There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

It's starting to dump hard on polo, but I see bots and whales are controlling this. This will get epic bros! Looks like ETC is going to be a very good coin to trade on Poloniex!

Yep, people really need to spread the hashrate around. Really there's only one reputable pool that I've used for a long time, I don't use random pools that pop up like that. Learned my lesson on that deal way back. It would be cool if we could get coin-miners.info on the op

It's amazing how clueless the forkers are about ETC:

https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/8590/ethereum-classic-etc

Quote
Upon it's inception, miners instantly attacked it and made it so there was little to no security and transaction verification, to the point where it was about to fail entirely

If I have an old eth address created long ago, but I updated to the fork, can I use the same address to store fork and non-fork coins?

By at least Poloniex gave everybody who had Eth when it hard fork equal etc! That is epic. You got to respect Poloniex. But yeah it's all about the money. Remember Poloniex made Eth trading what it is today...

Anyone mining at http://pool.ethereumclassic.com/#/   ??

Seems the blocks are getting found but nothing happens after that, no balances or anything.  Waste of hash power?
