Is there an solution, so that wattman will not reset the settings ? I have not overclocked, some cards will set at a less gpu clock, to keep the temp lower, But sometime wattman crashes and reset all and then overheats my room :-) minersoftware will not crash only wattmann,
There is also a new AMD driver available 18.2.1, hope it is better, Got 2 rigs with 12 AMD R9 390 and the consume much and also produce much heat

hi folks, i'm wondering if sombody could help me out with my MSI rx 480 4gb gaming x hynix memory rig. i'm only getting max. 21mh/s with a modded bios timing strap from 1500 to 2000, core clock gives me no difference, memclock 1900 gives me 19-20 mh/s and memclock to 2000 gives me 21.3 mh/s. other timing straps gives me even more less.. at the wall i'm getting +- 140 watt each card. since yesterday my computer even refuse to instal my cards. i already have multiple times deleted the drivers with ddu. i'm using windows 10 and have try driver 16.9.2, 16.10.3 15.12, 18.2 all off the drivers only work with one card but when i plug them in all togheter they dont work, only the first time that i installed everything they all worked and where able to mine but only with 20.7 mh/s. my risers are all fine and already have try new risers and a new clean windows 10 also. but nothing works :s when i plug everything in ,the fans are blowing normal but when i log in the drivers keep repeating to install my screen keeps flickering, like the cards are keep trying to install but it always fail. hope sombody can give me some other suggestions that i can try. trying to flash the original bios to see if that works is going to be difficult because i lost it.. i have found a rom the rom that i have flashed on techpowerup
1. You are risking to brick the GPU by flashing a downloaded BIOS image. Just move the 1500 or custom timing to 1750 to 2000 straps and overclock manually by MSI Afterburner or OverDriveNTool. 2. How many GPUs do you have and what's your MOBO? If 4+ GPUs, have you enabled Above 4G Decoding/Mining Mode? Above 4G Decoding works only in UEFI environment<>Windows installation must be UEFI as well. 3. You were getting low hashrate because none of 15.x-16.x drivers have the DAG fix (you are attempting to mine ETH or ETC, performance of both affected by DAG size) and the DAG fix was not activated in 18.2. I'd go with AMD 17.12.1 driver, it seems stable and enable Compute Workload for all GPUs (AMD Preferences>Settings>General>Gaming>select Compute Workload).

I have unusual situation: my PSU made much noise in ETH mode only. So, I have to continue with dual mining in order to reduce the noise. Stupid situation, but can't do nothing.
Strange situation at all, probably for some reason in ETH mode your setup is consuming more power from PSU. I tried with my rigs and the only way to do that is when I’m using stock config of my GPUs and the power consumption is higher. [/quote] He did not specify what kind of noise his PSU emits - is it fan noise or coil whine. Coil whine can actually be much more audible at lower power load.

RX 580 8G, Hynix memory (2225 MHz IIRC). I'm pretty happy with the speed, yeah. I reach 31.6 MH/s per card with a clock of 2250 MHz but shit happens from time to time (although my memory errors appear to be very very very low).
Care to share your config file (memory and core speeds and voltages) ? What's your per gpu consumption? 1200 & 2225 MHz 900 mV for everything Power consumption between 850 and 950 W for the whole rig (6 cards)

ASRock H81 Pro BTC doesn't have the 4G decoding option, you can skip it. Start with 1950-2000 memory clock and 900-925 memory voltage, add gradually memclock and decrease voltage, checking memory errors through HWInfo64.

Thanks. Yep I had that numbers back in June (when I was on solo mining) but I pay a lot for electricity so power consumption is a major issue for me. My 580s average is 29.5, but they consume 135w each (1150 and 2080-2250, 850mv for everything) Thanks for sharing. Btw, what cards do you have? Mine are Sapphire Nitro+ 580 8GB (Hynix).

I am fairly new at this and have been reading a lot to get up to speed. I have my first rig set up with two RX580 Red Dragon cards (needless to say I should have bought 3 since my plan was to build a trio). I have the system running pretty smooth with smOS. I am dual mining Ethereum and Sia. One of the cards is not performing as well as the other. Purchased from the same retailer the same day. Probably doesn't mean anything and could still be different chipsets.
Here is what I am currently getting: ETH - Total Speed: 56.308 Mh/s, Total Shares: 1141, Rejected: 0, Time: 11:18 ETH: GPU0 26.916 Mh/s, GPU1 29.392 Mh/s SC - Total Speed: 1126.154 Mh/s, Total Shares: 321, Rejected: 0 SC: GPU0 538.314 Mh/s, GPU1 587.840 Mh/s GPU0 t=64C fan=60%%, GPU1 t=58C fan=47%%
I have it set to: Core: 1200 Memory: 2200 Undervolting: 950 Powerstage: 2
I have played around with these settings but can't seem to get it to be higher on GPU0.
Anyone have an Idea or is this the best I am going to get?
Thanks.
Mining dual sia is a waste of energy now. With your setup you get 1 or 2 SC a day (maybe 5 cents). What's your speed with solo ETH mining? I played around with it a bit and a little higher numbers and the small fluctuations in Mh/s I had are almost none existent. ETH - Total Speed: 56.873 Mh/s, Total Shares: 20, Rejected: 0, Time: 00:13 ETH: GPU0 27.340 Mh/s, GPU1 29.533 Mh/s ETH - Total Speed: 56.872 Mh/s, Total Shares: 20, Rejected: 0, Time: 00:13 ETH: GPU0 27.336 Mh/s, GPU1 29.536 Mh/s GPU0 t=63C fan=47%%, GPU1 t=52C fan=47%% ETH - Total Speed: 56.836 Mh/s, Total Shares: 20, Rejected: 0, Time: 00:13 ETH: GPU0 27.305 Mh/s, GPU1 29.531 Mh/s GPU0 t=63C fan=47%%, GPU1 t=52C fan=47%% ETH - Total Speed: 56.855 Mh/s, Total Shares: 20, Rejected: 0, Time: 00:13 ETH: GPU0 27.323 Mh/s, GPU1 29.531 Mh/s I have it now set to: Core: 1200 Memory: 2250,2225 Undervolting: 900 Powerstage: 2 GPU0 still is much lower. Anyone any idea of settings I could use to make that one faster? Thanks.

read the Readme file once more Use -di to select GPU's to mine with EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal 0xd69af2a796a737a103f12d2f0bcc563a13900e6f -epsw x -eworker rig1 -di 1 (to use GPU #1 for mining)

Or manually disable a gpu while mining by pressing "0", for example.

Hi Admin, Is there any chance that GPU wattage can be added to the miner's API for remote monitoring purposes? I hope that maybe its already in the plans. Would be greatly appreciated

Hello
i recently switched all my GTX 1070/1070ti to ETH due to ZEC price drops etc. I find some rigs work ok (stable) and on some the hashrate is fluctuating.
may this be realted to drivers? are there drivers ok ?
385.41 for 6x1070 rigs
and 388.59 fo 6x1070ti rigs? or claymore requires the newest nvidia drivers?
i use v10.5 version.... the HASHRATE is ok at the start, but then after some time fluctuates. I check on nanopool for 6hr average and find some rigs only have 170 MH/s avg.
settings differ cause i try...
1070: power 75 (high but i want stability, not really low power), core -200 (some -190 now), mem +680 (some +690). the rigs are very cool temps around 38-42 deg.
i put -r 120 so the client restarts (i find this give better hash?)
MY RX580 rigs are 100% stable there is no fluctiation but nvidia with ETH gives me headache plz help ;-)

I saw "goodbitprofit" bat file in recent post. I have questions about -etht 1000 settings and -estale 1.
For that -etht 1000 I saw in one you tube video I can not remember about what it was, but from that time I am using that command, and I am not shure for what is it. But after using it my rigs working normal. About another -estale 1 I am not using it. I was also tried several different setups, and finally I find this to work for me. It seems that some setups are not working on another setups, how I see. Depending from memories, drivers, type of rasers, Windows,... I also learn that after 3 GPU you need to play with Windows, 4Decoding,... to can fix all problems. Maybe your Power Supply is not enough for all GPU-s what you are using. It can be maybe also problem with drivers. Or virtual Memori,.. Try first to set up 1 GPU, with all drivers. Let it work for some time, then add 2 GPU, then test, then add 2 more GPU and test,... In one week I had 10 reinstall of windows and drivers, pain in the ass
