hja, i looks it is a 4GB problem, with DAG 351 is working at full hash, after 351, so 352 and fwd it gets down to 2.6mhs. So game over for 4GB cards.
Its not game over, you just need to switch to a different OS. Your best bet is to just switch to Linux and you can use SMOS. If you are technically more inclined you can just use Ubuntu instead. I had to do the same over the weekend. SMOS I think you need to pay for but there is a free trial. I didn't use SMOS because I needed Wifi to work. Just make sure you are using a motherboard with a built-in video. Usually most motherboards have this and you will find a HDMI, DVI or VGA port on the motherboard. Make sure this is primary video. Just keep in mind that you will run into issues such as installing AMD drivers, setting clocks and undervolting. However when you do it once, you will quickly do it for rest of your rigs.

How long will you mine with 4gbs after dag 373 with ubuntu linux?, by my calculations if using smos, the end is dag 385 which will be around 26 November, for windows is dag 373 which will be around October 26. PM dev said "Under Linux all relatively recent drivers (i.e. last 24-36 months) allow mining until epoch 378-380 but there are much more driver bugs, so if you are happy with your current driver version, do not change it."

I have come across a strange problem. My Gigabyte RX580 8GB cards was hashing at about 31 Mh/s but has suddenly fallen to 25. It is like Clymore 15.0 can no longer apply the straps but there is no indications of anything wrong in the log files. If i remove the -strap option they will actually run a bit faster. And if I flash the VBIOS they will be back up to 31. Can anyone explain that? They were running a bit faster with strap from Claymore than the VBIOS I have found (or made, can't remember) so it would be nice to get it working as it should. Win10, AMD 20.4.2

I have strange issue. After some time I run ETh miner on 570 4GB and 580 8Gb cards using 20.8.1 The problem is 580 is mining @∟29Mhs, 570 @ 2.6Mhs. Both cards are set to compute. Anyone have any idea?

You get couple more epoch with TeamRedMiner for the main gpu and maybe 10 with other GPUs, not sure what it does differently than Claymore or PM, but its still possible to mine with win10.

-di GPU indexes, default is all available GPUs. For example, if you have four GPUs "-di 02" will enable only first and third GPUs (#0 and #2). You can also turn on/off cards in runtime with "0"..."9" keys and check current statistics with "s" key. For systems with more than 10 GPUs: use letters to specify indexes more than 9, for example, "a" means index 10, "b" means index 11, etc; also "a", "b", and "c" keys allow you to turn on/off GPU #10, #11 and #12 in runtime.
Thank you. OK, as I understood, I can’t disable specific cards but have to enable cards leaving out the cards I want to stay disabled. Right, it is workarround but it could help. I will try that. I was just wondering can batch file have any command like type 1 and type 4, so when miner starts it inputs which cards to be disabled, like when I do it manually with pressing 1 and 4. I have use of -rxboost for disabled cards on that other job which I use them for. That’s why I asked if there is a way to do it with batch file, after miner executes, batch should maintain runing script which will say disable card 1 and card 4, with some command which replaces me typing 1 and 4 for disabling cards 1 and 4. OK, thank you, I’ll keep searching if there is a way to run command in batch file which will replace manal typing 1 and 4 after miner starts working.

Hello, I need a little help with a batch file.
How should my batch file look if I wanted to disable some number of cards after starting a miner?
For example, I start miner with batch file and I need to disable GPU 1 and GPU 4 right after starting a miner. How can I do that with a batch file?
Now my rig starts up with normal batch file for starting a miner and after that I just type 1 and 4 manually and cards are disabled. Can cards be disabled directly from batch, and enabled later manually?
*Sometimes I forget to disable cards and it makes a problem with some of my work, for which I need those two cards, that’s why I need miner to start with those cards disabled, and when I finish with them I would enable them back manually typing 1 and 4.
Thank you in advance
I deactivate in windows, in the list of devices, right click deactivate. and I do my maintenance, worry is that I have to restart claymore ... for it to take it into account I don’t need cards totally deactivated. They need to be disabled only in Claymore, but they need to be still running, possibly with -rxboost straps from Claymore, so I can use them for other job. When that other job, which cards 1 and 4 are doing, is finished, I would just simply activate them back with typing 1 and 4 and they would join other four cards mining in Claymore. If you look in relpy just before yours, I got some workarround solution. It’s using command -di for Claymore, I still haven’t tried that, but it will probably do the trick.. My question was basic coding related, I think. How to disable cards 1 and 4 with command in batch file. Not using Claymore commands, but some basic coding commands which would simulate me typing 1 and 4 after the Claymore has started. Is that even possible in one batch file? I guess my question is basic coding related since I got workarround solution with Claymore command -di. Someone with knowledge of basic coding would know if that is possible and how. Untill then the -di command in Claymore should do the trick, but I won’t know untill I try it.

If card is flashed, no need for -strap, -strap is to allow memory boost without flashing for ease of use. If want to use -strap to test memory settings, try driver uninstall then install (Claymore driver....)

As a stupid dumb quick solution for 4gb cards if you did not mod your bios...
Run claymore v15 and after it applies the straps just right click on the cmd bar and hit edit -> mark. This will pause the program. Your timings and straps are applied.
Now go run say....phx miner with basically no settings except your pool since the GPU settings are done and you can continue mining for a bit until you have time to mod your bios/linux etc.
GL!
That is an interesting question. It will depend on if the DAG has been loaded or not. If that DAG is loaded with CM than it won't load for Phoenix since the memory is already in use. The only way to find out for sure is to try it out..

Bro just make the pool some bogus nonsense.... then it applies straps but doesn't create the DAG and burn RAM

Hello all. I have aproblem with v15.0 of miner software and rx 570 8 GB gpu. I install the gpu last amd driver and when start to mine the miner show me error 1002 that can not install the driver and my gpu start mining ETH with only 9MH/s. I tried everything: reinstall amd drivers, try different driver version but nothing. Still 9MH/s. The gpu is absolutley new card. My OS is Windows 7 SP1. How can i fix this problem?

Do a clean driver install - remove driver using DDU -> Use DDU https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.htmlPhoenix Miner or Claymore Miner - download them and run with administrator right in command prompt When the miners start you press the "y" key to enable Compute Mode.Reboot the computer. Try again to mine, should be 22 to 24 MH/sYou can use any driver version even from 18.whatever I personally use " Win10-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-2020-Edition- 19.12.2-Dec12" You can use -> https[Suspicious link removed] for windows 7[/b] Any questions , come back and ask again

The only way to find out for sure is to try it out.. In Win10 it won’t load DAG since it says not enough memory, cards hanging, restart miner etc. Simple -wd 0 stops Claymore from restarting. I tried that and it’s working. Actually I needed -rxboost from Claymore for another job for two cards from rig. That’s how I found out about it. It’s really working in Win10 with any other miner or aplication where you need higher mem speeds Just tried that edit -> mark thing and it’s also working..

Dev fee address was probably changed to donate to you instead. No thank you. How about you stop spamming the forum with your "mirror" links?
