Counting the actual number of people who currently use bitcoin is really hard considering that there's a large number of users who invested and using it  payment with world wide coverage. May be the bitcoin team can release an estimated number but not the actual as transction may come and go in just a few seconds.

It can not be predicted. But I wish this should reach out to everyone in every corner and everyone should start using the bitcoins. The government should accept it and allow the people to use the bitcoins everywhere. The bitcoin would become much popular and the value of this would surely increase still more than what will be expected. The economy market will see a great spike in profit as well.

You could start counting all createt wallet adresses. This will take you a long time. But then you will just found the amount of adresses, because a lot of user has more then one and some of them always create a new adress for every transaction they made. And then there are so many lost account who will never ever be used. So i think you could treasure the amount of users!

Yes, I agree that it will be difficult to make such a calculation.  One and the same person can buy bitcoin under different names.  And in the end, the statistics will be unreliable.

The system can count how many addresses were made but it is impossible to know the actual count of users because one user uses many addresses.

I think by collecting every wallet and registered account can predict the number of each user, even if it does not really match. because everyone can generate some wallets and accounts.

It cannot be ascertained exactly it can only be estimated based on the number of the addresses created.But i am sure that the number of users is increasing as bitcoin awareness has already increased as years pass.

we can not really count how many people are in the world but many are well known and know the bitcoin but those who know bitcoin talk.org in my million also.

The more difficult amount of people using bitcoin would be the ones that are actually using it to pay for legitimate goods and services and not just hodling as a speculative investment or trading.

I think you cannot speculate the number of people using bitcoin exactly. Because, a user can create many accounts as his wish. If someone can say the total number of bitcoin user, it might be the total registered users (of an exchange or an online wallet) of a company, not the actual number of peoples.

Especially when you consider that current fiat related payment platforms are also moving forward, where the cost of using it for people is zero, and all payments are instant. Another plus for these people is that they also enjoy buyers protection. I don't think we'll ever come to a point where even a small or medium country is feeling the impact of people transacting with Bitcoin.

Knowing the exact number of people using Bitcoin is too hard because it is changing every single time. It is like technology, it's changing every time. There is no way to determine this as people use multiple wallets. Also, why do you need this data for ?
