Hey guys, I went through some of the pages.. and could not find the answer to the issue I am having. (I thought I fixed it, but looks like not fully fixed it)

I am trading on Binance and here what I get:

Code:
02/27 06:39:52 pm binance:bot:BCPT/BTC: [strategy-9] waiting for recovery finished. Transitioning back
02/27 06:39:52 pm binance:bot:BCPT/BTC: [strategy-9] transition to "replacing order"
02/27 06:39:53 pm binance:bot:BCPT/BTC: [strategy-9] transition to "creating sell order"
02/27 06:39:54 pm binance:bot:BCPT/BTC: [strategy-9] placing order sell 30 BCPT @0.00014959 BTC
02/27 06:39:54 pm binance:bot:BCPT/BTC: [strategy-9] transition to "waiting for order to be placed"
02/27 06:39:54 pm binance:BCPT/BTC: [Method:place_order (params: symbol=BCPTBTC&side=SELL&type=LIMIT&timeInForce=GTC&quantity=30&price=0.00014959) ] error in DefaultMarketInterface::httpPOST: network error: [http code: 400(Bad Request)]: ProtocolInvalidOperation (the requested operation is invalid for this protocol) (try 1 of 10), message received: {"code":-2010,"msg":"Account has insufficient balance for requested action."}
02/27 06:39:54 pm binance:BCPT/BTC: Successfully handled httpPost error: recovered document: -{
  "code" : -2010,
"msg" : "Account has insufficient balance for requested action."
}
-
02/27 06:39:54 pm binance:BCPT/BTC: order could not be placed (error while requesting place_order: Message: "Account has insufficient balance for requested action." (Code: -2010))
02/27 06:39:55 pm binance:bot:BCPT/BTC: [strategy-9] an exception occured while the bot was running :'order could not be placed'
02/27 06:39:55 pm binance:bot:BCPT/BTC: [strategy-9] error recovery mode for [placing-failed] active: will try to recover 5 minutes ...
02/27 06:39:55 pm binance:bot:BCPT/BTC: [strategy-9] transition to "error occurred waiting for reinitialization"

I was getting this error first on all pairs when I had Using BNB to pay for fees On, but I switched it off and then it seems to work fine, but then BNBBTC kinda got stuck on  placing the sale order and then from there I started to get this error message again. Please advice, why is this happening?

I have Using BNB to pay for fees is off now, nut still getting this error on some pairs, some not... which does not make any scene to me. I really love this software, but I spent almost 8 hours, trying to figure out how to fix problems, which I wasn't aware before purchasing...  Undecided

Ugg, sounds like one for support. Send them the log and a screenshot. support@marginsoftware.de

I have been trading that pair all day with 3 bots and BNB turned on (I am also trading BNB).

First of all make sure you have enough BNB to cover the transaction fee, secondly never trade with all your BNB it may not be there when you need it and mess with everything. Mine looks like this 4 of those BNB are in reserve.

Ahh! See you figured it out!  Grin

Guys, majority of software developers are switching to the subscription model. I don't know anyone who switched are giving away unlimited subscription to existing customers.

I do not think you are correct. Majority of soft is under lifetime licence. Even Microsoft. The subscribtion model is used largely by  those who need to add changes on every day bases, like antivirus products, where virus signuatures must be updated day-by-day. Leonardo is not such kind of product. It is just good terminal for traders  , nothing more, as modern bots available on market  are using AI and far ahead of Leonardo's bots

I would suggest to leave lifetime licence but increase the price for one instance (market) , say by 10 times for new customers and/or new instances( market/s) for old customers

I am disappointed with this announcement.

Leonardo/Margin will not fit my needs anymore as a very small investor. Sad
Its a shame I really liked it and will continue using Leonardo until it stops working altogether.

Same. This totally feels like a bait and switch. Extremely disappointing especially considering that the plan offered to "hero" customers seems like an afterthought.

This is a joke right?

We listen to our customers and then make an offer and you also don't like that!!

If you want to charge NEW customers more money, or per month I see nothing wrong with that.

You're existing customers paid up front for your Lifetime Licence with free updates.  They should not be subject to ANY switch and bait subscription fees tacked in after the sale.

When we paid up front for your "Lifetime License with free upgrades" we didn't agree to any additional charges that amount to $180 PER YEAR (with major restrictions in use), $348 PER YEAR (with restricted use) or $2,388 PER YEAR (unrestricted).

All Subscription fees should be PERMANENTLY waived for pre-existing customers that already paid for their Lifetime License fees. If you want to adopt a new pricing. Then it should ONLY be for future customers that didn't already pay for their lifetime license agreement.

Otherwise, If you can't honor your side of our legally binding contract. I would like a 100% refund without question.

You are absolutely right on your comment TOPBILL !!

Imagine those idiots who bought Ultra-lifetime license just a few weeks ago.
I'm one of them. Angry

Some of us, also bought equipment to run leoNardo, like pc, raspbery etc

But don't worry, Mr Jonathan says we can keep leoNardo for life...without exchanges API updates or any kind of support. Shocked

...and use it for what ? Trading with my dog ?

Maybe all this time, we were beta testers for the new margin software. Not paid but paying beta testers.

I'm buying software and scripts more than 20 years, never saw such a business tactic before for already customers.

Support continues for leonArdo customers so I don't know what you are talking about there?

Which software did you buy 20 years ago that you continue to get updates for and haven't paid a penny for since? Would love to know!

Existing customers get a pretty good deal in our opinion.

Edit: As a leonArdo customer you will also be entitled to a 50% discount on all future margin terminal subscription payments. The offer will kick in if you sign up for a subscription within a month of your free period ending.

Too bad we couldn't stay on with free lifetime subscription and only charge subscription fees to new customers, but I understand the subscription fee might become inaccessible in that case. I'm not unhappy with $15/mo for the standard plan (with discount), I just hope it doesn't go up later.

Do we have to keep a continuous subscription for the 50% discount? Can I pay for one month subscription, take a 1 year break, and still pay the discounted rate when I come back?

Good question. The discount is associated with your account so once you sign up initially within a month this feature is activated. A break is then possible without penalties.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

Not all software, but many of them. I never needed subscription model for Adobe Lightroom but they forced it. Same for MS Office suits (kinda forced me to switch to Google docs at the end). I can name couple more but I guess that's pointless. All software need updates to keep up with new features and bug fixes - that require $$.

If Leonardo is a mature product that froze any new features, then I understand. But I can see that it is a rapidly developing product, at least for now.

Also, Leonardo appears to be initially developed as a terminal app, trying to expand towards scopes of bots. It's not quite there yet (I am currently using both Leonardo and Profit Trailer). But even the developers have admitted that this is the case and they intend to work on this. IMO, Leonardo is a nice product to use in conjunction with other bots to "debug" parameters for the bots. With the market fluctuation, I find that it is hard to figure out the right parameters for the bots without visualizing what it is doing. I would love to see Leonardo integrate more sophisticated bot features built in so that I can visually confirm all the moves made by the bots. I would call it a bot IDE/debugger. Smiley

In terms of complexity of development, I can't really say Leonardo is any easier (less effort?) product to develop than bots. But I agree, most of the bots out there are more sophisticated at the moment.

Again, my 2c.

I really like the spot buy and sell available with the Bollinger Band strategy. Unless the pair is actually purchased your funds remain available for other strategies. Until I set them up for myself I was unaware how many times I could leverage the available funds because of spot buys. Probably getting better coverage on Binance with 1/3 the funding using Bollinger Band than I am mArgin maker on Bittrex. It wasn't until the last pair I setup that I used the strategy copy function, geeze. Actually got to see the red (!) when adding pairs (about three hours ago). So much fun so little time!  Now if we could only get a slight undulation in the market. Grin

With mArgin maker the bot can adjust the amount of the current order. If the order is outside the margin line and the percentages is greater than what you have filled in (default .1%) the order will be canceled and replaced provided there are enough funds.

How to subscribe to the new offer with discount?
On the website there is still the old offer.

Hello, i understand why you guys have to change the payment method. It is not something I like, but it is understandable since you guys have to grow and still make money. I got a few questions:

- can you pay for 1 month? Or does it have to be a year, and if so do you have to pay for a full year? Since i only invest small amounts of money and if i have to pay 180 a year i wouldn't like that.

- will you guys make a stoploss setting for just the manual sell orders? I think that would be very helpful.

I wish I kept my Bitcoin instead of buying this bot. I would have made more money in the long term just holding BTC instead of now having to pay more for monthly subscriptions! I'm not going to put any more money into this. It was also difficult to learn without clear step by step tutorials on how to get started and see it making a profit.

Will you make big updates on Leonardo before the change? I would like to have at least Fib retracement tool and Trailing Stop loss if possible. If you're kind enough to let us experience big updates on Leonardo before the transition we'd greatly appreciate it Cheesy

Thanks Devs Smiley
P.S. Don't worry if I tend to earn enough with Leonardo then I'll consider the Subscription based model Cheesy

There is a problem with Leonardo and Bittrex.
I dont know whos to blame but the fact is that Leonardo stops communicating with Bittrex after awhile.

The only option is to restart Leonardo and with that take the risk that any running bots might stop altogether and have to be restarted...
The problem with that is that when bots are in sell mode and lose the eff min gain % setting which makes it unsuitable to be restarted because in a downtrend market like now means a loss sell guaranteed.\

Hi,

can you please explain what is happening here? (Bollinger Band Bot)
https://ibb.co/cu3nLx

What is the difference between bid/ask and actual rate? Why the bot sets a lower price for sell than the current market price and a higher for buy?  Finally we have profit, but I'm trying to understand the concept..
I also noticed the same behavior in other pairs (always BB)..

I also include part of the log file:

BTC has been on the rise since 7:30 last night, I am wondering if it is the market or just the full moon effect? Tuning Bollinger Band for the Forex market seems to work better, there should be a book written called "Standard Deviation 3 can be your friend!"  Cheesy Wink

Bucket List Item #10: Buy and sell a WALL with margin.

I do NOT recommend anyone to buy anything from this developer.

I bought the unlimited edition just a couple of weeks ago FOR 249 USD (my decision was based on their false claims) and all I can have now is just 6 month of supported product. I mean... seriously?

Yes maybe "lifetime support" doesn't literally mean lifetime, but when I invested I chose this product and paid for it based on that information - to get at least 1, maybe 2-3 years of supported product.

What I've got instead, is 6 month of supported product for $249. Integrity? Anyone? You do what, when and how you want and that's ok for you. What you promised just a couple weeks ago is now... well, not valid. You guys lied to me.

I sent them this email 4 days ago and they don't even bother to reply to me.
So I decided to post it here to let you guys know...
=============================================================

I just read that Leonardo will no longer be supported and you will
change your company name. I must confess that it does not make me feel
very happy and a bit foolish.

You should know that I made the decision to buy your software was for 2 reasons:
1) It was not necessary to pay monthly for support.
2) I expected several features to be added, as you promised me by email.

In both cases, this is not going to happen as I expected. I've read
your answers on the support forum and your attitude towards your
existing customers doesn't seem to be appropriate.

Before I even bought your software, I asked many questions about the
future development of the software. Your team seemed to be in complete
agreement with my feature requests and let me believe that they were
on the roadmap. As I mentioned in a previous email, I still don't use
my license because I was waiting for my applications to arrive one
day, which will never happen. I bought a license to encourage you in
Leonardo's development!

Suddenly changing your business model from a single cost to a monthly
cost shouldn't impact your existing customers in any way. Having
bought Leonardo, I trusted you and I thought I could use this tool for
at least 5 years! Please stop saying that we will be able to use the
old software until the end of time, it is totally absurd because we
are dependent and at the mercy of API updates from trading platforms.
Please, at least don't take us for fools.

That said, I appreciate that you will offer 50% to all existing
customers even if this decision was not initially considered. Although
I can understand that the support and improvement of a software
requires sufficient financial resources, this discount is not enough
and your customers have let you know on the forum. Your hero badge
story is felt like a joke and unnecessary.

Please revise your strategy before it is too late and trust is
completely broken. I still believe in your product and your team.

An existing customer.
