope it is more even than it has been in the past, and that the new 'closer racing' plan does actually work as intended. If it's one team heading off into the distance again whilst everyone else fights for third place, it's just not as much fun.

Not only so far is it the only one with a unique shape but it should (not confirmed yet) be the only one detachable in 2 spots!

This seems a small thing but with the salary cap since you will change a smaller part when/if it will be damaged you will end up saving a lot of money.

Masi getting "fired" was something expected after last race. We all knew that Mercedes gave up too quickly, there has to be something that needed to be talked there and there needed to be some controversy and some agreement to handle it.

I am sure that Mercedes knew that they wouldn't be able to actually win any case, it is a private entity and they could run it however they want and even if there was a mistaken way of reading the situation, it was still unclear enough to give Masi benefit of the doubt. Mercedes must have requested his head to not follow up, and F1 gave them that much. Now they have another season and this time it is a bit more clear and would help them the most.

I guess everybody saw those leaked photos right after the team saidf they aren't going to reveal them because they don't want to give other teams a heads up Cheesy
Those front wings look delicate and expensive. I don't feel like you can save a lot of money when a car is balanced so good and has so much carbon fiber in it.
Also, they now have to run bigger 18" wheels so that's going to make every car even more expensive to run and maintain.

The Mandalika Circuit will be undergoing renovations from before Turn 17 to Turn 5, which the drivers have complained about after carrying out a three-day pre-season test there.

Some of the heavy equipment arrived at the Mandalika Circuit, Lombok, on Saturday (19/2).

Furthermore, the PT. The Housing Development (PP) will begin to exfoliate the track surface and will simultaneously set-up the Asphalt Mixing Plant (AMP) while waiting for the rest of the equipment to arrive.

MGPA President Director Priandhi Satria emphasized that all parties are working quickly to ensure the track is ready when the Indonesian MotoGP takes place on March 18-20.

"We are moving quickly so that the repair of the track surface is according to the schedule that has been set. Alhamdulillah, most of the heavy equipment has arrived and the repair work process can start immediately,” he said.

The man who is familiarly called Andhi emphasized that the target for the track repair process is expected to be completed on March 10, 2022. Apart from heavy equipment, PT PP has also ensured the readiness of raw materials for asphalt.

"The team from PT PP, which is in Palu and accompanied by consultants, has ensured the quality of the raw materials and ensured the loading of raw materials onto the ship which will be sent in the near future to be used as a new asphalt layer," he said.

Previously, the President Director of PT PP Novel Arsyad assured that his party was committed to making the asphalt surface of the Mandalika Circuit meet race safety and security standards and complete the work on time.

“Technology, methods, materials, and work equipment also use the best specifications according to FIM standards. We will exfoliate the top layer of asphalt which is approximately 4 cm thick and immediately re-paved,” he explained
Paving is carried out after Turn 16 which leads to a straight track sector of 507 meters, up to Turn 5. In total, the track to be re-paved reaches about 17.5 percent of the entire track.

In the pre-season test at Mandalika, all the drivers had the same complaint about small stones bouncing when following their opponents.
In fact, the Ducati racer, Francesco Bagnaia, suffered a bruise on his left hand due to being hit by a rock while following another motorbike.
Exfoliated asphalt conditions can also be dangerous for drivers, considering that when racing they will push hard to get the best results.

I'm quite surprised actually at the differences across all the teams, they all seem to be trying something a bit different to each other. And of course we don't really know much about the underfloor arrangement yet either, which will be crucial this season... but I suspect there will be some big differences between teams there, too.

I hope this work is successful and does not repeat the mistakes of yesterday. maybe Mandalika will be the best circuit place from other circuits, with the advantage of the other side having the natural beauty that Mandalika has. tourists who will watch the live race will definitely feel at home, as other racers admit Mandalika is a must-visit place.

Andretti sports has decided to fill out an application to have their own team on F1 as well. They have been a big force in indycar so far and CART as well, they are a great team and they have amazing domination wherever they went to.

I do not think that they would be dominating F1 at all, but they certainly have the talent and the funds to put up a team, and with the new cap rules that means they could end up putting a good team out there with a good car. Even if nothing else, they could be fighting Haas for the bottom spot Smiley all jokes aside they are certainly bringing something new to the table and another USA based team would be awesome to see as well.

This happens when they have a new paper where they can draw.
For the start, we will see a lot of new things but later everyone will probably follow the leading car.

The speculation for the past year was to have these cars 3-4 seconds slower for a lap but now with more data, they are talking about only 0.5-1 second slower for a lap.

It will be impressive, these cars will be slower in straight but faster on turns and they were already fast

It will be a great relief for Formula 1 enthusiasts that Lewis has shown himself to the world again. Everyone thought he might retire from F1, but he just needed some time to himself to sort it all out. Not winning the world title has had the necessary impact on him. I think mostly the way it went, he will still feel robbed. Michael Masi has since been fired. He will now recharge and go full for the new title. Without Lewis, Verstappen would win with his eyes closed.

Another (good) change for this year.

They changed the qualify Q2.

Now there is no longer the obligation to use the tire with which the best time was obtained in Q2 as the first tire for the races.

That's actually a great change in my opinion too. In this way we will have more diversity in strategies for qualies and also small teams can fight for top 10 but this is just on paper as we still have to see the first quali of the year in order to understand how this new cars will perform from Q1 to Q3 and then we can see how Q2 will affect the Q3 and probably start of the race as well.

Masi getting "fired" was something expected after last race. We all knew that Mercedes gave up too quickly, there has to be something that needed to be talked there and there needed to be some controversy and some agreement to handle it.

I am sure that Mercedes knew that they wouldn't be able to actually win any case, it is a private entity and they could run it however they want and even if there was a mistaken way of reading the situation, it was still unclear enough to give Masi benefit of the doubt. Mercedes must have requested his head to not follow up, and F1 gave them that much. Now they have another season and this time it is a bit more clear and would help them the most.
Massi head was needed and sacking him is cheap way for F1 to solve problem and they simply had no other choice. But I'm sure that he will get good position in FIA organization. It would be difficult to imagine him staying in F1 after thing which happened.

Andretti sports has decided to fill out an application to have their own team on F1 as well. They have been a big force in indycar so far and CART as well, they are a great team and they have amazing domination wherever they went to.

I do not think that they would be dominating F1 at all, but they certainly have the talent and the funds to put up a team, and with the new cap rules that means they could end up putting a good team out there with a good car. Even if nothing else, they could be fighting Haas for the bottom spot Smiley all jokes aside they are certainly bringing something new to the table and another USA based team would be awesome to see as well.
It would be interesting to see Andrettin in F1, I believe they're able to make competetive team. I'm sure that they wouldn't be that bad as HRT, Lotus or Virgin which were accepeted in 2010. But F1 isn't going to consider their application now and seems that they don't want to have 11th team on the grid:

Maybe it's possible that they would try to buy Haas after not successful attempt to buy Sauber.

I hope this work is successful and does not repeat the mistakes of yesterday. maybe Mandalika will be the best circuit place from other circuits, with the advantage of the other side having the natural beauty that Mandalika has. tourists who will watch the live race will definitely feel at home, as other racers admit Mandalika is a must-visit place.

The contractor has to fix the flaws where have attention from the racer a while ago that's what pre-session is purpose. I believe after completed, the racer will feel satisfied and happy while enjoying the panorama around the circuit. And I believe bend 6 and 7 which best bend but got complained because of lots of pebbles peeling off to be the best bend in the world.

But for me personally, the Phillip Island circuit in Australia is still very good in terms of layout and natural beauty, because Australia is like the end of the world that must be visited by everyone because it is really beautiful and makes Mandalika still inferior compared to Australia.

The gravel also needs to be repaired because Jorge Martin once complained about the sharp stone like a knife, so that also needs to be looked at and replaced with a better one because if everything improves, then Mandalika will be in the list of the best circuits in the world.

More than analyzing the difference between the cars, it's knowing whether these proposed changes will in fact eliminate or at least reduce the problem of 'dirty air' that has long made overtaking difficult for drivers, as they are unable to follow their rivals closely. , as well as reducing overall performance gaps between teams.
Drivers are still too skeptical to say, but it seems to me that the aerodynamic concept of the cars is fundamentally different from what it was until last year, but we'll wait for the pre-season to be able to say if that really helped or not.

I am really surprised that those two cars look so different if you directly compare them. If you only see each car on its own, they look almost completely identical, but here it becomes pretty obvious that there are huge differences between Ferrari and Mercedes. The very slim and pointy nose of the Ferrari is really something special and pretty unique so far amongst the revealed cars. I also really like that Mercedes went back and used the silver livery again, in the end the silver arrows are a huge part of the success story and the image of Mercedes as a great car manufacturer. I hope it will be an interesting F1 season again this year.
