roi after how many months?
Based only on income per new miner -- can be a bitch. However, my farm income from all of the other already paid off miners pays for an s9 in ~11 days depending on pool luck. So pretty painless once a farm is sufficiently grown in size and aged a bit

well over a year not including the diff increases (in Wisconsin with $0.13111kWh electric rate ) edit: WE Energies residential rate is $0.13111 ... not $0.14111 as originally posted. ( damn fat fingers )

im confused about your numbers....at the top you total dont include import taxes for the miner it seems. at the bottom you show prices that seem to include import taxes....sorta like your making your nurs look better then they really are. also the price ofbtc hasnt been 670 euros since june 19th which is fell sharply soon after that....like next day soon lol. that means you only mined at these numbers for a couple of days at most before the fall but thats if the miners arrived on time which im sure you did get a few solid days of mining. another thing i didnt see were costs for repairs...was it you that had issues with boards not working? if so the speed and or cost of sending the board/boards back should also be factored into your above numbers.
yes the first batch is a little fast but many of the people running them underclocked them because they were highly unstable at those speeds and if you got yours to run at full speed great but u would be one of the only people to actually pull that off so im not sure i see that being likely but more power to you. i also didnt factor in the cost of your power....how much do u pay per kwh??
anyone that paid before the halving got screwed. unless you have free power....free rent....free internet....live in ur moms basement....free import taxes (no one has this)....and any number of other highly unlikely things (but not imposible but i doubt everything applies to you) with ur setup the roi dates didnt make it worth it not to mention the price of btc went DOWN making the roi dates even further down the line then they were before. i think if ur gonna post numbers they should be the same one accross the board not ones missing key info at the top and ones that include key info at the bottom. key info being import taxes. keep all prices in one currency too. dont start with usd at the top and finish with euros at the bottom to fudge the numbers a bit. if you want to do the prices in euros do it in euros and same goes for usd just dont mix in a little of both.
I did not calculating with VAT, but it is easy to add -VAT = 20% This was because the same 20% amount must be added to the current purchase. I did not include the return of the 5 hasboards from total 63 blades or shipping costs to warranty- 70 x 5 =350 euro,. You can also today purchase miner with D.O.A. hasboard. I'm even pretty sure that batch10 and batch11 miners need warranty repair, especially center blades. That missing key was not mine blade and problem. I always make photos before shipping to china. So they can not lie to me. EUR USD exchange rate is variable , But it was a good rate for paing Batch1 miners with USD exchanging from euro. I do not have a rent in ovn house and I have the internet anyway for television. My electricity price is 0.095 euro to 0.098 euro for kW/h

That is a lot of ph coming online. Ja. Even accounting for folks like me who will be taking 3x s7's offline to free up power and replacing them with the 2x s9's it is still gonna make for a big bump in hashrate.

I am resisting for now. But if BTC goes up some more I might bite on one more. I have one more S7 to replace. I sure wish there was another mining manufacturing option available.

Its a VERY VERY large -IF- ...... for me .... to jump on the S9 bandwagon
If BTC's value starts to go to the moon... & If the cost of the S9 drops.... & If I start building a solar array to supplement power.... $0.13111/kWh is not cheap....
Till then, my S7's are sitting awaiting a solar array.... realistically, they may never mine again.... --I-- many never mine BTC again, just too many ifs to line up to make it profitable again with a half-way decent ROI on any new equipment purchased....

Reckon they'll do like they've done a couple times before and reopen sales in a couple hours once we're all panicking and desperate?

I'd be a lot happier if they sold you some chips

I'd be a lot happier if they sold you some chips Or at least finally put up a data sheet on them. For all the other chips in the BM family, data sheets were up soon after their miners using them were up for sale. Biggest problem *this time* in getting Bitmain to even talk about selling chips is the safe bet that TSMC no doubt still has a cap on how many wafers of boutique 16nm chips Bitmain can get per-month. That said, all are slated for Bitmains consumption only (Ants) with none planned for loose chip sales.
