SCAM ALERT: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1426466.0

TLDR: Lannister is a bought account from an asian kid, self-mod topic to remove any 'unwanted' posts, no demo/working prototype and less 2 months until the release, no funds/team to build the project, empty repo / copycat fork with 4 commits (mirror).

This message constantly gets removed. So please quote repost it.

I will keep posting the message on a daily basis because I consider it as my duty.

This is definately not a scam check the github commits and go through the code, I looked at it for around 5 hours and definately there is some serious development going on. I also posted this in the other thread just take a look.

How many donations where collected so far? when is the final day to invest?

Quote
Holy guacamole! We are currently giving away Elastic Coins to all of our donators. Want some? Be quick! The coin distribution ends when Bitcoin block 425920 has passed.

Is very long time! After the Bitcoin halving.
Yeah i agree with you. Why end time is longer?

I have created an automatic delete bot that will constantly and automatically remove posts from certain unwanted users:

Link: https://github.com/OrdinaryDude/XXLTerminate
(It is mostly based on XSTerminate but slightly changed and adapted to work flawlessly with the current version of the forum.
But the credits go to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=850210.0)

I will add some more fancy features to it if requested.

Outstanding job, mate!
Trolls and other haters run wild on Bitcointalk, and there's little ordinary users can do about it.
Up until now. I have installed your software on the server and it seems to work fine so our annoying trollerino "-Greed-" should be banished forever.

No, I will not disclose my real name on the Internet. The very simple reason I’m anonymous is so that I can talk freely about a free web. One mistake people often make is having the faulty assumption that knowing my real name or my association with a respected person, group or organization might get them to trust me more. In fact, I have no authority here. Elastic Project is a loosely associated group of developers which constantly changes over time. If you prefer projects with a more centralized structure, then please move on. Specifically, I kindly ask you to refrain from any messages that try to convince me of the contrary. My time is too valuable to be wasted with the same discussion again and again.

Noooo ELA would have been a better choice. Tongue

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

Not sure why people say this is dragging on too long.  The core functionality is still a work in progress.  What would be the point of ending the ICO earlier without the core functionality in place.  I'm sure E-K could slap something together, but that's not what this project is about.

I think there won't be any tokens, just a genesis block.

I read the information on the website and that I understand
1.this list on btc address from section - donate now
2.wait end
and it's all? how do I then get their XEL if I'm not registered and do not leave your e-mail for communication? (Will transfer funds to blockchain.info)
I myself will have somewhere to seek public key? or it will come somewhere? and what I do with it then

would be good to see that plane flying. alot of people tried to succeed that, what you want to make happen. Will wait for a running demo.

There is no technical description in the whitepaper, how you want to built the supercomputer on a blockchain or p2p tech. Would be great if I could read the concept, but you keep it secret, i guess.

If you have the private key of the bitcoin address you sent the money from, this should be enough.

They will be sending XEL to the equivalent address on the XEL blockchain, generated by those private keys you already own from the btc blockchain.

They will also (hopefully) make it easy to import those private keys into the XEL client and then you'll see your coins once the client syncs.

At least it better like I'm describing be or my donation went down the drain.

Would anyone volunteer to create and share an instructional video with us explaining the donation process? It could be for example possible to cover the slight differences in the donation process depending on the type of wallet that is used. Or one could in an exemplary manner discuss the process using BCI's wallet.

I would suggest to give away 1 BTC for that.
