The clear favourite is Bagnaia, that he won't be champion is very unlikely but Lin Jarvis is still clutching at that little straw like in the 2006 World Championship when Rossi went into the final as the leader and by a crash he made Nicky Hayden to the World Champion, but Fabio would still have to win which I think is unlikely.
That small chance or most likely impossible for Quartararo to shift Bagnaia's place. All fans most likely hope he crashes and Quartararo goes to the podium, but in sports is not always as expected, some time is far from hope, and this year we sure will have a new champion, Ducati, Bagnaia has a good hand. Seem interesting when I look at the champion's history, 2019 is Honda, 2020 is Suzuki, 2021 is Yamaha, and 2022 is Ducati.

I doubt Bagnaia will be stupid enough to go and crash in this last race.He should be a rational rider and even ride somewhat slower than normal,it is important for him to be in the upper places of the points but he does need a win at all cost to become World Champion.

Quartaro had his chances and he lost them by crashing several times or not riding as well in some races, his chances are extremely slim to become World Champion this year.Nevertheless whoever wins this MotoGP is not the same compared with the times of Rossi,Biaggi,Stoner,Lorenzo and others.

Of course it is clear that you can't compare the seasons, for me this is just a straw for Jarvis, so that you don't put your head in the sand. Also Bagnaia has learned a lot this season and I think he doesn't want to risk everything, he said in an interview that he lost a lot of points because of his own mistakes and 4 crashes, Baganai was almost 100 points behind Fabio and nobody has ever managed to make up such a big gap.

I would say that you can't compare the 2-stroke 500cc class with anything else, Rossi and Doohan...

Max Verstappen decided to boycott Sky F1 after their reporter Ted Kravitz said that Lewis Hamilton was robbed on last race of previous season in Abu Dhabi. Such statements is one of reason why I can't watch races on Sky F1. They have great coverage of race, but when it comes to Hamilton, they're so biased and don't even try to be neutral. When you're neutral spectator or support other driver than Lewis, it really annoys.

Tsunoda and Ricciardo collision isn't a pretty sight too. Not happy with only a 10-second penalty right there and I believe it should have been more.
Well, rules are rules, 10 seconds is already quite strict penalty, though, it could be something like stop and go penalty. Because now he eliminated his opponent from race and that penalty cost hime zero positions.
There is a double standard here if we are going to side with one of them. Ted Kravitz has all the right in the world to say that Lewis was robbed a championship and last year should have been Lewis and not Max, he has that RIGHT to say that.

But, it also means that Max has every right to be upset about it and not give any interviews or speeches or even a response to any Sky related channel neither. These are not mutually combined things, both Ted can say whatever he wants and Max could decline to speak to them, it could happen at the same time.

Looking at responses to this, one side says Ted shouldn't have said that, and the other side says Max should get over it and talk to Sky, we can have both at the same time without a problem. What kind of sport would it be if we forced Ted to apologize? That would be horrible, or what kind of sport it would be if we forced Max to speak to Sky?

^  I wouldn't say 'robbed' as Verstappen didn't do anything to take anything from Hamilton.  It was the FIA's fault...  'Michael, Michael this is so not right' will be a classic quote that will live on and be repeated again and again for years.

But yeah..  I could see both sides having they're own right to say and think what they want.  But Ted Kravitz should be a tad more careful what he says in his show as it's really a touchy issue and he's a journo ffs.  I've said this before...  What the FIA should've done was release the drivers a couple or more laps before the lap they were released and without letting Verstappen lapping the drivers in front of him.  That would've been a better way to do it.  A fair way.

Tomorrow is the last weekend of the MotoGP season, and unlike Formula 1 in MotoGP there are still two riders with a chance to win the title, even if the chance are small and almost impossible for Fabio. I expect Bagnaia to risk everything in qualifying to start from the front and ride the race more comfortably and safely. Fabio, on the other hand, has to risk everything and go to the limit every day.

It looks like Daniel Ricciardo is really close to becoming the third driver for Mercedes.

This must be still good news for Ricciardo because he hasn't been able to find a new team for himself until now. He has been speculated with some teams like Alpine and Haas but there hasn't been any positive or negative development about them. In fact, Alpine preferred to bring Gasly instead. I think that their next season could be really interesting with two young and competitive drivers.

Coming back to Ricciardo, it would be nice for him to be in one of the strongest teams in this situation. He would be like the backup driver for Hamilton until Hamilton retires. In this time period, I wonder if Ricciardo would like to leave if he gets an offer from a team as one of the main drivers. Because we don't know when Hamilton will retire. Maybe he will continue until winning his 8th world title.

I was thinking a bit on the other side. I still think that everyone should have lapped the safety car to put the order in earlier. That way it would be from 1st to 20th (except the dnf cars already) in correct order when it started. Saying only the ones between Max and Lewis should lap safety car was the real problem.

Not that they restarted the race, of course that was the point, they wouldn't want the very last lap of the race that decided the winner on a season where 2 drivers came to last race with exact same points to 0.5 part it's exact same points, so they wanted them to race to end. Just let EVERYONE pass so the order would be right, then same result would be there, Max would have won again, but it would have made sense at least.

Haas has still not decided on the second driver of the following year.

Today they released an interview and said the spot would be 50 / 50 between Schumacher and Hulkeberg.

Steiner spoke too and he said the fine done to RBR is ridiculous and they will not penalize them at all.

I don't even argue whether his words is is right or no and I don't think that Ted should apologize for his words, that's his opinion after all. My point that Sky coverage is just so biased, when they're supposed to be neutral.. It wouldn't be problem if they would broadcast for UK only - it's normal to support your driver. But problem that they're covering F1 for most part of English speaking world like US, Australia, South Africa and etc. F1 TV streaming service also using their feed

If Bagnaia wants his race to be safer, then there is no need to take more risks in his last race to ensure he is world champion this season. Because Bagnaia only needs to target himself in the top ten if he wants to play safely and vice versa for Fabio who has to take more risks and also try as hard as possible to get a win in this last series.

Haas has still not decided on the second driver of the following year.

Today they released an interview and said the spot would be 50 / 50 between Schumacher and Hulkeberg.

Steiner spoke too and he said the fine done to RBR is ridiculous and they will not penalize them at all.

So he quit on his idea to get Ricciardo if Daniel wanted to come, just some weeks ago Steiner said that I am not pressuring Daniel to come to Haas but that he would welcome him if decided to come to Haas. Now I see that it is going to be 50/50 between young Schumi and Hulkenberg and from these two honestly the better driver we all know who is,Hulkenberg in my opinion because of a much better experience in F1 so far while Schumi will have his time to improve and bring some quality racing.

Besides MotoGP, tomorrow the Moto2 class will also be very interesting to watch because there are two riders who are also competing for the Moto2 world champion this season, they are Ai Ogura from the Idemitsu team and Agusto Fernandez from the KTM team.

The interesting thing is that the point difference between the two is not that far, which is around 9.5 points for Ai Ogura who is in second place in the standings. And obviously tomorrow these two riders will try to get the win because Ogura needs to win to make sure the world champion if Fernandez doesn't get the podium tomorrow, but if Fernandez gets the podium, then the world champion will be Fernandez

I think Daniel will go towards reserve driver for Mercedes kind of role with the hopes that Hamilton would retire in a few years and he could take the spot for a few years and actually win something in a big team.

But, by the looks of it that’s not going to happen because there is a chance Hamilton may race as much as 5 seasons more, and that’s not really an easy thing to wait for, and Daniel is not young enough to wait 5 more seasons, if it was just 1-2 that would make sense. As much as I really hate to say this, but there is a huge chance that Danial Ricciardio will be out of the league after this year, lower level teams shown no interest, and higher level ones already have their team :/.

Verstappen has apparently broken all records that can be broken. Particularly handsome, if you look at how long he has only been driving in F1 now. I don't think there is a greater talent than him out there right now. Drivers like Leclerc are also extremely talented, but they don't come close to Verstappen. And that goes for everything else too. I think next year we will have a pretty boring championship like this again, if I have heard correctly Verstappen has won the race no less than 13 times this season. That's unimaginable, and we're not even at the end yet. I don't think this record will be equaled for the time being, or it must be that Verstappen will be able to personally drive that record out of the books next year. It's a shame we don't have Schumacher in F1 anymore, I would have liked to see how the battle would be with him and Verstappen.

After today's free practices for the Moto GP, we have a not-so-fast Bagnaia and a faster Quartararo.

Keep in mind that the Ducati drivers need only 2 points to be champion, always if Quartararo wins and Ducati can even stop all their drivers to let him pass, he just need not crash  Grin

Even if Bagnaia is only 8th on the grid, it will be almost impossible for Fabio to win tomorrow, passing Martin and Marc will be almost impossible. Bagnaia will try not to drop out and just want to finish in the points.

Ducati will pay a bonus for the riders who finish ahead of Fabio on a Ducati 🤣🤣

Bagnaia just need not crash or have one of his Ducati friends win the race.

If he fails, he will fail maybe the only shot he got in his live.

The most important record is still waiting for being broken by him in the future. I mean the total championship count. Hamilton and Schumacher are sharing the record by 7 titles for now. And Hamilton still has a chance to improve the record until retiring as well. Verstappen is still a very young driver and I believe we will watch him in F1 for a very long time period. I don't think he will be a driver like Raikkonen for example. He actually seemed to be like that after his statement about being ambitious for titles first. But his current performance shows clearly that he would go for breaking the record I mentioned as well.

Considering the years ahead of him it isn't too difficult for him to do it.

Valencia will be the last race of the season and Ricardo Tormo will be the circuit to determine the MotoGP world champion between Francesco Bagnaia and Fabio Quartararo.
The difference in points between Bagnaia and Quartararo is 23 points. This means that Bagnaia cannot fail to finish. If Francesco Bagnaia who will start from number 8 falls and Fabio Quartararo who starts from number 4 succeeds on the 1st podium, then Bagnaia's hopes for world champions fail.

Can Francesco (Pecco) Bagnaia bring success to Ducati?

I don't think he will be a driver like Raikkonen for example. He actually seemed to be like that after his statement about being ambitious for titles first. But his current performance shows clearly that he would go for breaking the record I mentioned as well.

Considering the years ahead of him it isn't too difficult for him to do it.

@CLS63 you’re absolutely correct and Hamilton could have broken that record, but the officials stole his victory in the final race in a controversial fashion and sadly there’s nothing that can be done about it now. Furthermore I believe that Max will not only break that record, but he’ll create a new record which won’t be broken for a very long time.
