You don't need that much, only 5000 to witness but you do get better rewards the more coins you have. Anything between 80 000 and 120 000 would be more then enough and trying to buy a million coins at these low prices would push up the prices by 50%.
The total supply is 358 million and if everyone tries to witness with 1 million coins it would mean only 358 people could possibly witness. This is why 100 000 which is still more then most will witness with is a good amount.

Above 140k it does not make a lot of sense to wittnes more, cause the algo will not give you more weight/interest. So better do 10 times 100k.

All witness accounts will be topped off to 1% off the total witness weight.

Nocks is doing well, Bittrex volume and price won't be a concern in the future as crypto traders are losing control of Gulden. Gulden is being distributed to the public more then any other coin outside the top 20.

I didn't want to post this in the Gulden Announcement page to avoid bias opinions but wanted to know if Gulden is a safe bet compared to other alt coins. The reason I am asking is I noticed there ranking on coinmarketcap is way below other coins that have nothing going for them or is it that the other alt coins are way over priced?

The current rally in Gulden I don't believe has anything to do with the PoW2 and SegSig update coming soon. This is just people finding out about Gulden through word of mouth. Once the world has confirmation on PoW2 and SegSig with official release date then the fun will start.
