The talk about "why" they are keep the race going was the fact that people were afraid what would happen to them if they stopped the race and went back home. I mean it is not like Saudi kingdom knows the limitations of their power, we all know they killed a journalist and then after that happened, went ahead and bought newcastle and people were literally happy about it. Think about that for a second, this is the same people... that killed a journalist and chopped him to pieces... then newcastle fans were happy for their team to be sold to them.

When these things happen, that gives you confidence and F1 as a whole felt like scared and keeps it going, what if they do not even let you leave, not like much could be done about it, they are in their land.

Well I think it is all about money, reading the comments in F1 Instagram page, the most common comment for the things that happened, the rocket that hit just 20-30 km near the track and everything, the comment was

"We race as One bank account" making fun of the official against racism motto of F1.

Which means it is all about the money,F1 is a sport of a lot of money so normally they would not care too what Saudi does as long as their goal of making the race happen and getting the money is happening. No one forced them to stay,it was a commonly taken decision by all the teams and all the people of F1,this shows that unfortunately money is above all,yes that is the world we are living in.

It looks set to be a drama for Mercedes this season and also for Hamilton individually, of course. I have my doubts whether Mercedes will perform even better. In that case, it will still be between Red Bull and Ferrari, but in particular between Leclerc and Verstappen. So we could see a copy of last year between 2 rivals, but then the role of Hamilton is now taken over by Leclerc. I'll give him that. Think it will be a big embarrassment for Hamilton because his car is not good enough. It is a bit of a surprise to me why Ferrari is suddenly such in a good form.

They are talking about a big update coming between Imola and Barcelona.

So they will have a big step in 3 GPs, meanwhile we don't know when Ferrari and Redbull will have their update.

Every team seems to have some official sponsorship from any of the trusted crypto platform. Looking upon an image it looks like the cars aren't roaring against each other, it is the cryptocurrencies that are roaring against each other.

Ferrari is in the crypto world too. Not an exchange.

The qualifying session was really breathtaking. I meant especially the Q3 part. But before that, Mick Schumacher's horrifying accident must be very scary for all of us. He lost control of his car while he was speeding at around 270-280 kph and he had a really big crash. Thankfully, he had no problem after being carried by an ambulance to hospital. And when it comes to Q3, the last moments were incredible. Leclerc missed the pole position chance by a very small margin. Perez had an insane lap and got past him by a little gap and captured the pole.

The track is a horrible one, we have known this for a long time. It is one of the fastest street circuits in the world and crashes always happen, yesterday there were 2 crashes with Cem Bolukbasi and Pourchaire, today we had latifi which was a different corner but Mick as well on the same place. Plus Mick has an f1 car under him and even though it has better grip and downforce, it is also much much faster so his crash was a lot worse. The track definitely doesn't deserve to be in F1 without a doubt. That alone would have been an understandable reason to remove this track from the season. I am not even going into the whole "a missile was struck 7 miles away from the track" dilemma because that is so obviously going to "cash is king" that we can't even begin to talk about how wrong it is for them to race there. I get that all those human rights and all that would matter for western tracks too, but we have never seen or even assumed a missile would happen in any west, hell I rather put back Sochi into the season than keep racing in Saudi Arabia.

I am %100 sure that when this is over, when they are finally out, they will have a meeting and will talk with FIA and F1 to talk about this "cash is king" situation. Sure Saudis are paying a lot to keep this track, but I am %100 sure that they could find a lower amount of sponsors and track instead of Aramco and Jeddah, and still make it work somehow. This is just waaaay too risky to keep it going. I say this is the last time we have a Jeddah track on the season ever again for many many years to come.

Andi Gilang's captivating performance was shown when he won Race 1 in the 600cc ARRC Thailand SuperSports class at Chang Circuit, Buriram, Saturday (26/3/2022). Starting from pole position, Andi Gilang immediately took over the status of race leader.

"This is a very tough race. Very difficult to manage tires. Usually we have speed in tests and practice, but in this race, we struggled in terms of speed," said Andi Gilang after the race.

“Helmi and Nakarin tried to attack, but I was able to handle it. This is a very tough race. The level is very high.

"I'm happy with the win, but we can't relax. There's still a second race tomorrow (Sunday)."

I am also very proud when I see young Indonesians win in the event, because it can also be a very good capital to go to a higher racing event because until now there are no Indonesian riders in the MotoGP class except below.

I just read the news, I admit he is still young and quite talented, but for ride in MotoGP I believe he still need for many experience in Moto3 and Moto2. I remembered he was ever ride in Moto2 for replace Dimas Eki, but he ride is not as expected, so that back ride in Moto3. I'm proud for him, i hope he returns back to moto2 and won like he was today.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) expressed its desire to hold a MotoGP world championship, after the success of bringing Formula 1 to Jeddah.
Racing, or often called motorsport, seems to be one of the sectors included in the Saudi Vision 2030 campaign. This can be seen when Saudi Arabia held Formula E and the Dakar Rally.

Shortly thereafter, in January 2020, Formula 1 announced the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The deal is worth around 535 million euros which is for 10 years.
However, some sources say that the number of agreements between F1 management and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reaches up to 800 million euros.

Ahead of the second round of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, the Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, said that KSA was interested in MotoGP.
Furthermore, he hinted that maybe his party would hold the world's prestigious motorcycle race at the Qiddiyah Circuit which will be ready in 2024.

"The kingdom has become the home of motorsport in the region," he said.

“We aim to increase the number of motorsport championships we host, and we are thinking of hosting MotoGP at the right time, but need another type of track compared to Jeddah."

"When the new motorsport (area) of motorsport and entertainment city in Qiddiyah will be completed, we will consider this championship (MotoGP) for the future."

Source: Motorsport.com and gpzone.id

It would be even more interesting if world motorcycle racing events such as MotoGP could be in Saudi Arabia because Saudi Arabia is a very beautiful and rich country. I personally would be very happy if MotoGP could be there in the future.

Already 1.28.8 and Hamilton is out from Q1. 16th  Shocked

Ferrari and RBR are in another level

I think Hamilton is getting frustrated at how slow the car is, and went for quite an extreme set-up in qualifying, which obviously back-fired and left him way down the grid. If you're used to being at the front, but your car is only good enough for 5th on the grid and a long way back from the top two teams, then it's understandable that you're going to take a gamble... after all, you're not losing much, and chances are you can get back up to 5th/6th in the race even starting from 16th. I think this explains it.

Perez ahead of Ferraris and Max behind is a bit of a surprise though, I think just everything came together for Perez and he drove the perfect lap. Still expect Max to finish ahead of him in the race.

The biggest disappointment of the day was Hamilton's not being able to qualify for even Q2. He improved his best time in the last moments but Stroll got past him later on and he finished the session in 16th position. And I wonder what was the difference between his and Russell's car as Russell ended the full session in 6th position. Hamilton was still complaining about porpoise issue before the qualifying. Maybe he was having that problem more seriously. I will be watching him too about whether he can climb many positions and end the race in top 10. I believe he will.

Even though he has never won in MotoGP, Aleix Espargaro still has a record to be proud of in his career. That pride is often finishing better than his teammates in the World Championships. In fact, the racer who had a tandem with the MotoP pilot from Granollers is not a sloppy figure.

These heroes include Scott Redding, Andrea Iannone, Bradley Smith and Maverick Vinales.
Aleix Espargaro then emphasized that he was difficult to beat with the same bike.

"Every year it is said: 'He who comes now will be before him'."

"Then: 'The one that comes next year will definitely land in front of him'."

"They are all fast racers."

"If you look, Bradley Smith is sixth in the World Championship with Yamaha. It's not easy."

"Scott Redding is a world champion."

"Andrea Iannone won the Ducati with me."

"Now Maverick, who has won many races with Yamaha, comes."

"I'm trying my best. I'm comfortable with Aprilia."

"I think it's not easy to beat me with the same bike," concluded the 32-year-old racer.

I was even a little surprised when I saw a rider like Aleix Espargaro, who is not young anymore, has never had a single victory in the MotoGP class, so that he has never been signed by a big and strong team in MotoGP.

Once wait and see whether the RedBull this time through stop, they have apparently found the error.

I agree that Ferrari is the best overall car for most of the tracks but not at this one which is heavily relied on the top speed of the car and acceleration,it looked in the first race that Redbull has some slight advantage in the top speed and this track is all about that, that is why Perez yesterday become the first Mexican ever to sit on Pole Position,it was history written for him during yesterday and in the after qualifying interview he said that this is the most difficult track to drive,it means since we got Pole here we can get it anywhere else.Of course this was because of the enthusiasm of the moment as in most tracks I am sure Ferrari will hit poles.

I also do not write off Mercedes, they told Hamilton we have a lot of pace to find out up until Silverstone or something those lines.

At the moment, Hamilton's task is to try to keep up with the leaders to a critical distance (by the way, high competition in the top is beneficial for him here) and wait for an upgrade from Mercedes. If the upgrade gets Mercedes back in business and can compete for top spots, then this season could be "fixed", but if there is no significant improvement, then of course the season will be completely lost. 4-5 places is not something interesting for Mercedes.

Perez got the god LAP.
Side note, Tsunoda got another fuel problem, is it a red bell for RBR?

Yup it's def a red flag for Red Bull especially if you're thinking of backing either Verstappen or Perez.  I think Leclerc wins this tbh.  And if really one of the Red Bulls win, I think it's more likely Verstappen than Perez imho, even if Perez has pole.  Verstappen just has better race craft and better pace.  The first 5 laps should be interesting.

Do the teams declare which tire they start with or is it a surprise?  Verstappen could start with the mediums, pit later than Leclerc and go for the undercut after Leclerc makes the pit.

Max won but I think they "robbed" the race with the safety car, they were 1.6 behind and after the virtual safety car they were on DRS range.

Fun race but feels like a robbery, they also did same shit with Perez vs Sainz before the 1st safety car

Great race and great driving from all the drivers but not for Ocon as he managed to launch into Stroll and literally crashed my ticket with him as well  Grin Grin as I have Stroll to be winner of group 4 and I was so freaking close.

Now , nostalgia for 2 weeks pause without F1 and in 3rd race we should see who really has the best car for 1st half of the season.
