Hey everyone. There is a new margin patch (2.1.2) available on margin.de that you all should install. It contains everything in the last beta plus a Windows bug fix and a fix for the ping pong bot.

Please download and install it!!

Best wishes,
Jonathan

nevermind, I did it with SCP from my local machine.

However I can't seem to get MARGIN to actually run on the linux server. I unzipped the archive, tried to run the "margin-linux/run-margin.sh" script both on the desktop and from the terminal, but it just opens a terminal window and doesn't actually do anything.

EDIT, got that working as well...

This upgrade went beautifully!

I was able to load all my strategies from start and all of them resumed exactly where they were when margin closed. All of my EMA offset lines in Immediate mode are showing properly. Awesome attention to detail!

This patch release really, really shines!

Thanks Team!

Some exchanges may soon be flush with fresh BTC as the exodus from BitFinex continues, pushing BTC on that exchange to the $5500 range.

Heres what I see... The bot would probably buy when that green candle was on top (close) and sell when the red candle is at the bottom (close). And herein lies the problem with the emma bot... its too slow to react and when it does its too late and a potential profit situation turns into a loss.
The BB would work better in this case.

I dont trust the Ema bot one bit. I have played with it several times and cant get it to work properly.

I was making light of the fact that the Chinese contingent is totally wagging the dog by the tail from the time they wake up until they go to bed. No wonder their government is so afraid of it.  Shocked

FWIW - There was less than $10 available to trade with in this window, that is why no buy occurred.

Since last August I have only traded using EMA or long hodls. It has worked pretty well for me, I'm happy to take a little off the top from time to time and pass the rest along. I don't treat it like a gambling machine either, only a percent or two on each pair. I stick with what works and don't lament what doesn't work, no one strategy is fitting for everyone.

Happy Trading!  Wink

What kind of settings do you use for the EMMA? I have not been able to create any settings that produce any positive results.

What kind of settings do you use for the EMMA? I have not been able to create any settings that produce any positive results.
In early April I turned on Immediate mode and set the percentage from 2% to 1%. I'm still evaluating its performance because the market started correcting mid-month. The amount traded varies from $100 to $20 where I am now, depending on market conditions. Any silliness on my part with finger checks or misnomer setting may end up as a HODL for the duration, some pairs have 5 hodls. This also happens when I move off other exchanges. Right now I am only trading all of the non-stable coin pairs in USDT on Binance and have been since I consolidated from 9 exchanges to 1 in November. I was also only using EMA/HODL on the other exchanges as well since August. A great deal of personal study went into the settings I've been using, just like when I was using Bollinger Bands which was hugely exciting to me, but like I mentioned previously I only work with what works with the way my mind works. I'm sure I'll  have a great time experimenting with whatever magic margin brews up with future strategies but I am quite content with EMA for now.

Growth, accumulation of tokens is my primary goal, learning how the market works and the toughest thing is training my mind to make subtle changes. Buying medication for my wife and paying for the server is where I spend Satoshi, the rest can go to my heirs so they have a little something once fiat collapses.

Happy Trading!

The Great LONG!
https://www.fxstreet.com/cryptocurrencies/news/top-3-price-prediction-bitcoin-ripple-ethereum-two-steps-away-from-the-great-long-201905160913

I concur with this analysis as I have a BTC long waiting just below $8500 where we were on July 25, 2018 at the last apex just before BTC lost 60%.

Once the hodls from July 25th have cleared there should be an avalanche of money to carry us to the magic $10,000 BTC where FOMO will kick in, after that who knows maybe $14,700 by the end of summer?  Grin

Don't forget to set aside 20-25% from time to time for your rainy day fund.  Wink

Happy Trading!
